This brush is actually much bigger than expected, which makes it very efficient at applying a light dusting of powder over the face, and also blending. Its one of the bigger brushes I own, so I don't find much use out of it, other than applying powder, but it works great for that. Its also pretty easy to clean, and drying time isn't too bad, as the brush is not as dense. -

The buffing brush comes in the core collection - which is a great set (with the exception of the foundation brush that I don't find much use for other than liquid highlighter), and works for basically everything face related, both cream and powder. Its dense, soft and a good size, though it is smaller than expected.
The RT bold metals collection is softer than the regular line, and the handles are weighted, longer, and pointier, but I don't think this really does much other than feel expensive. I actually prefer the regular line brushes more, as they are more affordable and do not look as dirty after using them. the bold metals collection does have a great range of brushes (with the exception of the triangle foundation brush), though I think you can find brushes that do similar things in the regular line.

This brush is an excellent size for being versatile on the eyes. It can apply eyeshadow, it can smudge, it can be a crease brush. Its not the softest synthetic brush, but it functions very well, and cleans pretty easily.

This brush is very soft (like all the other bold metals brushes), and great for blending. The bold metals brushes are weighted, but I find that this doesn't do much, other than feel expensive. This brush is actually a little big for me, so its good for blending, but not much else for the eyes. Because it is synthetic, I can get away with using it for concealer, and it works decently for that. The only thing that I'm not so fond of is that brush head is white (like all the other bold metals brushes, the brush heads are light colored) which makes it look dirty very easily. Though this is a great brush, the deluxe crease brush in the regular line functions the same way, and doesn't cost so much. -

I prefer this to the real techniques mini set, as I can use all the brushes. How cute they are aside, these brushes are great for travel and on the go. The eyeliner brush is the same as in the 5 piece set, with the same thin line application, the blush brush is a bit small, but still functions well. The eyedshadow brush is a little pokey, comparable to the petite shader brush in the 6 piece set, but will function in a pinch. Its rather unfortunate that this was limited edition, as I think this is so useful. -

This is one of the best ecotools brushes. It is retractable which makes it travel friendly and easy to use for touch ups (though it is rather big) and it is quite dense and also very soft as it is made of synthetic bristles. This brush is very versatile as i've used it for powder and liquid products. It is also great at buffing and blending, though because it is so dense, it does take a while to fully dry after cleaning. -
This is a pretty good synthetic eyeshadow brush. It is soft, and decently shaped. I wouldn't say that it is the best at picking up pigment, as it is synthetic, but it does a decent job in application and blending.

Ecotools has updated their eyeshadow brush to something that works better now. The older shading brush basically functioned as a concealer brush, and was not as good for eyeshadow.

Ecotools has released three different versions of this over the years, and I have purchased the first and most recent versions of this kit. These brushes are synthetic, and so decently soft, though they are a little pokey, though this this is mostly the two smaller brushes (smudge brush, petite eye shading brush), this is the same between the older and the newer set. The larger brushes are fine though. In the most recent version, they seem to have gotten rid of the "highlighting brush" which is more of a blending brush, and replaced it with a eyeliner brush. While the eyeliner brush works fine, the "highlighting" blending brush was of more utility, and I am rather disappointed that they got rid of that brush. -
