This is a good set of brushes for beginners, on sale this set is worth it, otherwise I would just recommend getting the eyeshadow brush, the concealer brush, and the eyeliner brush. The powder brush and blush brush are not very soft, but they work pretty well, and are useable. The lip brush is too soft to pick up a lot of product and not stiff enough to line the lips, the concealer brush works better as a lip brush. I find the smudge brush, lash and brow comb, and the eyelash and brow wand to be a bit gimmicky, but they still work as intended. The foundation brush is pretty good, its a basic foundation brush, but it is a bit small and it does streak with some foundations, but it does work. The defining eye brush and the blending eyeshadow brush I found to be very scratchy. The defining eye brush was a lot smaller than expected, and the blending eyeshadow was a lot shorter than expected. The two brushes still work decently, but I don't like how they are scratchy. -

This mascara does define the lashes, with some volume, but it leaves my lashes looking spidery, for some reason the vibrations make the clumps worse. This also doesn't coat my lashes evenly. This is a relatively natural mascara, and shouldn't be marketed for volume. The staying power for this is ok, with no flaking, but the formula is also very thin. This was definetly not worth the money, the vibrations didn't really do anything other than make things clumpy, as opposed to volumizing. -

I find that this defines and separates the lashes, but it also volumizes and thickens the lashes with another coat. 3 coats and it starts to get clumpy and spidery. I find that this also has pretty good staying power, with no flaking. -

I think this is one of the most versatile drugstore mascaras. In one coat this defines and lengthens the lashes. In two coats this gives some great volume and thickness. 3 coats gives more volume and thickness. While I find the brush to be a bit prickly, this combs through the lashes and deposits fibres that lengthen and volumize my lashes. I would not say that this gives a false lash look, but this does make your lashes look better. I find that this mascara can flake, because of the fibres, but it still ends up lasting a long time. -

When I first got this mascara, I found it to be really clumpy. However, I have found that this is a really good mascara to be used on top of other mascaras after separating and defining the lashes. This is the most volumizing mascara I have encountered, and it really gives extra volume to the lashes. This is also very black, and lasts and really long time. -

This mascara is great for the lower lash line and inner corner, it really defines and pulls out even the smallest of lashes. I have even used this on my top lashes, and it really defines the lashes ( but it took a really long time to put on because the wand was so small.) This mascara also is pretty budge proof and lasts all day. -
