This is one of those matte lipsticks that go on very matte, and are very drying. They are drying to the point where when they wear off, they flake off, but because they are so dry, they aren't sticky. They are very quick dry, so you'll need to work quickly. Once they set, they don't transfer. The colors are vibrant and opaque, though a couple of colors don't match the color in the tube. The darkest color (41 - fabulous, dark vampy red) is streaky and way darker than the color appears in the tube. The applicator is flat and flexible, which can make it hard to control the product. Personally, I think there are other liquid lipsticks out there now, that are much more comfortable, and wear better. -

I received this product as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club. This primer is silicone free, so it will not help with pores or fine lines. The product absorbs nicely and is light (likely due to the glycerin). This is a water based primer, so it won't play as well with oil based foundations. That said, its a decent base for the nude by nature mineral powder, but I don't know if made much of a difference in helping my foundation last longer compared to just using my regular moisturizer. This does have soy, olive and other fruit oil in it, so this may not agree with those who have sensitive skin. I also don't think this has Vitamin A in it, despite the product claiming that it does (as those should come with sunscreen warnings). For those who have drier skin or aging skin that is not sensitive to many oils and you want a primer with some skincare, I think this is a good option, however, I do think there are nicer, cheaper hydrating primers out there. -

I received this product as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club. This is the first mineral powder foundation that I have encountered that has this kind of mesh sifter. It dispenses the product pretty well and evenly on the brush. I do wonder whether it will be as effective once the product runs low. (The product contains 10g of product.) I like that there are different undertones of shades to choose from, but the colors are still a bit hard to match to considering that there appears to be a ton of variation between the numbers in the different shades. I suppose this works in the products favor as it is light to medium coverage, so the color isn't the biggest issue. I do like that it has spf15 in it, so that makes it easy to touch up sun protection during the day also. Its pretty finely milled, as it is made from kaolin clay. If you have dark pigmentation, this is not going to cover it, and you will need another concealer. Its not the most high coverage mineral product out there - but it doesn't claim to be high coverage. Its nice that there's another option for mineral powder out there though. -

I received this product as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club. The brush is a similar size to other bronzing brushes out there (ie. ecotools, quo, sephora). The shape is a little thinner than other bronzing brushes which makes it great for blush and highlight. The brush is made of synthetic bristles which means its not going to pick up as much product as a natural hair brush. That being said, it's much more wash friendly and less likely to hold bacteria. The brush appears to be made well, no shedding, with an even bristle cut. For mineral makeup, this brush serves its function - to buff in product, and is the right shape for the job. I do think there are other brushes at a nicer price point that can do the same job though, as this is a relatively standard brush shape. -

A free voucher for this product was received as part of the FamilyRated Club. We found this a good way to add fibre into my kid brother's breakfast, though it works better as a snack during the daytime, as its already in a container. He's a bit of a fussy eater, so he doesn't eat a ton of fruit. This is sweet enough that he'll eat it. Its nice that there's added fibre to this, but its pretty unnoticeable, so that helps with digestion. Would buy this again if there's a coupon. -

I recommended this to my friend, and this is her new HG. This powder is everything. It is finely milled, truly mattifying, and if you calculate, dirt cheap. Honestly, perfect for makeup artists, because it comes in huge 70g containers. I've used this for a year, and I have not made a dent in it at all. I don't think you need a ton of this when you use it as it is so finely milled, and spreads and blends like a dream. The only downside is that it contains talc (which is also in baby powder). It also only comes in two shades, translucent and medium, and translucent is quite pale, but if it works for your skin tone, and you're ok with paying more for a powder that is literally 70g, then I highly recommend this. -

This is the best drugstore lip oil. If you are looking for something that absorbs, hydrates with a hint of color, this is it. This also smells incredible - sweet, fruity and not too fake. There are only 3 colors, but they all work the same, These are also thinner than other lip oils, The opening to these are strangely huge, so oil can collect around the top, but other than that, no complaints. -

The pigmentation of these is pretty good for the price. Some of the colors are VERY pigmented. There's a lot of colors to choose from, including black. Some of the colors have shimmer, the majority do not. These glide effortlessly on the lips, with decent color payoff. They feel oilier than a balm, and so will transfer onto things. The darker colors do stain a little though. These won't dry out the lips, but they are certainly not matte. -

This is a pretty good product from elf. My only gripe is how little product you get. It is pigmented, so you won't find yourself using it up too fast. However, I like that you can be very precise with these. I have a bunch of these, and a couple have fallen out of their cases from time to time, so the quality isn't the best. I would not call these matte, as the lipsticks do no dry down matte like the liquid lipsticks or the velvet matte lipsticks. These have more of a satin finish. That being said, these won't dry out your lips, but they aren't as moisturizing as the moisturizing lipsticks. They do last longer than the moisturizing lipsticks, but not as long as the velvet matte lipsticks or liquid lipsticks. They're kind of in the middle as to what elf has to offer, and will likely cater to most people. There's also a hidden sharpener at the back, but I don't use it, because its precise enough without sharpening. The wide range of colors is nice, and there is a lot of berries to choose from. The colors natural and tea rose likely won't suit everyone. These are fairly inexpensive at $4 CDN, so they're worth a try. -
