I found this bar at Wal Mart for under $1 on clearance. I'm a big fan of Oh Henry bars, so I decided to give it a try. Each pack comes with two cookies. Each bar has a layer of rich and creamy milk chocolate on the outside, just like an ordinary Oh Henry bar. The interior contains a layer of stretchy caramel with nuts, a layer of buttery nougat, and finally a shortbread cookie on the bottom. The cookie is soft and buttery, with a similar consistency to the cookie in a Twix bar. The variety of tastes and texture throughout this bar are outstanding. You get chewy, crunchy, and crispy all in one delicious dessert. The buttery cookie and soft caramel combine with the nutty taste and crunch of peanuts. The nougat was my favaourite layer as it is buttery, dense, and delicious. One of the best chocolates I've had in a while. I plan to buy this again, but it is quite difficult to find. -

This is a delicious, rich granola bar that tastes like a chocolatey dessert. It is even comparable to eating a chocolate bar. The bottom of the bar is dipped in a delicious semi-sweet chocolate. The top layer of the bar is made primarily of rolled oats held together by a light syrup, making for a soft, chewy texture. There are three varieties of chocolate chips generously sprinkled on top of the bar: white chocolate, milk chocolate, and semi-sweet chocolate. The contrasting tastes of the chocolates come. through. This bar is fairly sweet, so it's great for those who have a sweet tooth. I'd definitely buy this again in a heart beat. Each bar is 150 calories. I bought a box of these from Costco, complaining eight of this flavour and eight Raspberry & Vanilla. -

I got a pack of these from Wal Mart for $2 on sale, post-Halloween. Each pack comes with approximately 20 cookies. The portion is two cookies for 170 calories, which is fair. The cookies are about the size of the middle of my palm (my hand is fairly small). They resemble smiling pumpkins, with the signature "carved" pumpkin look, which is cute for Halloween parties or getting into the Halloween spirit. The cookies are orange with green and purple features. The different colours stay throughout the cookie, so when you take a bite, you get a mix of Halloween colours. The sugar cookies are soft and moist. They melt in your mouth. They are fairly dense and thick. They taste buttery and sweet, without being overly sweet. These are not iced, so they are not as sweet as the frosted/iced Lofthouse cookies. I would definitely buy this again and wish I bought another pack. -

I got a pack of these from Giant Tiger for $2, which is a steal of a price. Each package contains approximately five portions of cookies, with each portion being three cookies for 150 calories. Each wafer cookie contains two layers of the cinnamon roll filling and three layers of wafer. The wafer is soft and provides a nice light crunch. It does not have much flavour but helps balance the sweetness from the rich cinnamon filling. The cinnamon filling tastes like crushed up cinnamon heart candies, so it is fairly sweet. Even though I am not a fan of cinnamon heart candies, I still loved these cookies. These cookies are delicate, light, and make for a great simple dessert. -

I got a pack of these from Food Basics for around $2.99. Each pack is filled with a tone of cookies, enough to serve to guests or keep around your house for several snacking episodes while sharing with others. The cookies are long regular wafer cookies stuffed with two layers of rich, creamy peanut butter filling. Each portion is three cookies for 150 calories, which is quite good. I usually like to have five or six as a snack after dinner. The wafer is soft and delicate, while also providing a nice crispiness. The peanut butter filling tastes natural and is not overly sweet. The cookies are light and airy. I'd recommend these to any peanut butter fans. -

I got a pack containing eight of these from Costco for around $15. I like to use them as a quick dinner idea, with a side of fries. Each comes wrapped with two per pack, so it's easy to pull two out of the freezer without taking them all out. This is essentially a chicken breast that is topped with a blend of mozzarella and parmesan cheese and rich tomato sauce. It is then covered with a crispy layer of breading. The chicken cutlet is thin in size, and is soft and moist. The tomato sauce is fresh and seasoned to perfection. The blend of cheeses is mild. I would have liked to see how this would taste with a stronger cheese flavour. The cheese is not stringy and does not ooze when eating it. Each chicken is 330 calories. -

I bought a pack of these loaves from Loblaws for around $5. The pack contains eight individual snack-sized loaves, all of which are individually wrapped. These are nut-free, so they are great for kids to take to school. They make a great snack or addition to lunch. Each loaf is 130 calories. The loaves are soft and moist. They have a strong French toast spice flavour- much more than I was expecting. There are also maple syrup pockets throughout the loaves, which makes me feel like I'm eating French toast drizzled with maple syrup. They are sweet without being overly sugary. They can be eaten frozen or at room temperature. I usually keep mine in the freezer until I'm ready to eat them, then I take them out to thaw. Freezing them does not affect the taste at all. These loaves are a quick way to eat French toast, as they taste just like the real thing. -

I got a box of these granola bars from Costco for around $12, with each box containing 12 Vanilla Almond bars and 12 Chocolate Banana bars. The granola bar is chewy. It also has a unique light bouncy crunch from the crispy rice cereal that makes up much of the bar, along with oats, coconut flakes, and a syrup to hold it together. I've never quite found this texture is any other granola bar and I love it. There is a vanilla taste that is sweet and delicious, but not at all artificial or overpowering. There are also a few tiny almond slivers throughout the bar. I could taste a mild nuttiness but do wish the almond flavour came through a bit more. Each granola bar is 120 calories and contains 6 per cent iron. -

A colleague of mine brought a box of these back from his trip to Hawaii. The box came with 24 individual chocolate cups. Each chocolate is fair in size and comes with it's own cupcake-style wrapper on the bottom. The Macnut Crunch is milk chocolate stuffed full (and boy is it ever stuffed full!) with rice crisps and macadamia nut pieces. The chocolate is not as creamy as I expected; it is more on the dry side. The rice crisps add a nice crunch. The macadamia nuts bring a mildly nutty flavour to the chocolate, though I did expect it to come out a bit more. In terms of price, I cannot comment as I did not buy them. I enjoyed getting to try these Hawaiian chocolates. -

I bought a box of 12 of these on sale for $9.99 at Metro. They are a bit hard to find in my area, so I had to go to a Metro near where I work to find a box of this particular flavour. The package notes the main trail mix ingredients as peanuts, chocolate, and raisins. Each bar is 250 calories with five grams of fibre (20 per cent daily recommended amount). It is an energy bar.
The bar is thick and chewy. When I first took a bite, the first flavour I tasted was of roasted peanuts--- it was delicious. There were visible pieces of peanuts spread throughout the bar.The full sized chocolate chips add a delicious sweetness and crunch to the bar. I did not see any raisins in my bar but I could taste the natural sweetness of the fruit. I also suggest putting this in the microwave for 20 seconds and eating it warm as this is how most people in my family prefer it-- though I like it equally both ways.
