This is one of my favourite breads. It's soft, fresh, and delicious. I like to pair it with my dinner when I'm having things like chili, butter chicken, or soup. It's a mildly sweet bread, similar to a Panettone, which is an Italian Christmas bread. There are plenty of plump raisins throughout, which add a natural sweetness. I bought an individually packaged bun for $1.09 at Metro in Toronto. They don't sell them at most Metros, unfortunately. The plastic wrapping can be microwaved, which is great as when microwaved the bread takes on a fresh freshly baked feel. These breads freeze and unfreeze well without a change in taste or texture. -

I bought a 1 kg jar of this peanut butter from Loblaws on sale for $3.99. Kraft is the brand name I grew up eating, but I've since moved onto other brands. I decided to give the Extra Creamy version a go to see if it appealed to me. This peanut butter is thick, creamy, and rich. I really enjoy the texture. It doesn't leave that buttery film on the roof of my mouth like Kraft Smooth does, which I appreciate. It has a honey sweetness to it, which I really enjoy. The creaminess of the peanut butter gives a decadent dessert-like feel. I enjoy eating this on a roti for breakfast or lunch. This may bring me back to Kraft. Each tablespoon contains 10% daily value of folate, vitamin E and Magnesium. -

These are great value lip chaps that can be purchased for a great value. I've purchased these from Wal Mart in the past. I like how they have SPF to protect from the sun. I like the delicious smells and how each pack come with a variety of different "flavours." These work fairly well. They are not great for extremely chapped lips but are good to use daily when my lips are not chapped, such as in fall or spring. They are small and compact, which fits into my purse perfectly. -

I got a box of these pumpkin soft cookies from Loblaws for around $3. Each cookie is 150 calories and comes individually wrapped. These cookies are seasonal for the Halloween holidays. They have a festive feel as they are shaped like carved pumpkins with the eyes and a smile carved out. The cookies give off a strong cinnamon pumpkin spice smell, which makes me just want to bit into one. The cookies are soft and chewy, with plenty of jelly pumpkin filling inside. I got filling in every bite. These taste great warmed in the microwave for 15 seconds. They have a warmth to them because of the spices used and aren't very sweet. I wish they were available year around. -

I got a box of six packets of cookies for around $3 with 50 per cent off. These cookies are gluten-, milk-, nut-, and soy-free, so they are great for people with allergies. They are also great to give for lunch at schools where peanut products are not allowed. Each pack is 110 calories and contains approximately 8 mini cookies. The cookies look like a mix between soft cookies and mini donuts slathered with cinnamon and sugar. The cookies are really dense and have a dense cookie/donut feel. They have a great cinnamon and sugar flavour but not that classic snickerdoodle flavour that I'm used to. I'd definitely buy these again. I'd give these a try if you're a fan of cinnamon and sugar. -

I bought this from the local Middle Eastern supermarket for about $2. There are only six ingredients in the bar, which are simple and easy to understand. The bar is chewy and crunchy thanks to the rice crisps and nuts, which include pecans and walnuts. The bar is held together by honey and rice syrup. There are plenty of full raisins throughout the bar, which add a natural sweetness along with the honey. The bar is not very sweet. Each bar is around 230 calories. This is good for those who like nuts and bars that aren't too sweet. It's a bit hard to find. -

I've tried a few varieties of these, such as Oats 'n Honey, Apple Crumble, and Peanut Butter. Each comes wrapped with two bars per pack. They are around 200 to 220 calories for pack. The bars are crunchy and wholesome. They make for a quick breakfast idea, paired with a fruit. The Apple Crumble is my absolutely favourite but I enjoy them all. They taste like what they are supposed to but without being overly strong in flavour or sweet. They have a nice oaty taste to them which makes them filling. I also like how the oats crumble. They can be a bit crumbly and messy, so I suggest eating with the wrapper underneath. These are great for people who don't enjoy sweet granola bars. -

These are one of my favourite chocolates and everyone in my family loves them. They are so delicate and decadent. I usually stock up around the holidays when Wal Mart sells a pack of three for $1 each. This also makes for a great stocking idea. They are crispy and crunchy. The delicate wafer on the exterior pairs so well with the Nutella filling inside. The Nutella filling is chocolatey with a hazelnut hint. In the centre is a full hazelnut which gives a big crunch and a great nutty taste. Surrounding the whole thing is a mil chocolate exterior which is lightly crunchy. I could eat these everyday. -

This yogurt has a sweet blueberry sauce on the bottom, which can be easily mixed with the vanilla Greek yogurt. The sauce has a natural blueberry taste- a bit like blueberry baby food, if you remember the taste from being a kid- and a few blueberries mixed in. The yogurt is creamy. The consistency is not overly thick, being in between a thick Greek yogurt and a runny regular yogurt. I purchased this at a price of three bunches for $10. Each yogurt "bunch" comes with four containers of yogurt. I like freezing my yogurt to eat as frozen yogurt. One thing I've noticed is this yogurt is not great for this as the vanilla yogurt loses some taste, so for this I'd go with another brand. Each container is 100 calories and contains 8% daily value of calcium. -

Jif peanut butter is back in Canada, as of this year! I have never tried the "Creamy" version before, but after trying the "Crunchy" for the first time a few weeks ago, I just had to give it a go. It did not disappoint! The peanut butter is smooth and rich. It has a strong nutty taste, with a great deal of sweetness added in. I think the sweet flavour comes from the cooking molasses, which makes it taste different than any other peanut butter I've tried on the market. I taste the sweet and salty components, for a great balance of flavour. This peanut butter is typically more expensive than others but it's definitely worth the price. Each tablespoon is 100 calories. -
