I was kindly gifted this lipstick by GlamGeek. This is the perfect pale nude. It smells like chocolate orange but doesn’t last long if you don’t like fragrance makeup. The lipstick is a mousse texture which makes it easy to apply along with the triangular shaped doe foot meaning that you can use the tip to outline your lips before using the whole of the applicator to fill in, it doesn’t streak. You can also use your fingers to apply this if you want a more subtle wash of colour to your lips. Within seconds it is dry and doesn’t dry your lips and lasts all day. It is smudge-proof and non-transferable. My lips felt soft and it was easy to remove with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish with the muslin cloth. -

I had heard a lot about Stila and wanted to try something of their’s so this was my first purchase. I wanted to use something other than black as I am always using black eye liner. This has a dark grey shimmer to it and as a woman of a certain age feels that wearing shimmer and glitter should be subtle. This is easy to apply and you can create either a thin line or a thick liner. The shape of the tip helps create a great flick if that’s how you want to wear your eyeliner. If like me you suffer from Dry Eye and/or MGD unfortunately this product contains some of the nasties that you have to avoid as they can cause irritation. -

The beginning of the year I decided to go back to my natural hair colour and to grow it long again. This is one of many products that I have bought to try and improve the health of my hair. The smell is lovely, and the texture of the product is thick like a body butter. I apply the most amount to the patch of straw like hair at the back of my head before applying it to the rest o my hair paying attention to the ends rather than the roots. I have left it on or the maximum time, but I think my hair could take it on longer with or without a shower cap on to keep the warmth in. Once the time has coming to an end It washes out easily leaving the hair smelling of coconuts and no residue. Once my hair dried naturally it felt healthy and was not weighed down. -

Though I try to use products that do not contain parabens I love this palette. The shadows look very bright in the palette, but they can be applied subtly. The shadows work well either on their own or with others from the palette. I have used the matte black and brown as an eyeliner which worked well and lasted all day. I used a brush to apply these shadows rather than the applicator that came with them as I found I had more control of how much and where I wanted to place the colour. These can be built up and layered to create different looks. There is little fall-out, but the colour play-off is brilliant. All the colours are wearable whatever your age and eye colour. I have worn m singularly to create a smoky look as well as combining two or more to create an eye look. I will be buying more of these palettes in the various shades ranges that they have. -

This is a stunning grey shade that can be worn every day. It has a silver sheen to it which makes it softer than a matte grey. It is easy to apply, one coat gives a sheer finish, two coats give a more solid finish. I like to apply three coats in order to give it depth and enhance the silver sheen to it. The brush coats each nails with the correct amount of product in three simple swipes allowing you to build the colour and fill in any areas that have not quite covered correctly without disturbing what you have already applied. -

This was part of the six free gifts that were on offer from the Dare Magazine that was available to purchase from Asda etc and was the main reason why I purchased the magazine as I had wanted to try Rodial.. I am not into the thick eyeliner look and didn’t like that I couldn’t get too close to the root of my lashes and the gap that was left. I did like the ability to smudge the liner to create a smokey eye effect though sometimes I didn’t want to smudge it, which meant that I would get a smudge mark below the eyebrow from the tacky liner. If you were not careful when applying your mascara, you could smudge the eyeliner. When wearing the eyeliner, I would always apply my mascara first and then applied the eyeliners this prevented any smudging. It was difficult to remove using my normal cleanser I would have to hold a cotton pads with Micellar water to my eyes for a couple minutes to help remove it before cleansing my face. Sorry Rodial I won’t be repurchasing the product again though it hasn’t put me off trying other products. -

I bought this as I wanted to create a flick and I didn’t have my favourite Benefit Roller Liner. This is a great alternative. I like that I can get really close to my upper lashes and that I can create a thin line or thick line depending on how I hold the pen. The ability to use the tip to create the perfect flick is great. -

This is the ultimate ‘basics’ eye palette that can be used on its own or as a base for other looks. It contains 11 matte shadows and 1 shimmer that can be worn over other shadows. The colour play-off is great, and they blend easily. There is a little residue left behind when used with a brush. It does come with a sponge applicator, but I didn’t use it with the shadows as I prefer to use a brush. You can use all of them as eye-shadows or I have used the darker shades as eye-liner applying them using an angle brush. They last all day, don’t fade or go patchy. You can create looks that are perfect with jeans and a t-shirt or for a day at the office or a night out. The shadows can be worn singularly or more than one as they all work well together. I used the darker shadows singularly create the smoky eye look for a jeans and t-shirt day and with other shadows to create a more structed eye look. The pale shadows are brilliant as a base. -

I bought this as I have a patch of straw like hair at the back of my head rom bleaching it during 2020. I try to use I every two weeks I have tried better but I do feel a difference in my hair once I have used it. But I think I need to use it more often that I do and probably a week of using it daily rather than one a week to see a bigger difference than I have. I will try it and report back. -

At the time I purchased these items C1 was the lightest shade they had, they have now released a white shade amongst other shades. These formulas blend well both under and over my foundation. I use the C1 under my eyes and C3 to hide any blemishes I have. I also use C3 to correct the colour of my eye lids as I have one darker than the other. I dot the product on using the doe foot applicator and then blend with my fingers, it doesn’t move my foundation. If I want a more polished finish I use my BeautyBlender to blend the product in under my eyes and my lids. Occasionally if I feel that the dark circles are more noticeable them I will apply C1 before my foundation and then C3 after applying my foundation. I also apply C3 to my nose and cheeks as it is permanently red if my foundation can’t take the redness down and blend using my BeautyBlender. These two products have now joined my arsenal of products that I use when I am having a good day. I will be re-purchasing them and other products from the range. They may be targeted to teens and young adults, but this middle-aged woman loves using them. -
