This is a thick rich cream that when applied to damp hair goes on smoothly. I may have applied too much but my hair seemed to drink it in even though I wouldn’t say my hair was dry or colour-treated. It washed out easily and didn’t leave a residue after leaving it on for the recommended time of five minutes. Once dry my hair felt soft and hydrated. It was manageable and held its style well without the use of hairspray or gel. -

I was kindly sent this to review by GlamGeek. The brush is densely packed with bristles and an unusual shape. I found that I had difficulty in applying it to the inner corner lashes then again it maybe the way I was holding the brush. There were very little flecks of mascara under my eyes at the end of the day, but I didn’t find that the curl to my lashes lasted as long as Benefit Roller Lash. It also didn’t give me the length or definition of my lashes that all of Benefit Mascaras give. One coat was not enough the get the desire effect I would have to apply three or four coats. I prefer a mascara that gives me definition, length, volume in one coat. This mascara was not for me. I must admit that it did come off my lashes without much effort. -

So, I will be totally honest here that the lockdowns have had an impact on my mental health in a bad way and the way I dealt with it was to shave my hair o and start bleaching it then using semi-permanent dyes to change the colour. This was another way to change my colour and try to embrace my grey hair. Bu it did not work for me which was a shame. My hair looked OK. I just think that it should not be used on bleached hair but hair that is going grey naturally. -

I am not a nail artist, but this varnish made me feel like one. The brush makes it easy to apply a thin coat and in three swipes along the nail. For a sheer effect you only need to apply one coat. The photograph below is two coats. It dries quickly and does not chip easily even without a topcoat. The glossiness of the polish lasts, some nail polishes the glossiness fades within a day or two – this didn’t. The varnish applied evenly to the nail plate and the colour in the bottle is the colour of the varnish, I have had some that dry darker or even lighter than that in the bottle -

I was kindly sent this by Lola Makeup to review. I chose the Pomegranate shade and I am very pleased with my choice. It doesn’t need a lipliner to be applied first as it doesn’t bleed into the fine lines that I have around my mouth. The pencil shape helps apply it to the lip area perfectly. There is enough pigment to give a hint of colour to the lips and is moisturising without being sticky. I like to apply it straight from the bullet but it is creamy enough to be applied with fingertips to give a more edgier look to the lips. Some cream lipsticks make the skin on my lips peel off this doesn’t. It stays all day. You can build the colour on your lips without it looking sticky or gloopy. This is one of those lipsticks that can be worn everyday with jeans and t-shirt or when you want to look more polished when wearing smart clothes such as a suit. -

First of all, I must say that I like the fact that the packaging is different not only in shape but the feel. For someone who has problems with their vision this is a major plus point for me as I know which mascara I have without looking, I don’t need to wear my glasses to try and find it. The brush is slightly larger than the standard mascara brush though the tip of the brush is just the right size to be able apply to apply mascara to the outer and inner lashes perfectly. The formula seems thicker than the Infinite Lash mascara. You can still apply more than one coat of the mascara without it clumping. The formula is long lasting and doesn’t drop. I like a mascara that I can layer with others without clumping or drop off and this can be, as can be seen in the bottom photograph, I have applied Mega Volume then Infinite Lash – I haven’t tried it the other way yet.. My only request is that it is a darker brown than it is. -

This was kindly gifted to me by Lola. It is the first liquid that I have tried. The doe foot applicator applies the right amount to the lips, giving both coverage and colour to the lips. The shape of the doe foot applicator also helps to line the lips before filling in and creates the perfect cupid’s bow. The liquid lipstick is not too runny or too thick, it is the right consistency to stay where it is applied. One coat gives enough coverage and doesn’t streak. Within a few seconds the lipstick is dry to a matte finish which is perfect for everyday wear, even if you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt. The lipstick doesn’t transfer to cups and glasses so there is no need to reapply throughout the day. My lips weren’t dried out by the formula they were nourished and hydrated, some matte bullet lipsticks have made my lips peel. This didn’t. It is easily removed using my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish with the muslin cloth. I didn't need to rub too hard to remove it. -

I was extremely luck to be sent this by Lola. The first thing that stood out to me is the brush, it is slightly tapered and very flexible. The bristles are evenly spaced out with some a little longer. The short bristles make it easy to apply the mascara to the root which gives the look of tight lining. The longer bristles help curl the lashes and separate them. The shorter bristles at the tip of the brush help coat the lashes at the corners. It is buildable without clumping and there no bits under the eyes after a day’s wear. I like the fact that I can apply one coat and if I want to enhance my lashes more then I can apply a second coat without my lashes clumping together even if it is a few hours later. Not only do my lashes look fluttery and false they also reach my eyebrows when my eyes are open and stay curled all day. Both my IT Cosmetics Cleansing Balm and Miracle Water easily remove the mascara without rubbing and no residue left behind. Due to my dry eye I have to put drops in my eyes and use a heat pad on my eyes other mascaras have run and clumped together – this didn’t. I think I will treat myself to their Mega Volume in Brown for my birthday. -

When I first saw this lip pencil, kindly gifted to me by Lola, I thought its colour was sandy rather than nude. The brush on the other end of the pencil is brilliant for correcting mistakes or smudging/blending it. The formulation is soft and glides onto my dry lips and doesn’t make them drier it actually nourishes them. It feels like velvet on my lips, as the photos below show I have lines around my mouth, this lip pencil didn’t bleed into them nor did it come off when I kissed my two boys – they hate it when I leave my lipstick/pencil on them. It lasted all day and was easily removed using my IT Cosmetic Cleansing Balm. Some lip pencils I have used in the past have stained my lips this didn’t. I have worn it on its own or under Benefit They’re Real Double the Lip Bare Affair to help define and make the lipstick have a little more staying power. It creates the perfect natural looking lip for everyday wear and for those occasions when you need to feel more polished. -

On warmer days I have don’t like to wear foundation and this seems the perfect answer. The BB cream is a little thicker than I expected, and the shade is a little dark for me. I first applied it using my fingers and though it was easy to blend into my skin but left it looking as if I had a suntan. The next time I applied it I used a Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it blended better into my skin without it looking as if I had a suntan. Both ways of applying it, it did not sit in my fine lines that I have around my eyes and mouth. It covered the darkness under my eyes and on my lids. It is great to wear if you want a less structed look and are sightseeing or out walking at lunchtime as the SPF of 20 is enough. It lasted all day and was not patchy. The BB cream was easily removed using my IT Cosmetics Balm or Micellar Water. It is a great product if you want to look as if you have a tan as it has skincare benefits that some fake tans don’t have. -
