Walking out of Sephora I walked passed Laura Mercier and saw these tinted lippies. I didn't have any lipstick on so figured I can put some on and walk out the door. So I did. Except I didn't walk out the door. I went to a mirror and saw how absolutely love the mocha shade looked on me! Normally lip tints / stains are too drying on my already dry lips, but for some reason this one wasn't. The shade looked like my natural lip colour, just enhanced. It wasn't vibrant or colourful, or statement-ish. Rather it looked very natural and soft, my lips looked natural, except it complemented my skin tone and enhanced my lip shape.
The price was reasonable and I'm always on the lookout for a natural looking lip colour that lasts. I think I've found my latest favourite in this product. I would def' recommend this to girls looking to enhance what they naturally have.

If you're looking for a true product-free, long lasting, glow from within blush, this is the one for you. I just discovered it and I love love love it! It really has no cons, just a few things that you have to get used to. Such as the amount you use. You need to use a microscopic amount for both cheeks, this blush is super duper pigmented and blends fast and easy. You need the teeniest needle drop on each cheek, and blend it out fast to get an even, glowy look. I like to apply it with my fingers as I find using a brush unnecessarily wastes product. This stuff is expensive, especially when you see how little they give you. But the colour is so extremely concentrated, it's not to be believed. This cream / mousse blush is especially good for the drying winter months. With my already dry skin, this blush gives me the perfect amount of colour and glow, without drying me out of making my skin look chalky or flaky.
The concept of this blush is great: the little product is very pigmented so if used properly it'll last you forever, so the price you're paying for it is more than worth it. However, as this level of pigmentation is not something most of us are used to dealing with, I can see a lot of product wastage during the learning curve. I think I'd rather if they gave a bigger bottle of product that was slightly less pigmented. So the product and money equation would remain the same, but my eyes, hands and heart would feel that it got more bang for the bucks by looking at the bigger sized (albeit, lesser pigmented) product.
I highly recommend this to everyone, especially for the holiday season. For dry skins like me, I can see this being a staple year round.

I went to sephora, bought some stuff that i *needed* and as I was heading out passed the Bobbi Brown section where they had two rows of plain looking foundation bottles. For the fun of it I colour matched myself to one (Honey) and put it on. And did a double take. I promptly took of all my makeup and applied the foundation to a fresh face to see if works just as well, and it did! I don't understand how this foundation manages to give such a flawless, yet natural no-makeup-applied look!!
Let me start from the beginning: The consistency of the foundation is very runny, which is a bit weird for a foundation, but hey, it works, so whatever. It being runny makes it very easy to apply. I just applied it with my fingers. Runny, liquidy foundation would make you think it has less coverage, right? Totally not the case here! It somehow covers all my flaws and gives my skin the 'glow from within' sort of finish. I actually applied my absolute favourite MUFE HD Foundation on one half of my face, and BB Skin on the other half, and walked around the store asking random people (employees and customers) to pick a side of my face. I didn't tell them which is which so as to get a less biased opinion. Although my love - the mufe hd - got many votes, BB Skin got a ton of votes and actually outranked my mufe!! I asked my husband and he also picked the BB Skin, saying I look more glowing on that side of my face. He didn't even let me finish my sentence before pointing and picking the side of my face (I guess he's used to me doing this "which half do you like" test). I was like "which do you..." he interrupts "that side, you look more glowing and healthier on that side". Lol :-) You know how we all have a "good side" and a "bad side" on our face? I know MUFE works wonders, so I put it on my good side and put the BB Skin on my "bad side" - and it still got a ton of votes! That's how good it was!! Crazy....
I can't live without my MUFE HD, I think I've developed a sort of loyalty and attachment to it, but I couldn't walk out of the store without the super voted super liked BB Skin. So I got it to add to my collection.
I know you can get a tester, and I did, but let me tell you ladies, testers never work the same as when you use it out of the bottle. Notice how on the bottles it says to shake before use? You can't exactly shake the tester the same way, right? So the consistency and coverage of the foundation when used from the tester is different than when used from the bottle.
The SPF doesn't hurt either. There's a wide range of colour, although doesn't compare to the MUFE, but I think the consistency of the foundation allows it to sort of "skin match" to similar shades. All in all, I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who's looking for a flawless makeup-less totally-natural foundation.
Here's a funny little side note: I went to Sephora twice to try the foundation (to make sure it really was as good as I thought it was), and ended up buying it on the second day. The first day on my way home as I was waiting for the bus, a dude in a car pulled over and tried to flirt with me / pick me up. It was super cold so I was wearing jeans, boots, comfy big sweater and coat. Not the sexiest of gears. Second day I wore it, another guy came up to me in the subway and started flirting with me. I'm amazed. This doesn't happen to me often, or, you know, at all. This stuff is like the "axe" of foundations! A total guy magnet.. lol :-)

Oh this work of art, where do I start? First of all, I've been looking for a natural, everyday, but vibrant, and not "plain jane" eyeliner for a while now (is that too much to ask for?). I'm brown and have dark brown eyes. The typical colour choice for me would be black, but I find black make my already large eyes look larger and too dramatic for everyday wear. I wanted something that looks mysterious and sexy, but softer, and not quite as stark as black. I wanted a brown, but a regular plain jane average run of the mill brown is such a waste of money on me. I mean, not like brown on brown stands out at all, right (me being brown and eyeliner being brown, etc)?
I headed over to Sephora to check out MUFE aqua eyeliner in brown. They had the tester but (fortunately for me!) ran out of the for sale liner. The very helpful makeup artist suggested I try Nars Via Appia, and .... it's a work of art. The description in the Nars website says "copper brown" - and that's basically it. It's brown, with hues of copper, purple, gold woven into it. I absolutely love it and I'm sorely tempted to buy a dozen and stock up on them in case Nars decides to discontinue it. The quality, consistency, wear, and colour of this eyeliner makes me believe that someone stepped out of my thoughts and designed it just for me. I absolutely adore this eyeliner and have already had one other friend buy it after she saw it on me.
The copper and hues of purple and gold make my plain brown eyes sparkle and look more romantic. The brown allows this to look natural and everyday. This is precisely what I've been looking for compacted into a 12hr long wear eyeliner. And they *mean* 12hr. On top of being an absolute lovely shade, this eyeliner goes on smooth and doesn't budge. It doesn't bleed, doesn't smudge doesn't flake, but it comes off easily enough with eye makeup remover.
I am *in love* with this eyeliner and highly recommend this to one and all. The price is very steep (25 plus tax per liner) but in my humble opinion, it's simply just worth it. They've made something amazing and put a steep price tag on it. What can ya do, right? I would definitely buy this over and over and over again...

I received a complimentary nail polish from Nars. Unfortunately I'm forgetting the colour name right now - but it's a beige pink colour. I find it really well pigmented (saturated?) and goes on very slick. It has good staying power and an awesome glossy finish. I like to top it with my favourite Sally Hansen Diamond top coat for extra shine and staying power. I absolutely love this colour for the days I'm feeling more tame than my usual self. Sweet, sexy and polished. Would def' recommend this to my friends. -

This shampoo and cond combo is my go to when my hair looks and feels super dry. Both the shampoo and conditioner is so moisturizing, it leaves my hair soft, moisturized and manageable. I would expect this much moisture to weigh down my hair and make it look greasy, but it doesn't! I remember the first time I tried this I was truly surprised. I sort of associate Dove with soaps, I didn't realize their shampoo and conditioners can be that good!! I wouldn't use this on days when my hair needs more "cleaning" and less "moisturizing", on those days this combo would be a bit too much. But on the dry damaged days when I need the replenishing moisture, this is one of the combos I would turn to.

You use this on the days you don't want to shampoo your hair but don't want to look greasy either. The product is a mousse, and I rub it into the roots of my hair to suck up the excess oils. After rubbing it in I really need to take a towel and rub dry my hair, otherwise I'm left with white flakes from the mousse. I have the pink one (forget what it's called) and I find it smells a bit too sweet. I also find the white flakes weird but, other than that, it does a great job of adding volume on my flat greasy hair days. This is one of those staple products that needs to be in every girls cabinet. A total life saver on greasy-hair-running-late-for-work days. -

This company is one of the few I would trust with my hair. I find the shampoo to clean my hair without stripping it dry or making it feel like straw. It really leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean. The conditioner does an excellent job of moisturizing my hair. Now this conditioner isn't one I would use if I want a deep condition. Pantene has other, better deep conditioners, but this conditioner is excellent for everyday use. It gives it just the right amount of moisture, without weighing my hair down and making it feel like I have excess products in it. This is a great everyday shampoo/cond combo. -

You know those mornings when you're running late for work, don't have time for a shower or a good hair wash, but don't want to go to work with greasy hair? Well this baby is what you need on those days! It smells very fresh and shampoo-ey and the fresh scent stays on your hair after you put it in. What I do is flip my hair over and rub the mousse into the roots of my hair. Then I take a towel and dry it. This mousse really does make your hair wet and it smells and feels cleaner than before you put it on. Once it dries, your hair looks freshly shampoo'ed.
None of us want to admit to it, but we all have those one off mornings when we just can't freshen up our hair before leaving the house. This little bottle is just a life saver in those situations. I would def' recommend this to all the ladies with long oil prone locks.

As a whole, Herbal Essence is an excellent company and I'd readily try their products. This was no exception. I initially bought it' cuz it smelled amazing. When I took it home and tried it, it did not disappoint. The shampoo is thick and creamy, smells fresh and not at all cloying. It felt like it really cleaned my hair without stripping it dry. I often would just shampoo and not condition 'cuz I didn't need the extra conditioning. The conditioner is just as nice smelling and does a great job at smoothing and moisturizing the hair. I really felt this combo lives up to their "hydralicious" name and really rehydrates my hair. Not only does my hair smell great, but it feels amazing. I would expect my hair to feel a bit weighed down after such a deep condition, but it doesn't at all! Feels like a deep condition, without the added weight. I would, and do recommend this to my friends. -
