I feel just a bit bad for giving this shampoo & cond' combo such a bad review, but I can't in good conscience give it anything more. I first bought it 'cuz it was on sale and I figured that I've heard of this company, they sell it everywhere, so it can't be that bad! My hair's not really too picky so I thought it'd work fine for me. How wrong I was... Even while massaging the shampoo into my hair, my hair didn't feel soft at all. It actually felt really rough and straw-like. Normally in the shower conditioners make my hair feel super silky and soft, this one didn't. It just felt like a thicker version of the shampoo. The smell was unpleasant (smelled a bit like cleaning products). I could have stood all of this if after coming out of the shower I didn't rough straw hair coming out in clumps!! Really, clumps! I could feel my heart thump heavily and thinking oh God i'm going bald in my 20s! Anyways after the melodrama I figured perhaps something in my diet made me react like that, perhaps I was just having an off day, etc. and decided to give it another try. To no avail. Same results. I didn't mention anything to my hubby, hoping it suits him at least cuz otherwise I have 2 huge bottles of unusable product. He actually complained to me that it made his hair feel really rough. I had my mom try it and she said the same thing. So really this review is from me (thick wavy hair), my husband (short curly hair) and my mom (fine wavy hair) and we all hate the product. It's really unfortunate because this is one of the cheapest shampoo / cond' on the shelves. But maybe there's a reason for that...
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. You only have one head of healthy hair. Better to spend the few extra bucks and get a product that won't strip you of your hair way before your time.

It gives your face a soft finished look, erases imperfections, doesn't change the colour of your foundation, etc. Just everything good you can or can't expect in an HD powder is in this one. I bought a stack of 'em even though I'm only on my first. Oh yea did I mention a little goes a long way? Highly recommend this product to everyone. -

On a side note, the sponge is not the greatest way to apply this. Rather, use the MAC foundation brush. It'll go on better.

By far the best drugstore primer. Ever. I found this to be even better than MUFE primer, and a good competitor for the famous Smashbox primers. I initially tried this on my mom, and found it to dramatically improve the appearance of her skin. Then I thought, what the heck, I should try it. And I did. And I was not disappointed! Amazing product. I'm still pinching myself, can't believe it came off the drugstore shelf. Highly recommend this to everyone. -

This mousse makes my skin look dehydrated and flaky. Admittedly I have dry skin, and this product does whatever it can to enhance it. I've tried pretty much every drugstore brand foundation there is (wasting a lot of $$ in the process) to finally come to this conclusion: Go to sephora and buy something that you'll actually use, that will suit your skin tone and type perfectly, and if it doesn't you can take it back without a fuss. In the long run I find shelling out avg $50 for a foundation proves to be less expensive then trying several avg $15 drugstore brand foundations. -

The brush is too stiff, the product is very dry and being a lose powder, will naturally fall onto your clothes and stain white shirts. All in all I don't recommend this product at all. I notice nowadays "average" price of a drugstore foundation is about $15. Well, add a few more $$ to it and you can get an awesome foundation that you can wear for months on end from Sephora. I would recommend saving your money and investing in a good product, rather than spending several $11 dollars on so-so products. -

Torrid is the "orgasm" for darker skin. It's a peachy colour, not too bright or too dull. Gives a natural flush, and is very buildable. This is my everyday blush. Some blushes (cough....mac..cough...cargo) have great colour and pigmentation, but can give you the freshly-smacked look if you use a slightly heavy hand. Not so with Nars Torrid. I can do a very sheer bit of colour or build it up to look apple cheeked girly. Definitely recommend this to my friends. -

Herbal Essence is one of my favourite hair care brands of all times, especially the "Hello Hydration" shampoo/conditioner.
Let me backup a bit: I never realized the difference between an OK shampoo/conditioner and a GOOD shampoo/conditioner until recently. I usually use Herbal Essense or Pantene. These two are my staples. So I went to Walmart and saw Treseme was on sale. 900ml for $5! wow right? Wrong. That shampoo makes my hair fall out a lot!! I first thought it was a coincidence, but nope. It's the shampoo.
So I'm going back to my trusted HE (or pantene.. same parent company). It cost a bit more than the cheaper alternatives, but it is SO WORTH IT!!

I got this from chickadvisor and I'm so glad I did!! I tended to stick to the higher priced stuff like Moroccan oil and BioSilk. Both of which work, but the $$ is pretty high and might feel a bit iffy to use everyday. I tried this product and it works great! It does pretty much the same thing as Biosilk at a fraction of the price. It does a pretty good job of controlling my frizz and smoothing my hair. I usually use a very teeny amount and use most of that teeny amount on the ends of my hair and only use the leftover on my hands on the crown of my head. Doesn't weight down my hair, but does the job of cutting down the frizz. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to fight frizz at a lower cost. -
