I purchased the Ocean Salt Facial and Body Scrub almost on a whim. I read rave reviews, and I have seen the benefits of ocean salt on the skin first hand. As expected, this scrub is worth its weight in gold-- er, salt. I used it as a body scrub, and my skin instantly became smooth. Moreover, it stayed that way for the next couple of days.
I also used it as a scrub on my dry feet and elbows to eliminate dry or hard skin. On the face, one has to be careful not to overdo it. This scrub is a bit more harsh than the typical drugstore exfoliator. People with sensitive skin should scrub gently, and not use it more than once a week. Also, a slight warning: this scrub may purge acne to the surface. The first few times I used the scrub, I got pimples the next day. Fortunately, they were small, the kind that disappears within a day or two. I figured that the scrub takes off the layers of the skin and pushes out pimples that were in the process of formation. That is why they were smaller than usual. This is just something one should consider when purchasing this product. After using the scrub regularly, the acne stopped, and my face has continued to remain smooth and free of blemishes.

I purchased a 2 oz. bottle after spotting it on the shelf and becoming intrigued by the name: Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter. It sounds delicious and smells so, too, with a scent of warm vanilla and a hint of coconut. The texture is a creamy paste that looks slightly orange in the bottle, but rubs on tan. You have to smear it evenly to avoid any streaks, but I cannot say this product gave me any trouble with that.
The colour is delicate and not dark. It would work best on pale skin, for a hint of colour, and on slightly tanned skin in order to play up the shimmer. It has glitter that sparkles on the body. I found that when I applied it on my legs, it gave them a soft glow. When I am wearing a strapless dress, I put a little on my shoulders and collar bones to add that extra oomph. It's really great to wear out on warm summer nights.

When I was making my mother a beauty gift basket for her birthday, I spotted a can of Coconut Deodorant Powder at the Lush store. I love the scent of coconut, and I purchased a can for my mom. Happily, my mother loved it; she says it kept her smelling fresh and clean. When I finally purchased my own can several months later, I had to concur that it is a useful product at hand.
Coconut Deodorant Powder is designed to eliminate odour from the body. I stress that it is not an anti-antiperspirant, and will not stop one from sweating. I see that some reviewers have complained about this aspect, but the can is clearly labeled as to its function. It does soak up a little wetness, but it will not keep one entirely dry.
I usually sprinkle a little powder under my arms. If I am wearing socks, I put a little powder in each sock to keep my feet smelling sweet. It also acts as a dry shampoo, for those days when you are running late, and need to clean the roots of your hair (this only works for blondes though, as brunettes will have a harder time with the white colour).
For application, I recommend buying a powder puff or a kabuki brush if one is applying the powder to the body. I use a small puff and just press onto wherever I desire. Applying by hand may get messy.

I received this product free to test as part of ChickAdvisor’s Product Review Club. I have used the Dove Beauty Cream bar several times now, with good results. It definitely cleanses the skin, and unlike my regular shower gel, it does not leave a layer of film on my skin, which requires a thorough scrub. I have not noticed any particular increase in moisture, but since it has not dried out my skin, I cannot complain. That said, I do not care for the scent. I would prefer a bit less perfume in the bar, as the scent was strong enough to waft through the plastic and cardboard packaging. -

I purchased the gel eyeliner in Blackest Black after I bought the liner in Charcoal. The liner pigmented and gives a great colour. Moreover, I like that it does not smudge off, or fade from the lids. It has excellent staying power.
I use Blackest Black for an evening look, and Charcoal in the daytime. One difference I noticed is that Charcoal is more creamy in texture, while Blackest Black tends to be dry. The formula for Blackest Black quickly dried out in its jar, and cracked. I had to revive it back to life by soaking the jar in a bowl of hot water. Also, the Blackest Black gel is a bit more difficult to take off with make-up remover. It is not uncommon for me to be rubbing off flecks of liner from the base of my eyelashes a day after wearing this liner.

In the summertime, when I walk around barefoot more frequently, cracked heels seem to come with the territory. Enter the Ped Egg. It is quick to use and easy. A minute or two on each foot is all it takes. I have never experienced any type of pain, cracking, or bleeding after using this product.
It must be noted that while the egg does smooth away rough skin, it does not soften it. I notice that after I have used the Peg Egg, my heels feel very smooth, but the skin does remain hard. However, for the few dollars spent, one cannot expect miracles. See about acquiring one at the local dollar store.

Enter the Spa Organics Massage Cream Mandarin & Mango. Saturated with Argan Oil from Morocco, this body cream is designed not only to smooth dry skin, but heal and regenerate. I use this all over my body, as the lotion is non-greasy, fast drying, and lightweight. The scent is of mandarins and mango, but it is not sharply acidic or overwhelming. I have especially noticed a nice improvement on my elbows; they have become softer to the touch.

If you like St. Ives Apricot Scrub, then Inecto Pure Coconut Exfoliating Facial Scrub may be the product for you. Its micro beads are made from coconut shells to slough off flaking skin and dead skin cells. The cream has a gentle coconut fragrance, and is infused with pure coconut milk and oil to smooth and soften the skin.
Unlike with the St. Ives scrub, the Pure Coconut scrub has beads that feel a bit softer on the skin because they are less rough. I also noticed that after I dried my face, I did not need to put on moisturizer, because my face did not feel dry and “tighten” the way it usually does after exfoliation. For 100ml, the tube has a decent amount of product, and I find that a little bit goes a long way to cleanse the face and neck.

I received a free sample from Febreze and ChickAdvisor as part of their product review panel. Car fresheners are a vital component of my car, because sometimes I take my massive St. Bernard mix dog to the park in my vehicle. Febreze CAR Vent Clips Freshener keeps the interior smelling fresh and gives an impression of cleanliness. Installation was a breeze. The clip is small and portable, and I like that one can adjust the strength of the scent using a small dial.
My only criticism is the scent. Personally, it is not to my preference, as it reminds me too much of freshly washed laundry, which might be acceptable if one is in a room, but not so much in a car. I suppose that is where the “linen” part of the name comes into play. I wouldn’t mind some citric scent, for example. However, that is a minor aspect in the grand picture. I would probably purchase a clip if needed.

Bourjois Volumizer Mascara is designed to give the wearer extreme volume. It has two brushes that promise clump-free volume and lush lashes. The first brush is designed to give twice the volume. The second brush gives more product and provides 3D volume. Using two the first and second brush, the wearer is suppose to have up to eleven times the volume.
I have to admit that using this mascara gave me great dimension. I use the first brush for when I want some colour to my eyelashes, because I do not feel that it offers very much in terms of volume. Nonetheless, I do use it to act as almost as a primer for when I add a second coat with the second brush. The second brush is fabulous for making them look thick.
One thing I found with the mascara is that its formula is one that I have yet to come across with any other mascara. It is thick, not wet, but tacky. It stretches out as it comes out of the tube, almost like black glue. I have not seen this mentioned by other reviewers, which makes me wonder whether the formula went bad, or whether I am simply green when it comes to the differing compositions of mascaras.
At any rate, the structure of the formula is great for giving my eyelashes a boost, because it lifts them up and makes them stay up. The result is looking like you are wearing false eyelashes because of their unnaturally high lift. Overall, this is one product I will be returning to in the future.
