The best thing about this product is the vibrancy of the lip mousse. It feels weird the first time you try it, because it goes on creamy and then eventually dries to a matte finish, but the matte finish is quite lovely. The thing I don't like about it though is the brush. It's a really weird shape that is almost a ball at the end. It's easy to get it to the line of your lip though, weird is good since the colours are so pigmented it would be noticeable if it didn't reach your true lip line. The other thing is if you have really dry lips, this product probably isn't for you. You really need to make sure your lips are moisturized first, otherwise the matte finish really shows off how dry your lips are. The product itself at $20 USD is a bit expensive, but if you get it as part of your monthly Maven box, or use a coupon code, it cuts the price down and it can be very reasonable. Even for the price it is, it's a really good product that is well worth the extra few dollars compared to a cheap lip product that doesn't last. -

This is the perfect soup to transform into sauces or to use in casseroles. On it's own, it's kind of a boring soup that I wouldn't necessarily eat plain as a soup. But once you add some seasonings or toss it in with a casserole, this soup is a perfect go-to! We always have it on hand in our kitchen because you never know when you're gonna need it. -

This is the best comfort food out there, especially because it's not packed with thousands of calories. A guilt-free comfort food is just what you need sometimes! But Campbell's is the only way to go when it comes to tomato soup. I recently tried an off-brand tomato soup and there was just something not quite right about it. You really can't beat the great taste of Campbell's tomato soup! -

This book is a very light, easy read. The best way I could describe it is a poor woman's Outlander. In the book, the main character travels back in time during epileptic fits to Scotland in the Dark Ages. It's a romance, a little bit of a mystery, with some time travel which is always fun. Outlander is much better in the character development, plot, detail, length....well, almost everything. But this is good as a nice, light little book that is easy to get through, and it is much faster to get through than Outlander. So if you're a fan of that book/show, you might actually really like this as a not-serious read. I doubt it's going to win any major prizes, but the author is working on a sequel and I'll probably be interested enough to read it. -

I got a free sample pack of these. I don't think I ever would have bought these for myself, but now that I've tried them I've found that I really like them. They take heavy eye makeup off in seconds and the sheet is big enough to get everything from the rest of my face off, too. The thing I don't like about them is that the smell isn't the greatest, and it leaves my face feeling more damp than other makeup removers. As well, I don't like the waste aspect of them. I would prefer a bottle of the liquid that they use in the towelettes. But all in all they are very effective. -

Recently I have tried several base coats and have been disappointed, so my hopes were not high when I ordered one from Julep (despite loving their regular nailpolishes, I was being pessimistic). This base coat is amazing! It dries extremely fast and holds the colour well on your nails. But the thing I like best about this is that it protects my nails from staining, so whenever I take off the colour my nails aren't that gross yellow colour. While this is slightly more expensive than your typical drugstore base coat, if you pick it as part of your monthly maven subscription it's a decent price. If you buy it outside of the box but are a maven member, it's $14.40, or if you're not a member it's $18. I got it in my subscription box, so it equaled out to about $6.60, which I think is great for the quality of the product. I love it! -

I love PC ice cream because it tastes like real, quality ice cream. When my husband brought this home recently, I was so excited to try it. After the first bite I was surprised at how perfectly they captured the pumpkin pie taste. It tasted almost exactly like pumpkin pie. The little bites of graham crackers were quite nice, the only thing that was a little off putting was that if a few of those pieces line up, it kind of looks a little unsettling. But this was delicious, creamy, and true to the taste they claimed to make. A++ -

I got this as a free sample, along with the shampoo and conditioner of the line. I liked the shampoo and conditioner, so I thought I would like the blow out treatment. I've spent a long time trying to erase the damage that my hair has gone through in the past several years, and I'm incredibly annoyed at how with one use of this product, it has completely damaged my hair all over again. I don't know how it damaged my hair so badly, but my hair feels like straw now. The product itself was very thick, sticky, and my brush could barely get through my hair, which is thin and generally really easy to brush. It took longer for my hair to blow dry, it gave it a weird, hard texture, and my hair looked dull. This product is such a disappoint and I would never pay money for it. -

I was so mad that I bought this! I thought to myself, hey, Sally Hansen has been around forever, I think I used it like ten years ago and it was okay, and it's on sale. Why not? I bought the clear one to use as a nice top coat to add a nice shine over all colours and a sealant over glitter coats. It chipped the same night I used it. I used it over other nail colour that I've used before and never had a problem with chipping. I didn't even do anything that would make sense for my nails to chip. I am so frustrated. I have officially given up on drugstore nail polish and am officially sticking with Julep. At least I can trust the quality on that, rather than wasting my money on this crap. -

I've bee having a hard time finding a good drugstore mascara. Usually I buy mascara from an online company, but then I have to wait for shipping, and with the Canadian dollar being so low, buying from an American company isn't the most cost-efficient for me. I've been somewhat disappointed in drugstore mascara, so the bar was not set very high when I walked in and looked through what the store had to offer. I was intrigued by everything that had a "sale" sticker on it, because I always look for a bargain. I decided to narrow down a few choices from Maybelline, and ended up picking this one. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was it a good price at $7.99 on sale, but the packaging was appealing to the eye, the wand was the nice type I like (not the weird clumpy brushes), and it claimed to be "pearl". I still have no idea what the "pearl" part is, but I can say that I am quite happy with the result. This mascara works even with just one coat, but two look great! My lashes look long and thick, without clumping or looking like spider legs. It goes on really smoothly and it's super easy to remove with some good eye make up remover. Overall, I have no real bad things to say about this product, other than I have no clue what's "pearl" about it other than the packaging. -
