I am a huge fan of Julep products as it is, but this is the first time I've ever used a highlighting powder. Usually I just use a light eyeshadow when I do basic contouring (and don't want to have really heavy makeup), but I thought it was time to step up my game and get some actual highlighting powder. I was a little bit disappointed in the shade that I got; it looked a lot lighter online. However, when I used it it ended up looking as light as online, and it just looked darker in the pallet. I really liked this product and though it was a nice replacement for using eyeshadow not on my eyes, haha.
The one thing that would improve this product would be if they used slightly less reflective bits (I'm hesitant to say "sparkles" because that gives them impression of glitter, but it's not like that. More of a shimmer, I guess) just because I prefer a more matte look. However, I do really like this!
Like all of their other products, the best deal is to get this as part of your Maven box subscription. For non-Mavens it's listed as $28, for Mavens you get it for $22.40, but a Maven box is $25 (or $20 if you prepay for three months), and you still get other products in your box, so ultimately picking it for a month of your box is the best deal.

I have tried countless eyeliners and this has to be my favourite. It is incredibly easy to control your strokes without getting messy with the line. I find with a lot of liquid liner that needs to be dipped into the product, it's easy to accidentally get too much on the wand and mess up. This is great because it's in pen form, but unlike other eyeliner pens, this one last a heck of a lot longer. I think the most comparable product would be the Joe Fresh eyeliner pen, however that one almost looks too marker-like, whereas this Julep product leaves the appearance of a non-pen liner. It's great if you're addicted to winged liner! It's the best value to pick it in your monthly subscription box, but Maven members get it at a discounted price than non-Maven members if you order it separately. -

It doesn't feel too heavy like some gloss, and while there is going to be some degree of stickiness to all gloss, this one is very minimal. They make a lot of really pretty colours for the gloss and they smell wonderful. -

I was somewhat skeptical at first when I picked this mascara in my monthly subscription box, because they picture they show online of the before and after wasn't the greatest. They had it super close up so you could see microscopic flakes. I needed a new mascara though, so I picked this one anyways, and I was not disappointed! There is no flaking when I put on a couple of coats of this stuff, no clumping either. You don't get the "spider lashes" that some lengthening mascaras give you. I have naturally somewhat long lashes, so this stuff makes it often look like I have natural-ish looking false lashes on. It's also quite long lasting, but easy to remove with a bit of eye-makeup remover. I adore this stuff! -

I just got my first blush from Julep, in this shade, and I love it! The way the powder feels on your face is quite nice-- though that may be weird to say-- because it feels very soft and smooth. The appearance is quite nice; you don't end up with bright red clown cheeks. It's a wonderful colour for summer and it blends very nicely with my foundation and other makeup. -

I adore this subscription box! I cancelled my ipsy box in favour of this one. The products are all very high quality, made with trustworthy ingredients, and they are products that I feel good about putting on my skin and nails. There is a remarkable difference between the quality of their makeup and the crap you can find at the drugstore, and while it is a tiny bit more expensive than drugstore stuff, the quality is completely worth it and you get it delivered to your door without shipping costs. The subscription box is the best way to go on the Julep site, since you pay less for the products than you would buying them individually with them. And while they assign you a box each month, you have a small window where you can change your products if you want, so it's freely customizable. And they give you a little sweet treat every month, too! -

I've used this product over the course of several weeks, and I've never noticed a difference. I'm disappointed with this product as I frequently style my hair with heat and wanted something that would offer better protection to avoid damage. This product has an off-putting smell, a strange stickiness that makes touching your hair unpleasant, and I honestly can't say that this has protected my hair in any way. It still looks and feels the same. I feel like I wasted my money. -
