This yarn frustrates me to no end!! I can't figure out how to properly knit with this yarn, though this isn't really technically a traditional "yarn' so to speak. I've seen a lot of finished projects made by other people that look really neat and really well done, but I just can't wrap my head around it. -
My bottom teeth are messed up from braces from many years ago (the irony), so a lot of floss snaps before I can get it to actually go between my teeth. This stuff is great because it's more smooth and it's easier to get between my teeth.

This name is very deceptive, because this yarn is far from "fun". It's actually incredibly annoying to knit with and it makes your project look very tacky. It's not something I'd ever recommend, especially when you're paying more for a fashion yarn... +

Out of all the varities of yarn Lion Brand makes, I have to say I dislike the Homespun line the most! There's something extremely annoying about it. While the colours are nice enough, the texture and quality of the yarn is just not there. The tips of the needles often catch on the yarn because it's kind of spare, which can get rather frustrating. Not a good fashion yarn, so they're called. -

Vanna's Choice (yes, from Wheel of Fortune!) yarn is alright. There's nothing particularly special about it. It's soft enough but not the highest quality. There are some nice colours, but nothing that's really different from other brands. The only thing that really is different is that it costs a little bit extra for the name. -

Caron's yarn is super soft and delicate, and although it is not labeled as a baby yarn, it works just as well for one. While it's not heavy enough to make a baby blanket, it's soft enough to make beautiful infant clothing. The Simply Soft line carries beautiful colours, too! My only regret is that this is a thin yarn so it takes longer to knit, and I am a bit impatient haha. -

Bernat Super Value is just what the title suggests. While the quality of the yarn is not as high as other products the Bernat line offers, it's great for new knitters who don't want to spend a lot of money on practice projects. It's also great for blanket afghans or scarfs to donate. -

While this yarn is extremely soft, like the name suggests, it's also very thin. It's good for delicate projects like infant clothing, but I find I never have enough patience to knit with this stuff because the projects take longer. It's a good quality yarn though and it's gentle enough for babies to wear. -

Bernat's Pipsqueak yarn is very similar to their Baby Blanket yarn. There are a few notable differences, but I think the biggest one is that the Baby Blanket yarn is nicer to knit up. If you can't find the BB one, or you happen to like the colours better for Pipsqueak, it's still a solid choice. -
