I'm currently using a bottle of this at home. I think it works well in hydrating the skin after showering, and for everyday use. I do agree that it is light-weight and non-greasy and absorbs into the skin quickly. But, do I think that it is an intensive care dry skin repair miracle worker? I think the greatest way to test this claim is to see if it effectively moisturizes the driest part on your body - in my opinion, the heels of your feet. They are put through so much and for me, are generally very dry throughout the year. I like to use Glysomed to moisturize them, especially during the winter. I've tested Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin Repair Lotion on my feet, and they are quick absorbing, but not as hydrating as I'd like. Thus, I wouldn't recommend it as a "intensive care dry skin repair" lotion, but it's OK as an everyday lotion. -

Of the 3 Dove deodorants I've tried, this is my least favourite. It actually smells like fresh cucumbers, which I don't really like. I like the other two because they smell like I've sprayed a floral body mist from Bath and Body Works. Otherwise, I find that the product itself works exactly the same as the others. It's more of an everyday wear deodorant as opposed to one for playing sports, etc. I find that it doesn't hold up too well during the latter. -

As I mentioned in my Dove Go Fresh Rebalance review, I think that Dove deodorants work for the average day, just like how you use a daily moisturizer like Vaseline. It doesn't hold up against excessive sweat very well as I still notice sweat marks running around on hot summers day. However, what I do love about Dove deodorants are the scents. I find that the rebalance one is the most heavily fragranced, followed by this restore one. Whereas that one is very girly and florally, this one is still girly, but more fresh. It reminds me of a Febreeze scent. It is not invisible and I find will transfer onto dark clothing. Nonetheless, love it for everyday wear. -

I love this deodorant because it is so heavily fragranced that someone will actually think you're wearing a body mist from Bath and Body Works. It is my favourite fragrance from their whole line. You know it lasts because by the end of the day, you can still smell it. Having said that though, I still reapply after 6 hours to freshen up. However, reviewing this for its intended purposes, I don't think it holds up against sweat very effectively. It's pretty average, especially on a hot summer's day, you will definitely notice sweat marks under your arms. Just like how there are daily moisturizers like Vaseline, I think this is the equivalent. It applies easily, but transfers (not invisible) onto dark clothing. Regardless, I love it, have gone through tubes of it, and will continue to use it. -

This is not my favourite razor, but I do like a few aspects. First and foremost, I sort of enjoy the large incorporated surrounding bar. It claims to eliminate the need for shave gels, etc. I think it glides pretty smoothly with this added bar, but I don't think I get the closest shave. The bar wears down quite quickly on the bottom, which leaves me with 3 surrounding sides that don't naturally touch your skin when shaving. Seems like a waste of product to me. Am I suppose to now glide the remaining sides of the bar against my skin first before shaving? Doesn't seem convenient anymore in my opinion. Aside from this, it has a large handle to easily grip the razor. As mention, I think a man's razor would give a closer shave, so I much prefer that over this. The razor itself also isn't as flexible as some others which have the swiveling razor head. Lastly, one of the biggest factors that turn me off from this razor is the ability to rinse away the hair when shaving. Don't even attempt to use this during the fall/winter season when your hair is on the longer side as it will get stuck and become extremely difficult to rinse out from in between the blades. -

Of all Vaseline's big bottle lotions, this one is my favourite. I find that they all are more or less the same, but have different fragrances. I love the smell of this aloe vera one. It is nice and light-weight, absorbing into the skin fairly quickly. It's also non-greasy. For everyday hydration after showering, I highly recommend it, but if you're looking for something more intense, I'd try something else. Sometimes when I use lotions on my hands, my hands become sweaty, but this doesn't happen with this lotion. Great value for your money. -

What I do use this for is cleaning my makeup brushes. It is soft and gentle enough to not damage the bristles on my makeup brushes. Also, smells good. Generally, I mix this with 1/3 olive oil. I've used this technique for over a year, and find that my brushes are still in great condition - not any drier or stiffer. It also does an effective job at thoroughly removing the makeup from the brushes. I dip the brush into the mixture, swirl it in my palm/cloth, and rinse. I repeat this process 2-3 times depending on how dirty the brush is. I highly recommend it as an affordable brush cleanser.

On average, OPI is competitively priced with Essie, but I do like Essie more because of their colour selection. OPI also has a large range of colours, but many more unique or out-of-the-ordinary colours. They collaborate with many other brands/companies to release a collection with them (ie: Shrek, Hello Kitty, etc.). I don't particularly care for them because they are not colours I would generally wear. Formula is OK (hit or miss with certain colours, sometimes streaky, sometimes requires multiple coats), I like the brush more than Essie's, and you probably get more product. I always use a base coat and Seche Vite fast drying top coat, and can see my nails lasting nearly a week before noticing slight chipping. Without Seche Vite, my nails probably last 3-4 days before chipping. Overall, I'm pretty indifferent about OPI. It use to be a pretty great quality nail polish, but now many other lower end brands are coming out with equally as good formulas (ie: certain Sally Hansen, Revlon, L'Oreal). I don't think it's out of this world amazing, but it's also not bad either. I would buy it if I was looking for a specific colour or if it was on sale, otherwise, probably not. -

What I love most about Essie nail polishes are their colour selection. They have probably released hundreds of variations of pink from the time they first launched as a company. My favourite type of colours to wear are pastels and neutrals, which is why Essie is one of my favourite brands. The only problem is that their nail polishes can be a hit or miss, individually. While you may love one, you might hate another, which is what I've found over the years. Some nail polishes might only require 1 coat while others might require 3, even if they're both light pink shades. Some formulas may be streakier than others. Personally, another aspect I don't quite like about their nail polishes is the brush - it is small and round, which means I need to go back and forth more often, and doesn't fan out as nicely as other brushes. Lastly, I feel like Essie nail polishes come with less product then their competitors (though, I have never completely used up a nail polish before). Overall though, I do like the brand and their products. Just try to test out colours before buying or search Google for specific colour reviews. -

I own maybe 5 colours from Revlon and love each and every single one of them (some of them even more than OPI or Essie). Why? Well, first from the colours I own, they are highly pigmented. I can get away with 1 coat, sometimes I need 2. I really like the brush, unlike Essie's, which I find a little too small and round, Revlon's brush is flatter and wider and fans out nicely. The formula self-levels out quite nicely as well. If you ever make any mistakes, Seche Vite will fix it. Lastly, it is affordable. When I catch it on sale, I can buy 2 for the price of 1 Essie nail polish. They have a wide colour selection, but I wish there were more soft, neutral colours and pastels like Essie. -
