This is a really great lipstick in terms of colour delivery. I love that once applied, I can pretty much forget about it ...whereas some other lipsticks I constantly fret over (is it on my teeth? oh no, did I just smudge that all over my cheek? I can't drink without a straw or my lips will stick to the glass!)
It has incredible colour, and doesn't smudge or wear off for an entire day/ night. Be wary when applying though - once it's on you, it's on you, so choose your colour wisely. I've slept in this stuff and woken up with bright pink lips still. It's unreal! I really love the colours I own (I have about 7), but wish they'd come out with more plums, reds, and pinks. The colour choices are mostly shades of brown and other neutrals. The only downside to this lipstick for me is that I find it a bit drying. So while the colour still looks amazing, my lips feel a little tight. I find swiping a clear hydrating gloss overtop a few times throughout the night is enough to counterbalance it. So besides the lack of moisturizing capabilities, this is a pretty great lipstick overall.

I'm actually very impressed with this product. As someone who has long somewhat damaged hair but refuses to get a trim, I've tried many hair serums. I also don't blow dry / do anything to my hair on a daily basis (shower, brush, and go) so I'm always on the lookout for products I can quickly throw into my morning routine to help my hair out a bit. I grabbed this because I have some dry, split ends, and they're beginning to get pretty noticeable. It was $4, so I say why not, right? And I'm very glad I did! This serum can be put on damp or dry hair, and it works wonders. I usually do this right after showering on my damp hair, you just run it through your ends, then brush through to even out. As my hair dries it looks like all my ends are perfectly healthy and clean-cut. It's really awesome. I know they're not "fixed" as the bottle says (I'm pretty sure it's impossible to repair a split end haha) but it gives the illusion they are, and that's all I need. I'd recommend this for anyone who (like me) has splits and refuses to get a hair cut, or who wants a good light-weight finishing serum. When applied to dry hair this stuff gives a nice smooth, polished look, and it's not greasy or heavy. -

This is a really great curling wand. I have the 1", and it gives me amazing curls every time. I have a ton of very fine, straight hair, so getting it to hold a curl is impossible. I have always battled with curling irons in the past - my hair will look amazing for about an hour, then fall completely flat. Enter: curling wands. For some reason, these things are magical. I'll curl my hair in the morning, and by night it looks pretty much the same, even without hairspray. I really like that I can get a variety of curls by using one wand as well. I can do a lot of tighter curls, or just section my hair into larger pieces for gorgeous beach waves. I love that this wand heats up super fast (it's good to go in about one minute) and it's a no-fuss wand, meaning there's only one switch - on/off. It's titanium, it's not amazing for your hair or anything, so I recommend using a heat protecting product when using it, but other than that it's pretty darn great! I also bought mine for $10 at Walmart, so it's definitely paid for itself by now. It also came with one of those heat gloves, but I threw it out...the end of the wand has a large plastic grip on it, and I've never once burned myself. -

This is my usual go-to daily moisturizer no matter what the season, because it hydrates my skin while protecting it from the sun. I find the texture of this a little off -- it's almost grainy on my skin, but absorbs really fast, and smells like sunscreen (which I love). I find it doesn't make me greasy, and it sits nicely underneath my makeup. So while this does everything a moisturizer should, it doesn't really wow me in any way. The only reason I continue to use it is because it's one of the only moisturizer's that doesn't make me break out or dry out, and it's fairly cheap considering the amount of product you get for the price. Therefore it's a winner in my eyes, but I'm definitely still on the hunt for my perfect moisturizer! -

Best concealer, hand's down! This stuff gives great coverage and really brightens. I have genetic dark circles under my eyes, and the only thing that gets rid of them is this concealer. I use the classic beige or classic natural (depending on the season), and it blends to match my skin instantly. It really does brighten and make me look more awake. I usually dap it onto my problem areas and apply with my fingertips, and if I need a bit more coverage I'll blot a bit more overtop. Then I use a pressed powder to set it. The tube design is also really easy for application, and the price point isn't too bad either. -

While I'm the type of girl who rarely wears foundation, when I do, I reach for this one. There are two reasons I don't wear foundation often: it's difficult and labour intensive to apply, and it often feels or looks unnatural. That being said, this foundation overcomes both those problems. It's so easy to apply - I just place a few tiny dots around my face then blend in with my fingertips. Afterwards I blot my whole face quickly with a sponge just to ensure it's all even. A little goes a long way with this stuff, so don't use too much or you could look streaky! The product itself is so soft and nice, and it blends very well. I find it gives medium coverage but makes my skin incredibly soft and lustrous. It's also very lightweight, and sits beautifully under other makeup. So if you're just looking for a little something extra to smooth and brighten your skin, I'd recommend this foundation. The little pot is also really cute, and makes application a breeze. -

I love Essie nail polish! Being a nail polish junkie I've tried just about every brand, and although I've got some favourite colours that aren't Essie, when it comes to overall quality and colour selection, this brand wins. It's not the cheapest nail polish, but it's worth the price. Each bottle can be from $6-$14 depending on where you get it from (I tend to shop at Walmart because it's on the cheaper side). The colours are amazing - the shades are all very wearable and trendy, and often when I get compliments on my nail colour it's an Essie polish I'm wearing. I love that the brush is the perfect size for covering the nail in just a few strokes without getting a lot on your skin. The quality of the product is great too. I find the lighter colours need a few extra coats, but they last a lot longer. This polish doesn't chip easily, and I find most of the colours (lighter ones especially) never chip, and instead they just fade away at the tips. Overall a great polish! -

I found this at Winners a few weeks back and didn't think much of it, I've never used a serum before but thought I'd give it a try (I'm only mid-twenties, but I guess it can't hurt right?) . I began using it right away in my evening routine, after washing my face I apply this first, then my moisturizer. The serum is easy to apply, it comes in a cute little jar and you apply a few drops with the dropper and rub in. When I first started using it I noticed a light stinging, but this has since gone away (I'm guessing as my skin adapts to it). It absorbs instantly and makes my skin really smooth. I've been struggling lately with uneven texture, and I find every exfoliant I use causes me to break out, which is a huge bummer. So I'm very glad to say that this is totally working to even my texture out. I also notice my skin is brighter, not as oily, and my pores are very tight. I don't have any wrinkles yet, so I can't say how effective this is in that regard, but I've gotten many compliments on how bright I look lately and I think I owe that to this little guy.
Again, I found this at Winners for $4, and after looking up the retail price ($50!) I can say this was the find of the year. I'm not too sure if I would pay that much to repurchase, since this is the first serum I've tried I may seek out a less expensive one for my next bottle, but if you've got the cash I would definitely recommend this beauty.

This is a pretty good mascara if you want something that tackles both volume and length, for a cheap price. I enjoy covergirl mascara's overall because they're inexpensive and good quality, and this one lives up to the hype. It adds good volume and length without being too heavy. It's downfalls are that it clumps a bit, and I find it heavy for my lashes. I also have hooded lids, and the brush of this is very fat with short bristles, so getting close to the lash line is an issue (it gets all over my lids). I've used a skinnier brush to apply this mascara and the results were awesome, so if you like the formula but not the wand always remember you can switch them out! -

Simply put, this is my favourite mascara. I have thin lashes that are fairly straight, so I'm always wary of thicker mascaras that weigh them down. This mascara is nice and light, and after I curl my eyelashes this mascara keeps the nice curled shape without making them droop. I also have hooded lids, so finding a mascara that doesn't get all over my eyelids is always a challenge. This mascara is perfect for hooded lids. The wand is skinny and straight, so you can get right to the lash line. I always get Very Black in waterproof, because I find it doesn't rub off on my upper lids throughout the day. There is no flaking at all, and it doesn't smudge. It has a very natural look, so if I'm doing a more dramatic look I'll add a volumizing mascara over top, but this is always my base mascara no matter what. If you want a natural look with a lot of length, this is the mascara for you. -
