When I first started running, I suffered from bad runners knees. My husband insisted I replace my New Balance with a new pair of runners because he said it'd really help to have a pair of proper running shoes. He suggested I try the Asics shoes because they are lightweight and breathable. Asics shoes are more expensive than the New Balance but they have a wide range of runners to choose from. I tried a couple of different brands (include Nike, Rebok, NB, etc.) and settled for the mid-range Asics Gel-1100. I noticed a huge difference between my new Asics and my old NB shoes. The shoes were extremely light which made the running seemed easier and the breathable fabric kept my feet relatively cool during the run, esp. during the summer. The Gel-1100 are corrective shoes which meant they adjust for my feet rolling as I run. After switching to these new cushioning shoes, I have noticed a big improvement in terms of my knees, my foot and my training.
Since then, I bought a second pair of Asics (Gel-Cumulus) for work. I am on my feet a lot and sometime I get terrible feet and leg pain after a long day of work. I don't wear them everyday but I noticed a big difference in terms of recovery time - my muscles recover from fatigue and over-stress faster (compared to wearing other non-cushioning sneakers or shoes). Once again, these Gel-Cumulus are extremely lightweight and breathable and they give me a happy little bounce when I walk/run with them.
My husband wears runners a lot and he has tried brands such as Nike and Saucony, both of which makes excellent running shoes. However, since he has switched to Asics, he has never gone back to the other brands because he finds the Asics cushioning technology much more comfortable. He has gone through 2 pairs of Gel-Nimbus and his current pair is a Gel-Kinsei.
I definitely think Asics shoes are a good buy, esp. if you are athletic or if you spend a lot of time on your feet. Asics do go on sale, esp. when the old model is being replaced for a new one. You can buy a nice pair of Asics between $70-100.

Lululemon also offers hemming service for free which is a HUGE bonus in my opinion! The staff is experienced in measuring the lengths, so they are able to help you decide on the length you want. For example, the girl who measured me told me if I want to wear them for running, I could leave them a little longer or try them on with my sneakers on. I never thought about that, so I was grateful for her advice! -

This is one of my favourite body butter. It's a little more expensive than the Body Shop ones but I think it is totally worth it! I love the blend of mango and grapefruit scent because it's refreshing but not overpowering. It is very moisterizing but it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy like the Body Shop ones. This body butter also comes in 3 other unique scents if you prefer something less fruity. Crabtree & Evelyn is pretty good at giving out samples, so ask for one before deciding on which one to buy! -

A very hard working salesperson convinced my mom and I to try the in-store demonstration of this manicure set and we were sold on the product immediately! *grin* This set comes with a very moisturizing hand scrub (Hand Recovery) for exfoliating the dead skin on your hands. Then, apply the moisturizer (Hand Therapy) to the hands after washing the scrub off with lukewarm water. This 2-min procedure leaves your hands feeling soft and smooth. The La Source fragrant is refreshing and light. We bought this set for my cousin and she absolutely loved it!! -

I bought a trial size of this Rosewater Hand Therapy and I love it!! It is lightly scented with the beautiful rose fragrance. It does a super job of moisterizing my very dry hands, leaving them soft and smooth but not greasy. It comes in a malleable metal (like toothpaste) tube so you can squeeze out every dollop of the cream!! I hightly recommend this hand cream for anyone with dry hands and I think it's a great item to keep in your office desk drawer. -

It is probably the best dark chocolate out in the market without having to pay an arm and a leg for it. While the other 3 flavours were all special in their own way, this decadent dark chocolate is simply to die for. I highly recommend this to anyone who adores dark chocolate because you will not regret this purchase! -

I really enjoyed this dark chocolate with little bits of crunchy caramel. The dark chocolate was smooth and bitter sweet; Nestle has done a very good job with this dark chocolate. The caramel bits gave the chocolate a nice crunchy texture, which is different from the soft, chewy caramel which you'd normally expect in a chocolate bar. However, I think it would've been even tastier if the caramel flavour was a little more prominent. I find he dark chocolate is overpowering the caramel and you really have to "look for" the caramel flavour. Overall, it's a wonderful chocolate bar and I'd highly recommend this to any dark chocolate lovers!! -

I have never been a big fan of cherry chocolate but this Noir Cherry had surpassed my expectations. In short, it was delicious and I'd totally buy this again. The dark chocolate was rich and smooth. The chewy cherry chunks add a fruity kick to the bitter sweet chocolate without being overpowering. I shared this with a friend of mine and she also loved the taste of this cherry/chocolate combo. I got this chocolate through Freebie Friday. I love dark chocolate, so I enjoyed it. However, I must admit that I was a little disappointed in the caramelized cocoa bits. The cocoa bits sounded interesting but because it's mixed in with such rich dark chocolate already, the cocoa bits flavour didn't stand out at all. Although I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the chocolate bar, I didn't find this to be anything special. I shared this chocolate bar with a friend of mine who also had the Noir Cherry with me. She also agreed that this wasn't as good as it looked. Overall, it tasted good and we enjoyed this delicious little snack! -

This is my favourite body cream from The Body Shop. It is a lot like the Ginger Souffle from Origins but cost 1/2 the price. The ginger scent is light and refreshing. The (whipped) cream is very soft and very light; it glides right onto my skin, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. Unlike the body butters, this souffle gets absorbed into my skin quickly without leaving any greasy residue. This is a limited edition product but I hope The Body Shop continues to push out more Souffle products in other scents. I love Love LOVE this cream!!
