Compared to other drugstore brand body wash, this moisturizing body wash is pretty good. It has the Dove signature of light but lovely scent that leaves you feeling pampered and refreshed. This body wash is also moisturizing, even when compared to other Dove body wash. Also, it is economical because you only need a small dab on your loofa to produce lots of foamy lather.
I think this is a wonderful body wash for the summer because of its moisturizing properties. I'd still recommend using a light lotion after your shower to fully lock in the moisture and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. However, I don't believe this is moisturizing enough for our harsh Canadian winters. I am a huge fan of Olay Ribbon body wash and I swear by them in the winter time. Compared to the Olay Ribbons, this Dove body wash just doesn't compare when it comes to moisturizing your skin. With the Olay, I can use a body lotion after my shower and I'm good to go. But with this Dove, I can see myself needing a heavier moisturizer, perhaps a body cream or butter, after the shower to ensure my skin doesn't dry out.
Overall, this is a nice product and I will buy it again. But I definitely need extra moisturizing after each shower.

After reading so many wonderful reviews on this product, I decided to give it a go. I've never used powdered foundation before and I was amazed at how nice this feels on my skin. It felt like I was wearing nothing, such a dramatic change from my old liquid foundation. I love it and I will never go back to liquids again.
The coverage is also much much better than my liquid foundation. It covered up most of my freckles and the redness around my t-zone. The best thing about this foundation is that it stayed for the whole day!! I've tested this on cool days and on humid days. On the cool days, my face looked perfect all day long. On the humid days, my nose started to look a bit oily but nothing a little touch up wouldn't fix. But my cheeks stayed perfectly mat, something that my liquid foundation couldn't do for me. I was so impressed, SO Impressed!!
I love this foundation, it's so affordable and it works so well. I didn't need a primer and the foundation worked much better than my old foundation. I totally recommend this to everyone!!

I really like this foundation. It comes out of the tube in white liquid form but it changes colour to match your skin tone as you rub it onto your face. This foundation is easy to apply but you have to make sure it's rubbed in evenly around the face to avoid blotches. This foundation also has SPF 15 so you will not need to wear additional sunscreen (unless you expect to have a lot of sun exposure). This is also very lightly scented, so light that you won't notice it at all.
My only complain about this is that it really is a lightweight foundation. It is great if you are only looking to smooth out your complexion and it will hide uneven redness in different area. But the coverage isn't great and you can still see the freakles on my cheeks and the dark circles under my eyes. Fortunately, this foundation also comes with a matching concealer which I use to hide the problem areas (such as acne and dark circles, but don't bother with the freckles). This combination works very well.
I think this is a good product. It works and it's fairly cheap.

In terms of comfort, these are not all that great. I find the rubber kind of hard, especially between my toes. There are also not a lot of support on the sole. However, these are flipflops that are meant to be fun for the summer. So I didn't expect them to be super comfy, especially not for $7.
Old Navy has a huge selection of colours and I have seen them as cheap as $3/pair. At that price, you can several different colours to go with your outfit. I only wear my flipflops at the pool or in my backyard and I never go beyond my driveway with them. But still, sometimes you just want to look good, even when it's just you and your dog at home. :)

I think I'm probably the only one who didn't like these mousse chocolates. *blush*
I received this through the Product Review Club. I was also selected to review the last Nestle Noir series and I LOVED those (especially the one with the cherry bits). I was very excited to try these mousse chocolates because they look delish and they sound delish. Not to mention I'm a huge dark chocolate fan, the darker the better. But I was very disappointed by these mousse chocolates.
What I liked?
- The packaging is unique. It gives the chocolates a look of elegance. If Nestle is trying to market these chocolates as a high end product and hope they are comparable to brands like Lindt, I think they did a good job.
- Each piece of chocolate is pretty big in size...particularly great for someone who's looking for a sugar-overload.
- The price is alright, considering the amount of chocolate you get. And it would've worth the money had I enjoyed the chocolates...but I didn't.
- I definitely liked the dark chocolate mousse better than the milk chocolate. However, this preference could be a result of the simple fact that I adore dark chocolate and almost 95% of the time prefer dark over milk chocolates.
What I didn't like?
- It was WAY too sweet and too rich. A good dark chocolate should be bittersweet but these chocolate mousse was just sweet, period. I couldn't taste the bitterness because my tastebuds were so overwhelmed by the sugar. Like the milk chocolate, I made the mistake of popping the whole chocolate in my mouth (I'm an overzealous chocolate lover) and ended up having to wash the chocolate down with milk because it was too rich.
- The mousse center was smooth, but it felt "spongy" on my tongue. The texture was weird and it felt artificial. It definitely didn't give me the "melting in the mouth" sensation.
- Because I was so put off by the sweetness of the chocolate, it took me a whole week to bring myself to eat this again. I cut the chocolate in half this time and the half-bite size was better. But I still found the chocolate too sweet. I couldn't leave the chocolate taste in my mouth afterwards to savour the flavour (like I always do with good food) and I had to wash away the taste with tea.
Overall, this chocolate did not live up to my expectations. I wouldn't waste my money on these chocolate mousse because I know Nestle can make tastier dark chocolates than these. I'd rather spend my money on the non-mousse dark chocolates because those were so much more enjoyable.

I received this book through the CA Book Club. It tells the stories of Kate and her sister Kelly who are both in very different stages in their lives but they were both going after the same man. I like how this book tells the stories from the first person's point of view; it was like getting into the mind of each character, to see what they see, to think what they think and to feel how they feel. I particularly enjoy the odd chapters on Larry the liquor guy or Jeremy the husband.
I thought this book was very insightful. The characters were well developed and very easy to relate to. I enjoyed this book very much and I would definitely recommend it to other chicks who loves a fun, light read!

I have a small tub of this that came with a gift set. It feels smooth when you apply it to the face but it doesn't smell very nice. I do like it better than the Day Cream because it is a very light-weight night cream and it doesn't feel greasy. This is one quality I always look for in night moisterizers and I was satisfied with this one. However, just like the Day Cream, this Night version is nothing special, so I probably wouldn't buy it again. -

After reading such wonderful reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. The verdict? I was VERY disappointed.
The good things about this scrub... Well, it smells great. I love the scent. It's also very cheap, especially considering the size of it.
What I don't like about it? Gosh...where do I start? In terms of quality, this is probably the WORST facial scrub I've ever used. I think someone described it as taking sandpaper to your face and that description was dead on. I don't have sensitive skin and I can pretty much use anything under the sun and not react to it. But the first time I tried this scrub, I found the granules very large and extremely sharp. I rubbed my face as gently as I possibly can and afterwards, my cheeks still felt like they were cut. I tried using this several nights later, same result. I've tried this on my face 3-4X and I finally gave up. There are much much better scrubs out there for a very affordable price.
I strongly recommend AGAINST using this scrub everyday on the face; it's too abrasive. In fact, I probably wouldn't use it more than once a week.
So instead of throwing it away and wasting my money, I tried other CA members' advice and used it as a body scrub. I didn't find a huge improvement on the elbows and heels. However, I use it several times a week as a hand scrub. I wet my hands with warm water, use a generous amount of the scrub and rub GENTLY for about 10-15 seconds and rinse with warm water. I finish off with a great hand moisterizer and my hands always feel soft and smells great.
(I gave very low rating for Quality and Effectiveness because this is marketed as a Facial Scrub and I think it's a terrible product for the face. If this product was meant for the body/hands, I'd definitely give it a higher rating.)
