The Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection Rinse was not my favourite product to test. I think it does live up to its claims that it freshens breath and helps to maintain your teeth without causing that 'burn' feeling from many other mouthwashes. The problem is, I kind of like that burn. I had to keep reminding myself that it was probably still working, even though there was no burn. I also did not really like the fresh mint flavour that it comes in, it is kind of bland. My other dislike were the small, solid, blue-dyed flecks that I found in my sink after use. I'm not sure if they are in the mouthwash, if they are particles of food/plaque the mouthwash is removing, or what...but they stick to the sink. Every time I use the product I need to scrub out my sink to remove the very solid, very sticky blue specs. I didn't really find that appealing.
Lastly, the product is pretty expensive for what it is. I will likely stick to the mouthwash I typically use and not switch over.

I really liked this toothbrush. It has a nice bit of flex to the head which helps with brushing molars at the back of your mouth. The handle is a bit larger (would not be great for children) and is contoured well to fit your hand. After using the brush my teeth felt clean and the soft bristles did not hurt my gums while using the brush. I have used the brush for almost a week now and would definitely purchase the Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush in the future.
The brush promises to be gentle on enamel, aid with bad breath, clean along the gum line, and reduce gingivitis (and more)! I would say that for the most part the brush does live up to these claims.

I recently tried a bag of the new Christie's Ahoy Extra cookies, specifically the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter flavour. I was expecting great things, typically I like Chips Ahoy cookies and love anything flavoured with chocolate/peanut butter however these are unbelievably disappointing! You would expect that the cookies would actually have a peanut butter flavour, you would even expect that they have a chocolate flavour, but no such luck. If you close your eyes and bite you would be hard pressed to guess that the cookie had either peanut butter or chocolate in it. In fact I brought them into work and had my co-workers do just that; no one guessed there was peanut butter or chocolate in the cookie. Not a good sign. Aside from the complete lack of advertised flavour the new Ahoy extras really had no flavour at all, they were just bland. Considering these cookies are sold as premium flavours in small 182g bags the lack of flavour coupled with the bland, generic 'soft cookie' taste, left a really bad flavour in my mouth. I would avoid these cookies entirely from your shopping list. -

Recently I tried the Activia Strawberry Rhubarb yogurt. It was absolutely amazing with respects to flavour and has easily become my favourite yogurt flavour! Danone managed to get the ratio of tart rhubarb to sweet strawberry perfect and neither flavour tastes synthetic. In addition to the wonderful flavour the yogurt's consistency and texture is quite appealing. I would highly recommend picking up this flavour of Activia the next time you are out shopping. -

I was very excited to try the Tampax Radiant Pearl Tampons. As with the other products in the Radiant line, I liked the packaging; it was appealing and eye-catching. As far as how well the product worked, it was on par with the plain old Tampax cardboard applicator and OB tampons that I typically use. The radiant pearl tampons have a plastic applicator which is easy to use and has fairly good grip. The packaging that is around the tampon itself is pretty discreet since it is a soft plastic so it doesn't really rustle when you are opening it which is nice. The package does make it easy to pop the applicator back in for disposal, but I find most brands do that anyways. I think the product works well, but I find that Tampax has other lines that work equally as well, are a little cheaper, and slightly more environmentally friendly. I wouldn't ignore the product but I probably won't switch unless the price comes down. I would tell others about the product though.

I'm not a huge pantyliner type of gal, I just don't find that they are very absorbent. Typically I would use a pad or a tampon. That being said, the Always Radiant Incredibly Thin Liners are pretty good for those super light days. They are incredibly thin and are fairly absorbent for light flows. Again, I liked the packaging; eye-catching and there were a lot of pantyliners in the box. As for fitting several types of underwear, they worked well with traditional cut underwear but bunched a little with the ladies brief style. My main drawback with the product is that they were not individually packaged. I love the idea of reducing packaging as much as you are able but typically you want to toss one in your bag and not worry about it getting beat up. My suggestion would be to keep the product as is but include a pretty pink carrying pouch that you could toss one or two in and then put the whole thing in your purse.

I received the Always Radiant Infinity Pads to try for Chick Advisor. I did like the packaging for the product, it was bright and eye-catching. The product is fairly heavily scented which did not appeal to me. I prefer to use unscented products so for me that was a huge drawback. My other problem is still the 'infinity' pad. I know a lot of people like it, but I really do not find it effective. Every time I use Infinity pad they leak along the edge of the pad which is not cool. Unfortunately the Radiant Infinity pads still leaked when I used them. Also I don't really find the foamy material super comfortable...but that may just be me. They may work fine for light days but I can't always count on that and they definitely do not work well for me overnight. So ultimately for me I would pass on this product. -

I received the Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar from Chick Advisor to try out and I was amazed at how well it worked. I work outdoors all day and as a result my skin is often dry. The Dove bar cleaned well and did not leave any noticeable residue or filmy feeling using it. It also helped to moisturize my skin, which I was very happy with. My only draw back to this bar is that it is very heavily scented. When I first opened the bar, it smelled as though I had put an air freshener in my bathroom for 3 days. I typically dislike using products with that strong of a scent and would prefer if Dove would market and produce an unscented version of their cream bar. -

I was one of the lucky ones who were chosen to sample the Febreze Car Vent Clips for Chick Advisor. I am glad I got to try it out, there were things I really liked and things I was not super excited about. The price is a catch point for me, I have seen the product on sale for $2.99 and I would totally buy it at that price point but I wouldn't get it much above that. The air freshener (I got the scent linen & sky) is very easy to use. You clip it to a vent in the car and switch the settings to the amount of scent you want it to emit. On the lowest setting under ambient temperatures Febreze suggests it should last about 30 days. In our vehicle I started with the lowest setting (not a huge fan of overpowering smells) and although it did freshen up the car I found the smell too strong, especially when the heat was on. I eventually moved it back to a vent at the back of the van and I preferred the smell better that way but the kids found it a bit too strong. Since we tested the product in the winter/early spring I would be concerned about how strong the smell would be in the summer when it gets hot out. So I did pull the product out of the car. I think I would rather put it in for a day or two to get rid of an unwanted smell then remove it.
I did try the product on our work trucks though. Our work trucks consistently have a special 'funky' smell to them. The product worked very well. The smell has been eliminated (at least for now) and it was achieved without soaking the seats with febreze. I still won't leave the product in the trucks for an extended period of time but I would totally buy it again (on sale) for our work trucks.
Ultimately I like the product but I wish their lowest setting was even lower, it truly is still too strong. However, like most febreze products, the vent clips work well and are easy to use.

First off, I could not get it to work with respects to removing hair...on the other hand it removed the top layer of my skin like gang busters. Sadly I did want to remove some facial hair (sigh) and thought I would try the Veet ready to use wax strips. I followed the instructions carefully because I didn't want something to go wrong on my face. Warm strips gently between hands (check), try on a small patch of skin first (check), pull strips apart and apply to spot you want to remove hair from. Press down to apply (check). Pull tab quickly in direction opposite to hair growth (check). Only remove 2-3 hairs AND the entire top layer of skin (check)...oops my bad, that wasn't in the instructions. Too bad it happened though! Luckily I had tried just under my chin so the red, sore, road rash injury isn't directly obvious to all unless I lift my head up. I would definitely not try these again. The injury is bad enough but coupled with the fact that really no hair came out...truly frustrating (and painful). Save your skin, go to a professional. -
