I received this product, along with 2 other bars, in the review club. I am greatful for having been selected for this! From the start of opening the package, to the taste of the bars, you know you are getting a high quality product! I love the packaging!
The bar itself offers the ability to snap squares in different sizes. This is a great feature for those who just want a taste, as well as providing a proper serving size for those who need or want to keep track of their intake!
I like the fact that Brookside has incorporated healthy products into their bars, while still creating great and unique flavours! Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants, and dark chocolate has been proven to have many health benefits as well. It makes it easy to enjoy when you can do so without feeling guilty or wondering what negative effects will follow.
The chocolate is smooth and not bitter as most other chocolates of the same caliber. It didn't melt in my mouth as much as others, certainly not as much as a milk chocolate would, but it wasn't tough or gritty at all. You can actually taste the fruit! The cherries and pomegranate compliment each other well. That being said, this is the one bar that I personally did not enjoy as much as the others. The bitterness of the chocolate, combined with the tartness of the cherries and pomegranate were a bit too much for my palate. I would eat it if a craving hit and it was my only option, but wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this bar.
I like the other Brookside chocolates that come in bags; they are great for tossing on yogurt, or in a salad for an extra pop. That being said, sometimes you just want a chocolate bar! These fit the bill! Unlike the bags that I could polish off fairly quickly, the bars are consumed much slower, and it allows the person eating to actually savour the flavours!
One thing that truly impresses me with Brookside is that it is the only dark chocolate my family and I can consume without getting migraines! That alone speaks to the higher quality of product! I am not sure how it is manufactured, processed, or what specific ingredients they use, but it is fantastic to be able to eat something that we all enjoy without such a horrid result!
Although I will most definitely be purchasing the other two bars again, my only concern with them is their price point. Though I have seen them a few places for about $4, I have also seem them at my usual stores costing as high as $8 per bar! It is definitely worth it for the quality, but at that price for the size of bar you get, it is something that will only be purchased either when on sale or as a treat. I would purchase these over similar bars in their category that share the same price point.
I highly recommend everyone try them! Initially I wasn't too keen on the sound of the flavours, due to other brands products I've tried that were absolutely disgusting, but was pleasantly surprised for the most part! These are by far one of my top treat foods now! Even if you've had other similar items as I had, it is worth putting the fears aside and trying them! If you are anything like myself or my family (whom I might add ate the better halves of my bars.. Haha!) you will not regret it!!!

The chocolate is smooth and not bitter as most other chocolates of the same caliber. The chocolate in this bar seemed to melt in my mouth more easily than the other two flavours. I love the tropical taste with the rich high quality chocolate! They complimented each other perfectly! Mango isn't typically one of my favourite flavours, but I did enjoy the way it blended with the other flavours in this bar. I enjoyed the taste of the coconut. Coconut is one of my favourite flavours. Though I am partial to pineapple and coconut together, it was nice to have something different but still with a close enough taste. Above all, I love that these bars don't have much of a lingering aftertaste! The lingering flavour of dark chocolate, especially when it's with coconut, is something I can't handle! This experience was truly enjoyable!

Spiral fries were always my favorite as a kid! I am thrilled that they are back out again and have great flavor! I typically eat them alone (I am not all that ashamed to say I can, and do, and LOVE eating an entire bag in 1 sitting! lol), but they are also great when paired with any number of sauces or foods! I have dipped them in cherry, plumb, sweet and sour sauces, as well a ketchup, and have paired them with chicken fingers/nuggets, burgers, hot dogs.. etc. They are truly versatile! Better yet, they are quick and easy to prepare! Whether its dinner, a late night snack, or a bowl set out amongst other 'finger foods' when company is over, they are a great addition to any meal, snack, party, movie night, or really any time at all! LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!!! -

I have 2 cats, Mittens (Senior) and Speedy (Adult), as well as a feral community in my yard consisting of anywhere from 4 to 8 cats on any given day. Mittens and Speedy eat Blue Buffalo Wilderness. They have several cups on the floor everyday of rabbit, salmon, trout, indoor, chicken (weight loss and hairball control), and weight control. Yes people think this is insane, but just as people like variety, my cats like it as well.They go through phases of wanting some flavours more than others, but they enjoy the variety. I give them this because it both keeps them healthy and gives them energy, as well as preventing weight gain and hairballs. The feral cats outside typically get cheap food, as well as my cats blue buffalo occasionally, or any top brand that is on clearance. Considering there has been so many as 30 in my yard at a time, top brands on a regular basis are out of the question!
After researching Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Cat Food, I was excited to be selected to try this on my cats. It has items similar to their norm Blue Buffalo, and none of the crappy additives, fillers, or preservatives found in far too many pet foods on the market! I especially like that they are straight forward regarding where their ingredients are from, and even more so that they are Canadian! Many pet foods market themselves as health conscious, and promote that they use only top ingredients, yet far too many leave out the fact that many of these top ingredients are shipped in from Asian countries and mishandled due to the extremely low bar set by governments! Many websites refuse to admit where their food actually comes from, and dance around the subject when asked. If it is not something I am willing to feed my family, it is not something I will be feeding my family!! My pets are my family and they deserve the best I can afford! I was thrilled to find another company that meets my high standards!!!
When I first received the bag from Chick Advisor, Mittens and Speedy were all over it! They both cheek-rub claimed it for their own and were excited when I first gave them each a bowl to try. I was blown away at how much they LOVED this food!! It is rare that I see them both desire the same item, and even more rare that they devour the entire dish in a matter of minutes! My family and I gathered around to watch them, as the sight was absolutely hilarious!!
Unfortunately, the excitement and fascination with this new food only happened that one time! It baffles my mind that something they both truly enjoyed, is something they seem to never want to touch again! I have even tried placing some treats on top in hopes that they will at least eat a little bit more, but they just eat the treats, and when it gets down to the Nutrience, they pick out whatever treats are left and eat them off the floor! This is completely out of their nature! I have NEVER EVER seen anything like this before! They still have a fresh cup of Nutrience Grain Free SubZero put out for them each day. They both sniff it, and go back to their Blue Buffalo Wilderness! I wish I could ask them what this reaction is about, because I am completely baffled!
The ferals outside also went bonkers for this food the first time they tried it! Unlike my indoor cats, the ferals have continued to eat the Nutrience, along with their other foods. Being feral and being given lower quality foods more often than not, I believe they recognize this as a higher quality product. They ALWAYS clear their plates when this is given, unlike their cheap food that they now leave in the dish then knock on the door or window as if it is all gone in hopes of something better. lol. As my dad says, "I guess beggars can be choosers!". Hahaha!! Given that they are feral, it is hard to truly review this product from their perspective since it is a comparison to the lower quality foods they typically get, unlike my indoor cats that receive Blue Buffalo. That being said, my review on the ferals behalf is that it is a major hit! I am thankful on their behalf for receiving this food, for allowing me to provide them with proper nutrition, and giving them a taste of the better life.
I rated this product 5 stars for Quality because it is a high-standard, high quality food! What you see is what you get, and what you get is worth every penny if your cats enjoy it!
I rated this product 5 stars for Effectiveness as I have seen a change in the overall health and well-being of the feral cats. Especially since it is winter time, it is nice to see them with thicker, softer, and healthier-looking coats. Their eyes are so much brighter! They exude less feral bahaviors such as fear and aggression. They have (unfortunately) also made friends with a skunk who now believes itself to be a cat! lol. We put a bit of food out for them at night and the skunk comes over a few nights a week and also devours the Nutrience food along with them!! It is hysterical to watch 2 cats play with a skunk in my yard!! Thankfully the skunk never sprays!! I truly believe the thing thinks it is a cat! haha! Well done Nutrience.. Well done! lol! Additionally, I don't think I have ever seen a skunk so energetic or playful! You should see the stinker charge down the street! Hahahaaaa!!!!! HYSTERICAL!!!!!! "Coming soon to a PetSmart near you.. Nutrience Grain Free SubZero CAT AND SKUNK food!" hahaha!!!!!
Lastly, I gave this product a 3 for Price. After seeing it on shelves at PetSmart, Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Cat Food is about the same price I pay for Blue Buffalo Wilderness. So, listing it in the higher quality = higher price category, this product is average for a food of its caliber. The price at PetSmart for the 5.5lb bag is $29.99, and the 11lb bag is $49.99. At least at these high prices, you know you are paying for true quality, and ensuring both the health and overall life of your cat!
I would recommend cat owners try this product because of the high quality and effectiveness. I know that if you purchase it from PetSmart and your cat does not like it, you can return or exchange it. It is definitely worth a shot.
The reason I most likely will not purchase this product again is solely because it would be only for the ferals outside, and there is no way I can afford to purchase Blue Buffalo for Mittens and Speedy inside, and this for the ferals outside!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Received it in my swagbag from Mall Crawl. I typically stick to laquers or fast-dry polishes as I don't have a dryer and regular polish takes forever to dry. I applied this, and first thing I noticed is that it went on perfectly!!! No lines, no blotches, complete even coverage! I was especially shocked that it dryed in minutes!! It's so shiny! I figured there has to be some down side to this.. But there isn't!! I've had the polish on my toes since the Mall Crawl and it still looks exactly the same as when I applied it!! Still perfect, no cracks or chips, my nails are hard as a rock, and they're still shiny and not dull at all!! I'm leaving it on our of curiosity to see how long it will actually stay as perfect as when it was applied! Never had a product last even remotely this long, certainly none that still looked this great!! Even better, I went to a sale this weekend and was able to stock up on it for $2 each!! Definitely strongly recommend this product!!!!! -

I received this in my swagbag from Mall Crawl. Always excited to try new creams/serums, and this was the first product I tried. I'm not sold on this product at all!! Some of my friends love the smell, but to me it smells like old funky tea. Additionally, while it did make my skin feel ok at first, about 15-20 minutes after applying, my skin felt weird in parts (hard to explain), and my nose got EXTREMELY itchy!! At the same time, it started kind of flaking, but not a dry flake, like little goopy pieces. I applied it at night so trying to fall asleep with an itchy nose and (pardon the image) what felt like boogers on my face, was a little hard to do! I exfoliated prior to applying the serum, so it was definitely the product and not my skin. Pretty gross! The serum did seem to absorb fairly quickly, but apparently this isn't the case. Though I sleep on my back, part of my face touched my pillow during the night and I woke up to a brownish yellow line on my pillowcase! Absolutely disgusting!!! All things considered, especially the price for the product given this experience, definitely not something I would even use a second time, never mind recommend. A few friends seem to like it. Could be that my skin tends to be dry, where theirs is more combination to really oily. -

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! I received it in my swagbag from Mall Crawl. The smell is fresh, not chemical like some similar products. It took a few wipes to get all of my eye makeup off, but really did the trick! Additionally, as it didn't make my skin feel tingly, burn, tight, or just feel weird like others I use, I decided to use it on my entire face. It took all of my makeup off, even the thick contouring creams, with complete ease! My skin felt so soft, clean and fresh. No tightness or dryness, just pure clean skin! This is my new facial makeup remover, and I also use it for quick refreshening during the day when I'm not wearing makeup, or to reapply day cream. Absolutely love it! -

Received this in my swag bag from Mall Crawl. Was excited to try it as it is extremely hard for me to find mascara that works for me, as so many make my eyelashes fall out, so freebies are ideal. Unfortunately, this product is no exception. After applying it, my lashes looked amazing!! Long, not clumpy.. But about an hour later, they started itching and falling out. If you aren't sensitive to products like this, I absolutely recommend trying it, as my lashes did look great while they lasted. If you are sensitive, it's always worth a shot, but just be aware there is a good chance you won't tolerate this product. -

I got this product in my swag bag from the mall crawl. I've seen it in stores amongst a hundred similar products, but didn't know anything about it specifically prior to trying it. I tried it at night first as I was afraid, after opening it and seeing the texture, that it would be similar to others I have tried that left my skin sticky or peeley. I was surprised at how quickly it absorbed into my skin! It left my face soft and shiny, not greasy or sticky at all! Additionally, it's the only cream Ive tried that I can actually apply foundation over without it being blotchy! I absolutely love this product!! The only down side I have is that it doesn't help my blackheads in the least! That being said, I have now made this part of my routine, using it instead of my Vichy day cream, and keeping the Vichy at night to keep blackheads at bay. Love it!!! -
