My MacBook is from 2008! Yes 2008. It still works, I have had to replace the battery once already, and do numerous software repairs. The external speakers also do not work anymore. At the time, it cost me a lot of money but considering that it still works all these years later, it is definitely worth it. I have also never put a virus protection program on it, and have never once had a virus. I love this little computer! -
