Thank you very much for the free sample and opportunity to review Dove Go Sleeveless Anti-Perspirant! I'm quite happy to have a small size anti-perspirant that fits into my purse! But that aside...
I have to admit that I was a bit confused by the "Go Sleeveless" claim; I had no idea that this was in relation to its apparent ability to make your skin smoother (I thought that meant it would be invisible and not get on my clothes). I will say that the product does glide onto the skin very smoothly and leaves a nice finish, which is, I guess, what is meant by "beauty finish". I do enjoy the smell: it is somewhat lighter and fruitier than the original Dove smell (I still use their classic anti-perspirant), but in the same wheelhouse.
I was sad to learn that the product does indeed come off on clothes, after testing it on a pull-over type shirt, so I will continue my step-into style of getting my dresses on for now. The nice finish is appreciate however. It doesn't seem to clump up like other anti-perspirants do, though the difference is only marginal.
I need to re-apply this after a hard day's work; it is on the weaker end of the spectrum as far as smell-protection goes. But pretty good, overall.
I still give this 5 stars for price points, as it is a very reasonably priced product that does the job and does not smell bad (this attribute is often hard to find, wierdly...). So while I'm not jumping-for-joy impressed, I like it and would probably buy it in the future.

This product does exactly what it says it does: dries fast, and makes your nails feel silky smooth and strong. Usually I have to wait hours for what seems like forever for my nail polish to dry after 2-3 coats, and then the slightest knick results in a horrible smudge, but not with this stuff! I just layer it over the last coat, and after a minute or two I can push as hard as I can on my nails with no smudges at all. It's amazing, really!
The only "con" I can see with this is that it's quite smelly, like some strong chemical of sorts. I'm sure it's not "green" and probably isn't "healthy" either, so that's a bit worrisome. But what can I say? I just want pretty nails! (And I don't want to wait forever to get them!) The smell disappears once the nails dry, luckily.
I heard about this product from a blog about how to do better manicures at home, so I was anxious to try it. Boy was I happy to find this on sale at Loblaws! Now that I know how well it works, I won't feel bad about paying full price for it in the future.

Normally I wouldn't pay upwards of $80 for a skincare product (seriously..), but I haven't found anything quite like this anywhere else so I decided to splurge. I have since been using it on my face as well (it is THE GREATEST THING after a mini facial aka pimple squeeze fest), and any other area that is red or irritated. You honestly don't need much - just a little drop here and there - so the bottle lasts longer than you'd expect.
The product feels very slinky and cool when applied to the skin (you can really sense the cucumber extract). It is a 'gel' but more liquid-y than, say, an aloe vera gel; you won't end up with clumpy parts on your skin or anything and it isn't sticky at all.
This is one of those small luxuries that just makes me feel wonderful. I've also noticed that it has helped certain imperfections heal faster when I apply it on them, probably due to the anti-bacteria effect and also given that the product isn't heavy or greasy at all, so it doesn't clog pores. It can be used it on it's own, or before applying moisturizer. I believe the green tint is helping to reduce redness (although you can try eye drops as well if redness is your ONLY issue; you'd save about $75.)
All in all, very expensive product, but just a wonderful thing to have in my medicine cabinet. No regrets about buying this!

This is an excellent mascara that works well. I use the waterproof version with the spoon brush, and it does a great job of adding volume and length.
My only complaint is that it seems I have to replace the tube quite often; this product seems to clump up rather quickly (usually a sign it's getting old), compared to others. If you replace it every 2 months and are careful not to spend too much time over-applying (which will also make it clump), then it works just fine.
I have yet to find the 'perfect mascara' in all honest, but this is pretty good for what I paid for it!

I tried this mascara after having read countless reviews from women who "swear by it", and I guess I can see why: It's 8 bucks! Does a decent job of darkening the lashes and didn't clump immediately, but aside from that, what can I say? It's average. The brush is small, the mascara will run and end up under your eyes as the slightest hint of moisture, and there is no perceptible lengthening or curling effect. It's ok in a pinch, but not going to become a staple of mine anytime soon. -

One of all time favourite scents, and highly underrated amidst all the hype about the new stuff.
While I love the Eau de Toilette (I just love to spray myself with perfume; I'll admit I'm a perfume whore!!), what I get the most compliments on is actually the body lotion. If you can get your hands on a gift set that includes a small container of the lotion, keep it in your purse and just watch as men and women alike flock to you! I'm not kidding - it works like magic! Put a drop of this stuff on your hands and suddenly the whole room smells fresh! And the lotion has a 'softer' quality about it - almost like if it were made with baby lotion as a base, but not overpoweringly so - if that makes any sense! - and doesn't have the 'alcohol-ey' affect of the spray.
The only word I can think of to describe the scent is "fresh". It is almost cologne like, and I dare say a man might be able to get away with wearing this, but it still feels feminine to me. Like a bottle of CK-one trapped in a peony bush, surrounded by bees. People will walk over to where you are, sniff the air, and then say, "oh it smells GOOD in here - what is that??", as you smirk and shrug as if you know nothing.

I bought this product recently as it was on sale so I thought, why not, but honestly, I would pay full price for it. I have tried more expensive products intended for 'professional' use from Sally Beauty and other salons, and this one works just as well for a lesser price. So while it may seem expensive in comparison to the other hair products you find at the drugstore, when you consider where it stands compared to professional products (which are usually double the price), you will realize it is decent value for what it is.
This is not a 'shine serum' (although they have those), but it does seem to make my hair look healthier. Oh by the way, my hair is the opposite of 'healthy'; I am a platinum bleach blonde! So anything that can transform my straw-like locks into something soft and touchable is a miracle to me! I usually run a drop of this stuff through my freshly washed hair (I use the conditioner from the same line as well, and it is the best I've ever had), then comb it through. On non-washing hair days, I might add a little bit here and there to smooth flyaway and 'rough' looking areas. It works great as a styling aid as well - helps to smooth things down, but without being sticky or tacky like a gel. It's just great. I love this stuff!
While I don't believe this is actually 'repairing' my split ends (that is impossible), it does an excellent job of masking them, which is all I could ever hope for in a product.
Oh, and the product itself is a luxurious gold colour, and smells pretty good. Nice touch!

Hands down, Best Eyeliner I've Ever Tried. Unless you are going to get permanent makeup tattooed on your eyes, I would not recommend anything else.
I have sensitive eyes and this does not bother me. I have oily eyelids and this does not run nearly as much as anything else I've tried (I do use the waterproof version however). I apply it expertly in the morning (doing my cat eyes with the brush), then basically forget about it for the rest of the day. I have even gotten 2 days of wear with this product before, with just a touch-up in the morning (although I can't condone this behavior - it's bad for your eyes and make-up will get all over your pillowcase!). This is a great, long-lasting eyeliner.
Beware: this product is for those who are comfortable applying eyeliner with a brush. If you have shaky hands and prefer a simple pencil line, this probably isn't for you. But if you are a precise perfectionist like me with a steady hand, seeking a pointed line you can really define, then go for this product. It will really last, sot the price is amazing for what it is (I had my last pot for literally over a year - there was still some left before I finally replaced it for sanitary reasons).
Just be careful to work quickly with this and wipe all smudges as soon as they appear, as the product is not easy to remove once it's set. Admittedly it's not the easiest to remove - I usually dab my eyes with olive oil on a cotton pad, let it sit a few minutes, then carefully wipe it off - but this is a worthwhile compromise for a great long-lasting eyeliner.

This was my go-to moisturizer for a while until I switched over to something cheaper in hopes of saving some cash. Boy do I miss it! As soon as the bottle I've got runs out, I'm switching back!
This moisturizer does everything it says it does. While not 'shimmery' per se, it does seem to have a light-reflecting effect when you apply it. It doesn't blur your face as some of the new products claim to, but it does give you a certain glow that seems to make imperfections less obvious. The product moisturizes well without feeling heavy at all or clogging pores. It actually feels quite calming when you apply it. Aveeno products are excellent for sensitive skin (such as mine); I've used their other body lotions and sunscreens as well and never had an allergic reaction or anything like that. As they are made with oatmeal extracts and natural moisturizers (soy mainly), they are quite soothing.
My only concern is the price: for a relatively small bottle, they wanted nearly $30 for it at Shoppers Drug Mart. I am going to shop around a bit and see if I can't get it for less somewhere else, because it is a great moisturizer, especially for gals like me who prefer not to wear a heavy foundation and just want a little extra 'glow'. :-)

This is a great blush that looks lovely. I will admit I bought it on sale (I likely would not have paid the full $20.00 for it they wanted at Shoppers Drug Mart), but what can I say, it has lasted a long time. I believe I've had this blush since last summer (it is now April), and there's still plenty left. The colour is a light, almost shimmery pink - not too dark, not too light - that works just perfectly with my complexion (very light).
I have not noticed any particular effects on my mood (absent the good feeling I get anyway after a successful make-up application), so I wouldn't buy into that claim in particular. But I mean come on people, it's blush! If you want a mood booster, go for a run! It does smell somewhat nice though (nothing overpowering); I believe this blush is scented with violet, which is supposed to have aromatherapy effects of something.
While the compact (with mirror) is quite nice, I find it a little bulky for what it is. Since I would normally have a compact for face powder in my bag anyway, the blush compact is an added weight. So I normally don't carry it around with me. The only advantage to the compact I can see is the fact that it seems quite durable - has not broken in all this time, and I have yet to find broken pieces of my blush all over my make-up bag (as often happens with the smaller blush containers, such as Rimmel, Revlon, or CoverGirl versions. I have made a mess of ALL of these on many occasions in my life!)
The brush it comes with is not The Greatest (I am using one of the old brushes this same company used to sell with the loose, mineral powder since I have a million of them anyway and use an even bigger brush for face powder - it works great!). And sadly, I wouldn't say this blush is "long wearing" makeup; if you sweat, sleep on it or wipe it off it will come off.
All in all, I would say I am happy with this product and certainly don't regret buying it, but I probably wouldn't have paid full price for it (having said that, it looks like you can get this at Walmart for like $10, so by all means, please do so!). If money (or product size) isn't an issue, then go for it. Compared to other powder versions I've tried anyway, it's the best I'd had so far, all things considered.
