Definitely worth a buy....I'd like to try out the other varieties, especially the 45% less sugar one as that's a dietary concern of mine. A nice change from my usual crunchy peanut butter and crunchy almond butter. -

This brand is always stocked in our independent local grocery store and I like to buy it because of the company mission. They treat the planet and their growers sustainably, and I love that they are sponsors of the Banff Mountain Film Festival too. They are a little pricier than some others but their blends are all awesome in flavour. I drink two strong black cups a day and will not compromise with inferior product. We only buy whole beans and grind daily, but have had their ground coffees at restaurants and events, and they're very good. For anyone who finds coffee generally too acidic or bitter, try a tiny pinch of salt in your grounds when you brew or press. Even smoother, and no salty taste. -

Full disclosure: I am at present an Avon rep, BUT, I have used this mascara for years, long before I became a rep - getting it even cheaper was the main reason I became a rep when the lady I used to buy from retired. I find that this mascara does not melt & run when under pressure from gym sweat, light tears, pool splashing, humid days. If you are having a really hard cry or swimming laps, it flakes off a bit, but gradually so you won't look like a raccoon. It is very easy to remove with micellar water or cleansing cloths, or even just soap & water (although that's quite drying for the skin.) No need for tugging or picking off chunks of cement mascara before bed. I like the black colour as my lashes are light and I like them to look longer & fuller without looking like those idiots with the 1 inch 'mink' lash extensions - definitely an enhanced natural look. Perfect for camping, or the gym, or pool play - draws attention to your beautiful and expressive eyes without looking too made up.
If I were going to a evening party or something where I want a more dramatic look I'd use a different mascara (and false lashes) but the Avon Wash-off Waterproof mascara is perfect for day-to-day use. It lasts around 3 months before you notice it clumping a bit and drying out - but that's perfect as it's suggested that you get fresh mascara every 3 months or so for your eye health to prevent bacterial growth in the product. It's often on sale for half price or in a combo with their eyeliners.

The past few times I've purchased Armstrong cheeses (usually old cheddar) I find that it irritates my throat, making it scratchy and sore. This isn't happening with other cheddars or other kinds of cheese, including the store brands that are often cheaper. Many years ago, I used to exclusively buy Armstrong Cheddar, when it was actually manufactured in Armstrong, BC, but since it has been bought out, I find the quality is not there anymore. It's disappointing and I will only buy this brand when it goes on sale for 1/2 its usual cost as my husband doesn't seem to mind it. I'll probably try it again in a few months to see if it's just been a 'bad batch' or maybe the first packaged after a major machine cleaning episode in the factory. -

I decided to try this coffee as I usually purchase organic/fair trade/shade grown coffee beans even though they are pricier. This coffee compares favorably with any of the other brands I've used. I drink mine strong and black, husband drinks his 'single/single' style. Both of us enjoyed the smooth, rich, deep flavour and it stood up well to his 'additives.' It also pairs well with a good brandy or whiskey.
We like the tenets of the company, and with Blockchain technology it would be nice to be able to trace the beans back to the source. I'm sure that will happen in the future.

I generally wear a very longlasting washable waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner daily (I used to work as an aquafit instructor at the pool.) This Micellar water remover works well on my full face make-up including foundation, lip liner and lipstick, and the waterproof eye makeup. I use one square saturated cotton pad for my full face, so it's pretty economical too - also a better price than some of the other 'higher end' brands that are actually made by the same parent company. To remove the eye makeup more gently without rubbing, set the pad against your closed lid and lashes and hold in place for 5-10 seconds. Then it just comes off with a stroke. If you have too much liquid on your cotton pad it can run into your eyes and sting a bit, so make sure to wipe up any excess before opening that eye. The only mascara I have had to work a bit harder to take off using this formulation is Cover Girl Great Lash Waterproof, but that stuff will stay on during a full day teaching swim lessons.
I like that it has no oil, alcohol, or fragrance in the formulation. My skin feels very soft and not coated or sticky after use, and I use it every night before bed without rinsing after.
