I have been suffering from bumpy, rough looking skin and pigmentation problems since my mid-30s. I've tried some other glycolic acid products such as neostrata's glycolic wash, Reviva labs glycolic toner as well as some now discontinued Dermaglow products and FAB glycolic pads.
All of these products were irritating but I needed something to chemical exfoliate. Salicylic acid seems to irritate my skin and enlarge my pores.
I turned to acne.org, and after some consideration I purchased acne.org's 10% glycolic lotion.
At first my skin was dry and I experienced a bit of a purge, as glycolic acid increases cell turnover and brings congested material to the surface.
At this juncture let me say that the "purge process" only happens with actives such as retinol, glycolic and salicylic acid. It does not happen with face washes that don't contain actives, nor with facial moisturizers without actives that increase cell turnover. It certainly doesn't happen with facial steaming which no one should be doing anyway. (If you're getting pimples from facial steaming it's because you're pissing your skin off. Inflammation=acne)
I am very happy with this product, I only use it at night and wake with smooth, rosy, radiant skin.
Do not forget your sunscreen regardless of what you use on your skin.
Wear sunscreen.

In the winter I use something heavier, but I love this lotion. It feels great. It hasn't caused breakouts, but can clog my pores on really warm days. Those days I just use a hydrasol

coffee that can be purchased on the shelf at the store or even specialty places like Starbucks has been there for a looong time, roasted months ago. The reason I don't buy this kind of coffee is because of a fungus that grows on coffee beans. This form of fungus creates mycotoxins that make their way into coffee by adhering to dried coffee beans. Once the mycotoxins have latched onto the dried coffee beans, they are incorporated into the process of grinding. Yum.
Java Blend roasts their beans in small batches every day. Freshly roasted, freshly ground. No mycotoxins and better tasting coffee. If you can get locally roasted coffee go for it. Think about the fungus next time you pick up a can of Maxwell House on sale. It's on sale for a reason.

I have hyperhydrosis and let me tell you, this works as well as the very expensive pastes you apply to the underarm and it smells nice too. I usually am dripping wet from my underarms down. Not today. This stuff works. -
I drink this tea with honey in the afternoons. I need a boost most days and coffee makes me too jittery. This tea is not bitter at all, but strong in flavor. A good honest black tea.

Yum is the first thing I can say. I love the almond apricot version I'm allergic to most nuts, but it seems that the almond apricot version of this bar is best for me. It's sweet and tangy and a perfect snack when you're just a little bit Nibley :)

I bouight this as a respite from my heavier usual favorite. I found this at Lawnton's. Pretty good price, but I find I have to apply it twice, once isn't enough. This face cream hasn't clogged my pores or caused irritation. It's very good, but it's... +

This face cream hasn't clogged my pores or caused irritation. It's very good, but it's not my favorite yet. I'd buy it again because it's also a great hand lotion

I got color matched with a machine they had at Sephora a couple of years ago, and was given a sample.
I have Melasma on my upper lip. This over a decent concealer such as Erase Paste and it doesn't look cakey at all and it is the most perfectly matched color for my light olive skin.
Every where else on my face it it sheer and glows. I wish the excess didn't build up outside the mouth if the screw top jar though.
I really like this foundation.

The formulation is good, but I find it irritating. It gives me small bumps along my cheekbones. I went back to my previous cheaper BHA exfoliant I did not see the same problem, in fact I saw an improvement the same day I stopped using it.
The price is absolutely disgusting. I paid a lot for shipping and the product itself was forty something dollars..for BHA?! There are cheaper, better choices having nothing to do with the cosmetic cop.
I don't seem to agree with Paula's choices any better than her opinions.
Go figure ;)

Neostrata's Gel Cleanser for all skin types has 4% Glycolic acid. It is a fairly average cleanser, non irritating and it does brighten and exfoliate the skin to a mild degree. It's not the best Ive used, but it's certainly average.
I would buy it again...but the price is silly
