I received the Schwartzkopf Hair Mascara in black through ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. While the external packaging for this product review was definitely overkill - a box that could have fit 24 tubes of hair mascara rather than the one tube that arrived, the product itself is fairly good. I don't typically colour my hair so I have greys at my temples and hairline. This hair mascara was easy to use and given its compact size, the wand gave me enough control to hide the few greys I have. If you have more grey hair, you may be better using the spray instead of the mascara. I'd buy this again, but as more greys start to appear, I may opt for a spray then. #TRYHAIRMASCARA -

Thanks to Chick Advisor's Product Review Club, I recently had the opportunity to try the new Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Yogurt Body Wash in Apricot and Honey scent. I really enjoyed how light and fresh the scent was, and that it was not heavy and cloying like some scented body washes. I also really liked how there was a good balance of cleansers and moisturizers in the product so that my skin was left clean without being stripped of its moisture. Combined with the moisturizing lotion in the same scent family, my skin was silky smooth for 24 hours. None of that dry itchy skin that sometimes comes with warmer weather, especially if you're not quite ready for shorts. This was a very good body wash that I'll be recommending to family and friends. -

Thanks to ChickAdvisor for introducing me to the new Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Yogurt Lotion. I was so thrilled to receive this as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I've used Aveeno Skin Relief 24-Hour Moisturizing Lotion in the past for days when my skin is feeling dry and itchy. Aveeno always seems to do the trick, addressing dry skin and alleviating the itch that comes with dryness. This product (Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Yogurt Lotion in Apricot and Honey) delivered. It smelled great (not heavy and cloying like some moisturizers can be) and it was so easy to scoop up a small portion to apply on my skin. It absorbed quickly and easily into my skin, and I could still feel its effects the next morning. I love this product and will certainly buy it again. -

I grew up in a Sunlight dish soap household because my father spent some of his career working for Lever Brothers Toronto, which manufactured the brand's dish soap and laundry detergent, among other products. However, there were some dishes that I had a tough time cleaning with the Sunlight dish soap. After watching commercials about Dawn Ultra Dish Soap and how it was used to clean oil from wildlife after an oil spill, I decided to try Dawn for my dishes. It worked. I no longer have to scrub and scrub to ensure my dishes and glassware is clean. A little bit of Dawn goes a long way to cutting through grease and cleaning my dishes the first time. -

I have been using Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment for the past 10 years. I use it for my lips when they are feeling a bit dry in winter, and for treating the dry skin on my elbows and heels. It works very well to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized so I don't have dry scaly skin in the winter. I have not tried other Eucerin products yet but if they work as well as the Aquaphor Healing Ointment, you can't get a better product for the same or less! -

I received the Garner SkinActive Micellar Water for review as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club, and have been using it for the past two weeks. I've heard so much about the effectiveness and convenience of micellar water as a "no water needed" make-up cleanser and was very excited to try this product. I do not use a lot of make-up on a daily basis - some BB cream, waterproof gel eyeliner, a bit of blush, and some lipstick. I've been using the Tatcha Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil since Christmas and it has quickly become my cleanser of choice for its ease of use. I was hoping that the micellar water would serve as a convenient alternative for times when I'm too lazy or tired to do a complete face clean. Unfortunately, the micellar water was not as quick or effective in removing my make-up. I ended up using quite a few micellar water-laden cotton pads to clean my face, but it did not clean off all of my eyeliner. I needed to use a more traditional face cleanser to remove the rest of the make-up. I think the product works well if you wear minimal make-up and do not use a lot of waterproof make-up. Otherwise, consider this to be the first step in your cleansing ritual and follow up with a face wash product. -

I received the Garner SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Moisturizer as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club, and have been using it for the past two weeks. I am not one to regularly use sunscreen, which explains why I experience hyperpigmentation; however, I found this moisturizer to absorb quickly and not leave a grey film on my face like other daytime moisturizers with SPF. It did not leave my skin oily and worked nicely as a base before I applied make-up. I haven't noticed any brightening in my skin, but it may take some time for any effects to be noticeable. I'll continue using it to see if there is any difference in tone once I have finished the bottle. It's a bit pricey compared to other moisturizers with built-in sunscreen, but it seems to a decent job. I might buy it once I finish this full-sized sample, but will hang on until I see if there is any visible improvement in my skin condition. Thanks for the opportunity to try this product - and to introduce sunscreen into my daily regime. -

It is paraben-free, not tested on animals, and made with coconut oil, hemp oil and 20% Shea butter. It is as effective as L'Occitane's Shea Butter Hand Cream. With a big difference in price. The tube costs $5.99 USD and is available at your local Trader Joe's. It's worth the drive. Trust me. -

I've tried a number of different cleansing oils in the past, but none seem to be as gentle or effective as the Tatcha Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. I bought the 0.8oz bottle during the Boxing Day Sale at Sephora, and have been using it nearly every day since. You only need two pumps of oil (3 if you're wearing a lot of heavy make-up) and you gently massage it (using dry hands) all over your (dry) face. You will see the make-up melt off, and you only need to quickly rinse with water. It does not leave a cloudy film over your eyes when removing eye make-up as some cleansing oils can do. It leaves my skin feeling soft, clean and hydrated. I plan to pick up a full-sized bottle when this one runs out. This has replaced my arsenal of cleansers.
