I recommend Ferro Hair Art to everyone that comes to me wanting a new hairdresser. This is the only salon that I trust to cut my hair, and more specifically the stylist, Hari. Ask for him! The place is quaint, but it's sophisticated inside. The cost of a wash, cut, and dry is somewhere between $65-85, which could be on the pricer side but they do it well and I trust them to make it nice! The stylist Harry always listens to what you have to say, and provides his own suggestions on what you should do, but more importantly explains his reasonings behind his advice. He's extremely personable, so there's no need to fear your hairdresser! It is right next to a Starbucks so if you want to continue your pampering day, you can just pop on over after your beautiful new hairdo and treat yourself to a latte to go with your freshly blow-dried hair. -

Let me tell you, I usually don't buy drugstore brand mascara as I have found it never to be great for my eyelashes. The products were either too harsh or clumped up my eyelashes into three toothpicks. I will say that CoverGirl's LashBlast Waterproof Mascara did surprise me, and it did pass the test! I bought this mascara on a whim as I was heading south to the Caribbean, and I didn't wear it once there. It's been sitting in my makeup drawer for about two months now and last week I am so glad that I had it there. I did a 20km obstacle course race which involved getting wet and dunking ourselves in mud from head-to-toe. I threw on this mascara before hand as it was my only waterproof mascara, and I had the fear at the beginning of the race that it would run. This fear was not needed at all. After the whole 20km race PLUS it pouring for the whole entire day we ran outside, the mascara stayed on and didn't smudge once. NOT EVEN ONCE! Now that is a GREAT waterproof mascara that promises being waterproof... -

The main thing people look for when searching for that bronzer is to avoid looking orange. Orange yells fake, fake, fake! Wearing this bronzer, you will definitely be far from fake, and close to a "yes, I did just come back from a trip to the Caribbean." This bronzer is perfect. It's matte, which is not common in a bronzer, so it really appears natural on the skin. In addition to this, it can be used in contouring, and even as an eyeshadow colour. The price and the tacky appearance of the box can cause you to hesitate, but there is no need as the product does deliver. I have more of a fair complexion, and it still gives me that sun-kissed glow. It lasts a long time on my skin as well. It comes with a little brush, but I don't find it that great so I use my own face powder brush, however it is good for contouring. All in all, this bronzer is extremely flattering on any skin tone I have found (as long as you like that glowy look!) -
