PUR Moisturizing Day Cream
I tried PUR Moisturizing Day Cream because it was on sale at Shoppers (I believe it is a Shoppers Drug Mart brand). I have a bad case of combination skin so I have extremely oily parts and extremely dry parts of my face, so I like a moisturizer... +
I tried PUR Moisturizing Day Cream because it was on sale at Shoppers (I believe it is a Shoppers Drug Mart brand). I have a bad case of combination skin so I have extremely oily parts and extremely dry parts of my face, so I like a moisturizer that is thick yet not too greasy. For $5 this cream is amazing! It keeps my dry patches moisturized but I didn't break out in zits.....so for me, that's perfect!
I was recently at Shoppers and they had marked the price down to $3.99 so I stocked up!

Havaiana flip flops are really sturdy and comfortable. I've had one pair for at least 3 years and they are still in great condition. In the past I have found that cheaper versions that have the same size thin straps dig into my feet and cause blistering. The price is a little steep for flip flops but if they are long lasting I definitely think it is worth it.
I usually live in flip flops in the summer months and a few summers ago I was in Italy wearing a cheap brand. I was sitting on a bench minding my own business when I looked up and noticed a couple staring at my shoes and laughing at them!! I know that North Americans dress more casually than Europeans, but I couldn't believe they were doing that since I was in an area that was swarming with North American tourists in flip flops! When I told this story to another European, she told me that flip flops should only be worn in the house/to the beach UNLESS they are Havaianas. Since I didn't want to be made fun of by strangers any longer, I went to the store and picked up my first pair of Havaianas and haven't looked back since!

I tried Breyers Smooth & Dreamy for the first time and it was great!! I'm a HUGE fan of ice cream (my first ever job was at Dairy Queen, which helped to feed my addiction). I've tried light and low-cal ice cream before and I always thought you could taste the difference. But what's really cool about Smooth & Dreamy is that it tastes just as good as regular ice cream, but it's only half the fat! I tried 2 flavours: Coffee Fudge Brownie and Creamy Chocolate and they were both delicious! The price is a bit expensive for ice cream, but it's worth it!
Also, I very highly recommend looking at the recipes on the Breyer's website - they tell you how to make all kinds of ice cream cakes that look fantastic!

I really like these pore strips! I agree that it does hurt a bit on the parts of your cheeks it touches and at the crease of your nose when you are pulling it off, but it's still worth it. I always notice fewer blackheads left on my nose after use. If you use it after a hot shower or after you have steamed your face the results will be significantly better since your pores will be open and ready! After you pull it off your nose it's pretty gross to see all the gunk that came out of my face, but it's satisfying to know it is not on me anymore!
I definitely would recommend using these every so often to minimize blackheads - don't expect perfection though, it does not get rid of them all! I also agree that they are a bit pricey, but I've tried a few similar products and nothing works as well as these.

I was excited to try this when I heard that yellow combats the bluish tone in under-eye circles, but I can't say I was too impressed. I really don't think I looked any different when using this corrector and concealer on top as opposed to just concealer. Maybe if you really need a lot of under-eye coverage you might see a bigger improvement but I don't think the extra step was really worth it for me. -

For my oily skin, I found this product to be a bit too light that it would start wearing away after only a couple hours. I prefer MAC's Select Cover-Up Concealer because it is longer lasting. -

I really like this concealer as it provides the really good coverage and applies smoothly. The tube may look small but it lasts FOREVER! There was one time I thought I was about to run out and I bought a replacement....but I ended up using the first one for another month and a half. I really don't know how it lasts so long, and especially when I am using it every day, but it does and for me that is hugely important. -

I think the word 'decent' describes my thoughts about Zoom Lash perfectly as it did some of what it promised, but it didn't 'wow' me. -
The Rivoli

I tried The Rivoli restaurant on Queen St. in Toronto for the first time at our Fun Friday. We got a really great spot on their patio and pushed 2 tables together so we could all sit together. They have a great menu that they describe as eclectic global comfort food. You can try spanokopita, pad thai, and even grilled cheese. It's a good spot to come with a group of people because you can get so many different kinds of foods that there's a good chance of pleasing everyone.
When we went, we got pretty much the same things: either pad thai or bah me gai (they are basically the same things). The food was tasty but I can't say it was spectacular....it tasted just how I expected it to taste: which is a good thing for some people.
It gets really packed for lunch so it's a good idea to get there early.
