I got my hair coloured here last week and I'm extremely happy with the results. I went into the appointment a little unsure about what colour I wanted to go with. I asked my stylist Steven to recommend what he thought would work with my skin tone and the results are perfect. I really appreciated that he paid attention to detail and took the time to make sure I left the salon satisfied. It's been less than a week and I've already received a bunch of compliments.
The last time I had my hair dyed I went to a different salon that I chose because I got a good deal. I later realized that a "good deal" price-wise, isn't so great if the salon does an amateur job. At Del Monaco salon I got an expert job and I thought the price was very reasonable ($200 for 3 colour highlights and a blow dry). I will definitely be back to Del Monaco Hair Studio.

This body wash reminds me of Dove's Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash - which isn't a bad thing, I love that one! You don't have to use very much because it lathers really well and left my skin feeling really smooth and moisturized. My skin gets really dry and itchy in the winter but I've been using this body wash for about a week now and I'm noticing an improvement.
The smell is fresh and clean - i like!

It works really well to remove makeup and dirt and gently cleanses your skin. It's a little more gentle than I usually use, but it felt nice. I will be keeping these in my gym bag so I can quickly wash my face before hitting the gym. They are convenient because they don't take up much space and since you can see the makeup coming off your face as you wipe, you can be sure that you won't have clogged pores in the gym.
Of course, these can totally be used in lieu of your daily facial cleanser, especially if you have sensitive skin because it's a gentle clean.

I tried the Allegro Ballet Bootcamp class last night and I had a ton of fun. The class was high energy cardio with a bit of weights and floor ab exercises, but everything was ballet inspired. Expect a LOT of plies (like squats), some jumping, lots of lunges, that sort of thing. We started the class with 30 straight minutes of cardio, so don't expect slow ballet moves!
There were all kinds of people there, many who had never tried ballet before but the moves were basic enough for anyone to understand. I found that if you have some ballet training under your belt, you get to channel your inner ballerina by trying to do everything gracefully. This was honestly one of the most fun exercise classes I've ever taken and highly highly recommend it.
One thing I must say is that the location is a bit sketchy. You have to walk down a little alley with all this graffitti to get to the door. I actually got to the door and considered turning around for a second, but braved the creepy entrance, climbed the stairs to the studio and was very glad I did. The room was very big and spacious and well-kept.
Definitely try one of these classes.

My family went out for dim sum brunch last Sunday to Asian course on a recommendation from a friend. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place - I hadn't even finished my meal and I was already planning when I could come back.
The place had a good vibe to it - very authentic, classy, and spotless. The food was delicious. It's a fusion of Chinese, Korean, Thai and Indian cuisine. We went with a big group so we ordered a ton of different things and I got to try a little of everything (actually I probably tried a little too much I was soo full after!). You can pretty much get anything here from fried rice, dumplings, pork buns, kung pao chicken, mango salad, seaweed salad, congee, etc.
The best part is that it's all you can eat lunch for $11.99 - that's an incredible price, especially considering the high quality of food. I seriously recommend this place to anyone in the Thornhill area.

I had such high hopes for these tweezers and they let me down. At 17.99 each, the price is high, but for a good pair of tweezers it's worth splurging. These ones however, are not worth it. They are made with this unique diamond coating on the tips that's supposed to grasp ultra-fine hairs firmly, but for me it wouldn't grip anything!! I found myself getting really frustrated because it just couldn't get hold of barely any of the hairs.
One positive thing I will say is that I loved how it comes with a little plastic cap to help keep the tweezers sharp - why don't more tweezers come with this?

At that price I knew I couldn't go wrong. I grabbed a lavender colour which I love! It's really spring-y and puts me in a good mood just looking at it. It does chip fairly easily but I'd seen much worse with brands I've paid a lot more for. I really think this was a great steal!

I got to try one of these lip colours courtesy of the brand. I've tried other long wear lip colours (the ones that are like markers) and I find that they dry out far too quickly, you only get a couple uses. I really really like that this is a liquid because it lasts as long as a regular lip gloss does.
So because it is a liquid, when you first apply it, it comes off glossy and then it dries. The other side of the applicator is a really smooth applying balm/gloss (not sure exactly how to describe it) but it gives a really nice shine. It definitely didn't last 24 hours, but it did last significantly longer than a regular lipstick considering I was eating and drinking (full colour was still there for probably 6ish hours).
I've worn this several times and it's been great. The colour options are excellent too. If you have very dry lips, I definitely do not recommend this. One day I wore this my lips were chapped and it showed bigtime! It clumped up and got all flaky. So as long as you steer clear on chapped days, you will probably like this too.
