NYX is known for their affordable quality makeup. While you can get "better", you're never going to get it at this price. And NYX gives time and time again, great quality products for really low prices. The Suede Cream lipsticks (in particular the shade soft spoken) is one of those products. It stays, it's nicely pigmented and the color is so nice and flattering on most skin tones. Only little downer is that its drying especially if your lips are already a bit dry to start with. There's no moisture, no hydration in that formula so make sure to prep your lips a ton before putting it on. -

Before Burt's Bees, I always switched up brands and never stuck to one. But that's over. Burt's Bees is really the most perfect lip balm ever, it is so hydrating, it smells so good and the best part is that it even helps the bees. So you get what you pay for and you even support a cause (and it's not even that expensive so what are you waiting for?) -

Now, I love NYX. Their lipsticks make up a good chunk of my lipstick collection. But the lingerie line, it kind of left me feeling weird about it. I got embellishment since it looked like the perfect mauve color. And it is, it's the perfect shade between making a statement and having a natural-ish looking lip. But the quality, it was weird. NYX has a history of making really affordable makeup that still has great quality to it. And usually, they never disappoint. So i'm willing to say my experience was just a bad batch or something like that, but nonetheless, I got a lipstick that was a bit gooey and that didn't have that much of a staying power (which is weird considering it has never happened to me before!). I'm all for NYX, but this, this was a bit disappointing. -

This is possibly the most fun make up item I own. While you can use the colors as they are, you are so much better off playing around with them, mixing them and creating your own unique color. It's surprisingly creamy and smooth, doesn't dry out your lips, but is pretty smudge proof. I once went through a whole birthday supper at a greek restaurant and still came out with perfect lips.
My only issue is that it's not very travel size or practical. If you need touch ups, you'd technically have to mix it all over again everytime which is time consuming and not the kind of thing that you'd want to in a club bathroom (for example). Also, yes it's expensive, but you definitely get a lot of lipstick for what you pay. And the colors given are so pigmented, a little goes a very very long way.
