After reading a lot of good reviews online, I decided to get a sample bottle of this mask. I have used it up completely but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed enough with the product to be buying the full-size.
PROS:
- cleared my pores around my nose and forehead, and it did draw out the oil from my T-zone
- it has a cooling sensation once applied and it didn't irritate my skin
- had a luminizing effect right after you use it - skin looks more radiant
CONS
- this is not intended for the whole face as instructed, this is more ideal as a spot treatment because while it was great on my T-zone, it did nothing for the rest of my face
- the luminizing effect did not last long, only shortly after using it. My skin was not any better the next day.
- it is painful to remove and it peels off in chunks rather than in one piece. Not only that but it pulls out any tiny hairs you have on your face which makes for a very unpleasant experience
-it says to keep the mask on for 30 minutes even though it dries pretty quickly but the longer it was on my face, the more it stung my eyes so I wouldn't recommend applying this anywhere near your eyes
- you have to apply a fairly thick layer or else it will not peel properly and you end up using a lot of product and going through the bottle fairly quickly
The minimal effects of this mask does not justify the hefty $40 price tag, specially since you will be finishing it up very quickly.
I'm going to pass up on this product. There are more inexpensive drugstore masks that work better than this.

After having gone without a trim for some time, I found my hair becoming more prone to split-ends to the point where the ends became noticeably frizzy. I decided to try this out after my friend recommended it to me. It was inexpensive and you get a good amount of product (177mL). Since it comes in a pump bottle, it's easy to dispense the desired amount and allows for mess-free application.
It claims to reduce split ends by 80% after just 3 uses. I had to use it for longer (about 2 weeks) to see a noticeable difference. The ends of my hair became smoother and I did see less split-ends, although it doesn't eliminate them completely.
The consistency of the product is thin so it was easy to distribute through the hair and it smells good. However, the product starts to clump and you're left with traces of white residue on your hair regardless if it's used on damp or dry hair. Apply this when your hair is damp so you don't get as much residue. Once your hair is dry then you can just comb out the remaining clumps.
This will not completely eliminate split-ends. The only way to do that is to get regular trims. I'm still on the fence whether I will buy this again or not. I've been using just coconut oil to condition my hair and it's working for me. This product is still worth a try if you're looking to control your split-ends.

In general, I don't gravitate to CoverGirl for their lip products but I decided to try out the Lip Perfection Lipstick after receiving a coupon for it. After trying out the first one, I picked up a few more. These lipsticks are great quality for the price.
Firstly, I like the packaging. Although it`s made of plastic, it has a reflective metallic finish which makes it look nice and sleek. It has a clear plastic on the base which shows the colour of the lipstick. Usually there is only a sticker which is sometimes not true to the colour of the actual lipstick. For this product, the colour on the outside packaging is the same as the colour of the lipstick so it takes the guess work out of choosing the right shade.
They come in a variety of colours from neutrals to bright pinks, to browns, and even plums and berry colours and they come in a variety of finishes. It goes on smoothly and evenly and it lasts a good 4-5 hours. These lipsticks are very pigmented and is comparable to and sometimes even better than high end ones I have tried. The darker shades do stain the lips a little bit. The lipstick worn on its own should be fine since it does have a glossy finish but I find some of the frosty shades to be drying (although not overly drying) so I would recommend wearing a lip balm underneath or applying gloss over it.
I would recommend these lipsticks to anyone and I myself will continue to repurchase them.

This brush set comes with 4 brushes - a concealer brush, a blending brush, a powder brush, and a kabuki brush - with a carrying case. These are the perfect tools to bring in your purse because they are the perfect travel size and does not occupy too much space. The handles are short and are made of bamboo which feels nice to hold on to and allows for a good grip. The handles being short allows you to get really close to the mirror without the handle getting in the way.
What I really love about these brushes is the quality. They are really soft and well made. The bristles did not shed nor fade in colour even after multiple washes. The ferrules have stayed tight and have not become loose. Each of the brushes I've found to be very useful. The concealer brush is dense and great for applying concealer under the eye because of its small width and tapered end. It allows you to really get into the inner corners. The blending brush is the one I reach for the most and works really well for blending out harsh eye-shadow lines. The powder brush, although small is quite dense and great for packing on powders and blushes. It also works well at contouring the cheekbones. The kabuki brush is also great for applying powder.
A complaint people might have about these brushes is the size. They are smaller than regular brushes but they are intended to be travel sizes. I actually like that they are smaller because it's not too bulky to bring in your purse. The price is around $13 - a reasonable price for 4 good quality drug-store brushes.
VERDICT: This product is a buy.

I finally finished reading this. I don`t know why I waited so long to read it since so many of my friends recommended it to me. It`s a good thing though that I read this before I saw the movie because I was not impressed at all with the film.
The book really pulls you in right from the beginning. It was initially hard and confusing to keep track of all the dates and ages but once you get into the core of the story, you will not want to put it down. Having the story told from the perspective of the characters really helps you better understand their feelings and motives than if it was just written in third-person.
The last third and specially the ending of the book were tearjerkers. I only ever remember crying to a book when I read My Sister`s Keeper and Bridge To Terabithia. This is one book I will definitely re-read again.

I like to try different cereals but this one is a permanent on my pantry. I always have a box around. It tastes great and I specially love the dried berries. Not to mention, it`s healthier than other cereals that are out there. It makes for a great breakfast and I always bring along those snack packs to work to munch on during the day. I also like adding it to yogourt. -

Because I have combination oily skin, I always gravitate towards products that is labelled as 'mattifying'. I had a 50% off coupon to use on any Body Shop product and I decided to pick up this one. It is on the pricier end but there are always sales happening and coupons and coupon codes available on-line to take advantage of.
PROS
(1) TEXTURE: This day cream has a silky gel-like texture that reminds me of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing gel which I really love. Because it's formulation is on the thinner side, when applied to the face it's like splashing your skin with water - it's so refreshing. This is ideal as a daytime moisturizer because it's very light and perfect to use under make-up.
(2) HYDRATION: This cream delivers on that promise. It's hydrating and moisturizing without it feeling greasy. This is great for the summer months when you need to moisturize but don't want additional oil on your face.
(3) OIL CONTROL: This is why I purchased this day cream in the first place - for it's mattifying effect. It dries matte but it doesn't make your skin feel dry. It really helps with oil control. With this, I found my makeup lasted longer and I did not need to use blotting paper as much. My face did eventually get shiny but that was at the end of the day, hours after applying it.
CONS
(1)PACKAGING: As with most Body Shop items, this came in a tub. I would much rather prefer if it came in a bottle with a pump. I really don't enjoy dipping my finger in there every time due to sanitary reasons. I use a Q-tip to get the product out but it would be so much easier if it had a pump. I do like that there is a plastic cover to prevent spills.
(2) NO SPF. For a day time moisturizer, I would expect it to have some SPF but unfortunately this one doesn't. I still need to apply sunscreen.
(3) THE SMELL. I personally like the smell - it's light and a little citrusy but for those who are sensitive to fragrance, this might not be an ideal moisturizer.
VERDICT: A Buy! Would repurchase again.

I love using this as my night time lotion because it readily absorbs into the skin as the name suggests. It is oil-free so it does not leave a slick and greasy film on your skin after applying so I don`t have to worry about the product transferring to my clothes or bed sheets. It moisturises well. Being oil-free, I wouldn't think it would work that well for my very dry skin but it helped get rid of any dry patches I had. It works great as a year-round lotion. It has a thin texture so it applies easily - it doesn't require a lot of rubbing to get it to absorb into your skin. It is lightly scented but the scent is not offensive at all. I have the large bottle and it comes with a pump which makes dispensing the product easy. It was inexpensive and the whole bottle lasted me for more than a year - definitely a budget friendly item.
Verdict: A Buy!

After the first use, I thought this was exactly the same mascara as the regular Lash Blast that comes in the orange tube because it had the exact same type of rubber wand with the exact shape, diameter, and length. However, after multiple use, I did notice a difference in how they perform.
The formula is different. The Fusion has a slightly thinner consistency which makes it great for coating every lash and creating length. It does not get clumpy even after multiple coats. However, it`s not as good as the Original Lash Blast in creating volume. It created some volume but not to the extent of the Original. I purchased the waterproof formula and the mascara did last for about 7 hours but I find that any longer than that and I will see it begin to smudge. I did not have that problem with the original Lash Blast - this one stays on the whole day.
I still gave this a thumbs up because it worked really well at creating length, it did not clump, and it was easy to remove. If you had to choose just one Covergirl mascara to buy though, I would opt for the Original Lash Blast.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this mascara. I wasn't too impressed with the Maybelline Falsies mascara so I had little expectation for this one. Surprisingly, it worked very well for my lashes. I was not gifted with the longest nor fullest set of lashes so I'm always hunting for a mascara that promises length and volume. This mascara delivered.
It comes with a typical fibre wand but what sets it from the Falsies is the density - it has a greater number of bristles. While it's not curved, the diameter of the wand is larger and it comes to a tapered point. The shape and density of the wand really helps in building volume but also lengthens at the same time. The tapered end is great for getting at the shorter inner lashes, as well as the bottom lashes.
The formula started out runny which I didn't mind because that allowed me to really coat every lash and be able to apply multiple coats without clumping. However, the more you use it and the thicker the formula becomes, the better this mascara performs. It creates volume without clumps.
Every mascara I purchase is in the waterproof formula and this one delivered on its promise of being water-resistant and smudge-proof. I wore this mascara out for 10 hours and I did not see any smudging or flaking. Even though it was water-proof, it was very easy to remove so there was no need for excessive tugging at your eyes.
VERDICT: Thumbs up on this mascara. Definite buy.
