I received a cute, little tube in the mail of Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy compliments of ChickAdvisor :) I loved the texture of this product immediately because it is soft, rich & moisturizing. I get dry & itchy skin especially in the winter time due to the cold weather so this opportunity was amazing. It absorbs into the skin nicely and does not feel greasy at all. It felt soothing to the touch. I love that it is not a heavily scented cream. I keep it in my purse to use on my hands & dry areas. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends & family. I look forward to purchasing this product in the large bottle size the next time I visit the drugstore. -

I received this beautifully packaged little deodorant from Schmidt's in Rose + Vanilla in the mail compliments of ChickAdvisor on behalf of Schmidt's Natural Deodorant. I was lucky enough to be selected to try and review it! I immediately loved the scent which is floral and sweet. I love products with a decadent scent and it's a bonus that it has natural ingredients! It glides easily and gently onto the skin when used and the scent does last the day so no need to over-apply. I would even carry this on-the-go for workouts and just to refresh in between physical activities like sports. I think this is probably my favourite scent that I have tried from the line so far. I would definitely purchase this again and of course recommend the brand and product to both family and close friends :) -

I was lucky to have the opportunity for a male member of my household try and review the Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant compliments of ChickAdvisor! I decided to give this product to my brother. He was used to purchasing certain men's drugstore brands that make deodorants/antiperspirants and so was not familiar with natural deodorants. He was very excited to give it a try because he was also curious about incorporating charcoal-based products into his skincare routine! He relayed to me that after first using it, he liked that there was a lighter scent which he describes as smelling like the outdoors. He used it in the morning after taking a shower. He also said it glides on well and that he did not need to apply too much to achieve the same results as other deodorants which need to be reapplied within the day to help prevent odour from perspiration. As my brother works out a lot and does a great deal of physical activity, a good deodorant to use daily is important to him. Although he acknowledges that the price point is a bit higher than what he usually spends on deodorants, he said it is worth it since it is a natural product for the skin and cruelty-free. He likes this product so much that he not only wants to purchase it again in the future but wants to try pairing it with the charcoal exfoliating soap in the same scent from the Schmidt's brand :) -

I was lucky to be selected for the opportunity to try Schmidt's Rose + Black Pepper Natural Deodorant compliments of ChickAdvisor! I have actually never heard of a deodorant with a scent combination like this so I was quite intrigued. First of all, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I was also impressed by the fact that it does not contain any aluminum or baking soda which are unfortunately common ingredients in most deodorants which I have grown to be more aware of now when choosing what to purchase to use on my skin. Upon first use, I noticed it was easy to apply as it glides on. It was not greasy or sticky. It has a lovely light floral scent. I personally found that I did not need to reapply as one application at the beginning of the day is sufficient. This product did not seem to leave any residue or staining on my inner sleeve at the end of the day. I highly recommend this scent and this brand as it is so unique. As the price point is higher than other drugstore brands, it is worth it when you know you are treating your skin with something natural. I will definitely be repurchasing this product in the future as I would love to try the other beautiful scents offered as part of this line :) -

I had the opportunity to experience and review the new grocery shopping and delivery online service from Sobeys called Voila as a selected participant by ChickAdvisor. I was given a generous two week window to order my groceries using Voila. I was also provided an amazing incentive of a $25 voucher code to be applied to my purchase of $100 or over compliments of ChickAdvisor.
Upon ordering my groceries on Voila, I found the website to be appealing with the use of bright colours and all tabs were clearly labelled and navigable. The service is simple to use and groceries are categorized plus you can search for specific brands or items with the search tool. Once you add an item to your cart, it displays the price and keeps adding the cost of each item you choose to show your total which I find quite convenient. I found the general pricing to be affordable with many staple products on special. Before checking out, I was required to create a Voila account for registration purposes. After completing my order and reaching checkout, I found out that I could choose my delivery day and time which was certainly serviceable. I was able to apply my $25 voucher code with ease provided by ChickAdvisor before payment. The online service even informed me before payment that a particular product was no longer available on their website so I could select something else. After payment was completed and my order was successfully processed, I received an email confirmation from Voila outlining my purchase details.
On the day of my delivery, I had requested my groceries to be delivered in the morning to ensure freshness and ample time to put away the items, especially refrigerated and freezer products. I received an email in the early morning informing me that my delivery would be coming in that day. I also received a phone call from which a voicemail message was left letting me know that the delivery was on its way which I thought was a very professional touch. The Voila delivery truck even arrived slightly ahead of schedule. The delivery person was very polite and friendly and brought the groceries in bags straight to my door. I immediately noticed that they had taken the time to sort the groceries into bags by category (i.e. produce was in one bag, frozen food in one bag, etc.)
I would highly recommend Voila by Sobeys to both family and friends. The entire experience in both ordering groceries online and having them delivered to my door was excellent. The value for money when purchasing items is fairly reasonable, notably when purchasing sale items. My family was very pleased with the items we received and found the service very efficient. I am glad to have learned about this service through ChickAdvisor as a great alternative to shopping at grocery stores and would definitely love to use this service again :)

I received the Teapigs Super Fruit Herbal Tea free in my Ecobox as part of the Earth Month Essentials from Chick Advisor. First of all, the packaging is absolutely beautiful. This tea is natural and caffeine-free so perfect for anyone who is sensitive to caffeine. There are 15 tea temples in a box and each one is bursting with berries as the box says.
The beauty of this tea is that it tastes great hot or cold and I even tried it iced and it tasted quite fruity and refreshing. It smells lovely when it is steeping and is a great pick-me-up when you’re feeling sluggish. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends and I will personally be purchasing the other flavours from this line myself. Just add a sprig of mint or a few berries for garnish and you’ve got a glass with class ;)

I was lucky to have the opportunity to try a deluxe size tube of My Clarins Re-Boost Refreshing Moisturizing Cream in the mail for free from Chick Advisor as part of the Earth Month Essentials Ecobox. This is a unique line from Clarins that is especially designed for younger skin and best of all, is plant-based. The cream is a light pink hue and when applied, goes on smoothly and rubs in easily on the face and neck.
It has a pleasant scent and is very hydrating for the skin. I personally prefer to use this cream in the daytime as I found it enhanced my complexion with a rosy glow. As per current circumstances of staying indoors more, I am trying my best to wear a no-makeup look so a good quality face moisturizer is the first and best thing to invest in. I strongly recommend this product as per the rest of the range of which the products are quite innovative. I will certainly be purchasing this face cream in its full size when I restock for my skincare routine next :)

I received the Green Beaver Naturadri Antiperspirant in Fresh Verve, complimentary from Chick Advisor in the mail to review as part of the Earth Month Essentials Ecobox. As with many people, I have become more aware of using aluminum-free products which this antiperspirant thankfully is. It is also 100% natural and gives 24-hour odour protection. It has a light, natural-smelling fragrance with hints of floral and citrus notes.
During this time of being at home more, I find myself sweating easily since working out more than ever, so this was perfect to use. It glides on the underarm fairly smoothly and I also noticed that it did not leave as much white residue on the inside of my sleeves as other antiperspirant or deodorants I have used before. I would recommend this product for daily use but maybe not for intense workouts as you do need to re-apply. I look forward to trying other scents in the range from Green Beaver :)

I was selected to try the Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Shampoo with Papaya Extract complimentary by Chick Advisor as part of the Earth Month Essentials Ecobox I received in the mail. The formulation is for dry, damaged hair which I have so I was looking forward to nourishing my locks. This is an adorably packaged shampoo as it resembles an organic juice bottle! Plus, the bottle is recyclable in keeping with the eco-friendly products theme. The bottle boasts a 98% naturally derived ingredient base too.
When shampooing, pour an amount as needed depending on the length and thickness of your hair and massage into wet hair until lathered, then simply rinse away. The scent is amazing and smells sweet, refreshing and tropical! After a few uses of this product, my tresses felt softer and looked shinier. I highly recommend trying this product or even any of the other scents from this collection. I will definitely be purchasing more hair care products from this line again :)

I tried Tetley Cold Infusions in Mint, Lemon and Cucumber complimentary when I received my box in the mail. I was fortunate to be selected by Chick Advisor to review the product. It is to be had as a cold tea instead of hot. The infusers come in a box of 12 sachets and it has no sugar or caffeine in it. I love the natural flavours and the combination works well together. I infused the tea in my water bottle and even added ice as I like to stay hydrated throughout the day. The taste was very crisp and refreshing and I even found it was a great follow up to meal. I will continue to purchase this item from Tetley and I would definitely recommend it to both family and friends :) -
