It has fine pink shimmer and is milky white. If for some reason you want a thicker serum, just pump out some serum, wipe it onto the chrome nozzle piece, put the cap on and leave it for 24hrs. Ta-daaaa creamy serum

Didn't like the smell, but it seemed to provide volume for my flat, thin hair. It didn't do anything at the roots. It didn't work enough for me to buy it again; sticking to Herbal Essences!
