So, for the 30 years I have been wearing fondation, I have applied it only one way - with my fingers. However, lately my foundation has been looking kind of cakey... not exactly the look I was going for. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a foundation brush since I wasn't sure if it was something I would keep using.
Well, the Ecotools buffing brush is perfection. At only $9, this brush makes my foundation look flawless. It takes a little longer to apply foundation with a brush, but the result is worth it. The bristles are soft and dense and there has been no shedding, so far. The handle is comfortable to hold, and it feels like a very high quality brush. I will definitely be buying more Ecotool products.

After years of coloring my hair with permanent dyes, and having it look dried out, frizzy and the color of shoe polish, I decided to go with a semi-permanent dye.
I am very happy with L'Oreal Healthy Look. It does dye darker than the color indicated on the package. I have dark brown hair with quite a bit of grey in the front, and I use the Medium Brown (5). It leaves my hair a rich dark brown, with lots of shine. I leave it in slightly less than the time recommended so that it doesn't get too dark or dry out my hair.
I don't think it lasts through 28 shampoos, though. After about 3 weeks, my greys are pretty prominent. I also do not like the smell, but that fades after a shampoo or two.

P.s. not sure where the average price of $10 comes from. It is more expensive than that....

These cleansing cloths are very effective in removing makeup prior to washing my face. I don't use it to remove eye makeup or mascara so I can't comment about in that regard. But I use a long-wearing foundation that is still very much present at the end of the day when I take my makeup off. The Balea cloths take it all off and are gentle.
I recently made the mistake of buying a different brand of cleansing cloths (Ponds) and they left my skin red and irritated. I'll be sticking to Balea from now on.

This is my go-to body moisturizer in the winter. My skin feels so dry and itchy in the cold, dry weather but this leaves me feeling soft and hydrated. This lotion absorbs quickly and is not greasy at all which is great because I hate having to wait to get dressed.
My only complaint is that it doesn't smell great, being fragrance free, but it does not leave any scent on the skin.

While living in Asia, I had access to the generic version of Latisse (super cheap from an online pharmacy). It was amazing and gave me ridiculously long lashes. Living back in Canada, with no access to said online pharmacy, my lashes reverted back to being meh.
I had always heard that the Rapidlash sold in Canada was not the same as in the US, and did not work as well. But out of desperation, I bought a tube at Costco and decided to give it a try. I have to say that I am impressed. My lashes are not as long as they were with the generic Latisse but they are a nice length now.
I saw results at about 8 weeks, and one tube lasted almost 4 months (used on upper lashes only, did not use on eyebrows).

I have many pairs of these Old Navy flip flops and I love, love, love them. They are cute, cheap and comfortable. I'm amazed at the negative reviews. Of course flip flops are not good for your feet. But to wear around the pool or a quick trip to the grocery store, they can't be beat. I also have a pair of Havaianas which I never wear because I find them uncomfortable.
The best ON flip flops I own have a thicker sole and come in metallic colors. Bought them in the US, so I'm not sure they are available in Canada. A bit more expensive but def worth it if you can find them.

I am a blush fiend. Nothing brightens up the face than blush, and I wear it every day. I had previously been a Nars blush devotee but not anymore. What I love about the It Cosmetics blush is it lasts ALL day. It is very pigmented and you only need a tiny bit. It took me a while to get used to it because I tend to be a bit heavy-handed with blush. Once you put it on it is very hard to take off, so keep that in mind.
Unfortunately, IT Cosmetics is only available at The Shopping Channel so you can only guess at which color will suit you. I have the Radiant in Rose and it is very pretty on my medium tan skin.

I have very dark undereye circles, so concealer is the most important item in my makeup bag. Unfortunately, it is so hard for me to find one that covers effectively and lasts all day. I was layering MAC Pro Longwear and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer, and it was doing a pretty good job, but it faded quickly and made my undereye area look a little dry.
I had heard about IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye on an another beauty message board and people were raving about it. Unfortunately it is only available on The Shopping Channel, so I wasn't able to test it out first. Choosing a shade was then hardest part - I read every review and watched countless You Tube videos to try to nail down my color. I ended up ordering it in Tan and Neutral Medium because I figured I would have to mix the 2 to get the perfect shade. Well, it turns put that Tan is my color, but I mix a little of the lighter shade to brighten it up. I have dark brown hair/eyes with a medium olive complexion.
Bye Bye Undereye is quite thick and very pigmented. It covers very well - there is some peach (?) undertones to it and it cancels out the darkness without looking chalky. I set it with a bit of powder and it lasts the day. No touch ups required. I am VERY happy with this concealer!
A 8g tube costs $29 (plus TSC's outrageous shipping fees!).
