This deodorant has everything that I am looking for in a deodorant and at an affordable price point too.
I was looking specifically for an aluminum-free deodorant since I am concerned about the health effects of using aluminum in deodorants. I also found through trial and error that most drugstore deodorants did not provide enough body odour protection, so I was using a "higher strength" deodorant prior to trying this one.
This Dove deodorant not only provides excellent odour protection on a daily basis but also gets me through my workouts odour-free. I am very satisfied with the deodorant and am excited to try out the other scents too.

I was fortunate enough to receive this kit as part of the Product Review Club. I was especially glad since the original price of $70 was a turn-off for me, and I would have probably been too skeptical to pick it up on my own, considering Crest's other Whitestrips only cost $30-$55. That being said, the difference in quality is very apparent.
These strips held on much better than any of the previous Whitestrips, which was a definite concern considering these had to stay on for 2 hours, as opposed to the previous 30 minutes. They did not move around in my mouth and adhered quite well for the whole 2 hours. Also, the whitening effect was much more obvious after the first treatment. While I have never done professional whitening at my dentist, I think the whitening effects are much closer to that than any of the previous whitening strips that I have tried. The best difference is that this whitening effect is supposed to last for a whole year! While I can't attest to this claim, I do think that this effect will likely last longer than Crest's previous Whitestrips. If you think about it in terms of how long it lasts, than the price actually becomes more palatable and is in fact cheaper than the 6-month-lasting strips.
The one drawback that I found was that it does cause tooth sensitivity. While I don't have particularly sensitive teeth normally, these did cause sensitivity to the point of being sore. I finished up the treatment though, and the sensitivity/soreness did subside. I also used toothpaste made especially for sensitive teeth which helped. It depends on one's own tolerance level whether you can put up with the sensitivity as looking at the other reviews, it looks like this is a pretty common side effect.
Overall I loved the whitening effects and while the treatment wasn't always easy (2 hours a day without eating or drinking is hard to do! sensitive teeth), I thought it was worth it and I would do it again when I needed, next year.

I really like this hair masque which I was graciously sent by L'Oreal and ChickAdvisor as part of the Product Review Club. While its price makes this masque an initial investment, only a small amount is needed per treatment so the 200ml bottle should last for a while.
The hair masque has a good consistency - thick but still fluid enough to work easily into your hair. There is no discernible scent to the masque but it leaves behind a clean smell.
I was very impressed with the hair masque after my first treatment as it left my hair noticeably smoother and silkier. My hair was much softer to the touch, and it had an overall healthy appearance and feel to it. The effect lasted in between treatment periods and my hair feels much more moisturized.
My favourite things about this product are that it is very effective; there is no overpowering scent; it is an efficient product - only need to let the product soak in your hair for 1 minute as per the bottle's instructions; and the results are long lasting and live up to its claims.
If the price was a little cheaper, it would be preferable, but overall, I would, and am already, recommending this hair masque to my friends and family.

I received this shampoo as part of the Product Review Club from ChickAdvisor and L'Oreal (thank you!).
Off the bat, the first thing you notice with this shampoo is the clean creamy banana scent. It is a pleasant smell, but if you prefer your shampoos unscented, it may not be for you. While the scent does not linger, if you sniff your hair throughout the day, you would definitely still be able to smell it.
The shampoo has a creamy texture and is of a good consistency - not too runny but not too thick either. It lathers well and is easy to work into my long hair. Once the shampoo is rinsed out, it leaves my strands squeaky clean with no semblance of any leftover residue.
Personally, I have not noticed any changes to my hair due to this shampoo (the masque is another story). While I have only used the shampoo for a couple of weeks and it may be too early for any noticeable changes to happen, in general, I do not think that the shampoo has improved my hair's moisture levels or smoothness. My hair is generally healthy, therefore I cannot speak towards its efficacy in bringing about a healthier appearance to my hair.
Compared to other reparative hair treatments, I find that this shampoo is average, and while it does not dry my hair out further, I do not notice much improvement either.
As this is a professionnel series product, I assume that the price is more elevated than L'Oreal's drugstore shampoos. For a higher price, I would rather spend the extra money on a product that remains on your hair for a longer period of time (and theoretically would lead to better results) such as L'Oreal's Professionnel Intense Repair Masque.

I was very excited to receive the new Crest 2 hour Whitestrips as I had tried a couple of the previous versions of Whitestrips and I was due for a touch-up of my teeth. I was eager to see if the results would match that of the 2 week Whitestrips version.
My initial apprehension was that I was afraid that the 2 hour Whitestrips would make my teeth very sensitive as I have found that some of the previous types had done so. While I did also experience sensitivity after I had used the strips, it was not as sensitive as I had anticipated, given the increase in strength of the Whitestrips. Sensitivity is a subjective factor that I felt for me personally was bearable (as it was temporary), for the results that I got. Furthermore, I was happy to see that I would only have to do one treatment every 3 months as opposed to as many as 2 treatments a day for 2 weeks. For anyone who has ever used whitening strips, they can definitely appreciate the efficiency and convenience of this, as it is both time-consuming and uncomfortable to wear these strips for long periods of time in one's mouth, so minimizing the amount of time using these strips was a plus.
Also while $54.99Can may seem like a steep cost up front, when you take into account the fact that the 4 provided treatments could last up to 12 months, it is actually quite a bargain. Most whitening treatments are sold for approximately that price and are usually 3 month treatments.
In short, I was impressed with this new 2 hour version and will probably be purchasing it again. While you should be wary of it if you have particular teeth sensitivities (in that case, consult your dentist before using these), for most people it should not bother them too much.
All in all, a great addition by Crest to their whitening line.

I love NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna - although it's intimidating in the pan, it delivers a gorgeous, believable bronze that is hard to overdo - an impressive feat on a pale face like mine. I usually use this to contour my face as it's an amazing way to bring out my cheekbones without looking like I tried too hard while delivering a little warmth and colour to the face.
This best part about this bronzer is that it is pigmented and therefore you do not need a lot of it (economical!) which is nice as it is from mid to high range in cost, in my opinion.
While NARS only has 2 different colours - I think that Laguna can work for an impressive range of skintones, from pale to medium, while their Casino bronzer is great for darker skintones.
I would definitely recommend trying this out and make sure to use a good brush (a fluffy bronzing/cheek brush) to maximize its use!

Firstly, I think the colour is generic enough to cover most types of dark brown hair. I do think that not enough product is given, (thus the low rating on the price of the product) since people with longer roots or thicker hair will not get sufficient coverage with the amount provided. Further, I left it in longer than the recommended time as my roots are almost black while the rest of my hair is dark brown and for me personally, it did not lighten my roots sufficiently to create a seamless transition between roots and the bottom of my hair. While I do not feel like my hair has become dryer, I definitely do not detect any enhancement in the condition of my hair, despite its built-in conditioning. While this is the first root touch up product I have ever used, as I usually redo my whole head when I redye my hair, it has not wowed me nor has it made me decide to switch over and use root touch ups in the future. It just does not have anything exceptional about the quality, for example there is no added shine or multidimension to the colour which while it is not advertised as such a product, it is what I am looking for in a hair dye, whether it be for all of my hair or solely for my roots. Lastly, the brush in my opinion was nothing new or innovative, and was a little small in that it took much longer to cover my whole head as the ones that I usually use have wider brush heads. -

It has been a while since I've coloured my hair, (approximately 1.5 years) - and it shows. My roots have grown below my ear (yikes!) but because the colour is not too different then my natural colour, it isn't that noticeable, and at most, it looks like I'm jumping on the 'ombre hair' trend (which I'd like to think I started, j/k). Nonetheless, I was very pleased with trying something new from the Product Review Club to give myself an overall even colour.
The thing that concerned me was the difference between my very long roots and the bottom of my hair, but since the dye would be matching the lower half (I went slightly lighter than my roots which are normally very dark brown), the dye ended up evening the two out adequately.
With only a 10 minute soak, this is definitely a time efficient product - although usually I wait until my roots grow too long in which case, I normally soak my roots for a longer period of time then the ends. With a 10 minute timeframe, I wasn't too comfortable adding too much time onto the roots, but fortunately the colour change was not drastic, so I did not receive a noticeably uneven result.
The dye itself was substantialy thicker than I'm used to from other previous home hair dyes that I've used, which meant that it took more arm power to work it throughout my hair, but it was sufficient in covering my long hair.
While I'll be interested to see how it fades over the next month, as it is a demi-permanent dye that is supposed to last through 28 shampooings, I personally do look for a longer-lasting dye when I am dying my hair only because I want to minimize the damage from hair dye and thus would like to maximize the length of time between applications. This was not marketed for a longer-lasting period so I did not take this into account when I assessed the quality of the dye - but it was just something that would affect my decision in repurchasing this.
Overall I am impressed with its efficacy and efficiency as well as its minimal damage on my hair quality along with its comparatively pleasing scent when applying it. I did not notice a substantial difference in terms of shininess although I definitely did not see a dulling effect so that was a plus in my books. If you're looking for a hair dye that is relatively safe (aka not permanent) this is a very good one that is also very easy on the hair and has a comprehensive range of shades in my opinion.

The first time I smelt this perfume I knew this was a keeper. It was young, fresh, soft and perfect for an everyday spritz - something that I had been on the lookout for. Normally, I like the unconventional, but the best thing about perfumes are that they react differently to everyone's chemical body composition and thus smells differently on everyone so you get a truly unique scent. This suits my daily needs and I definitely recommend people try this on themselves! -

I have not stepped foot into a Body Shop in the last 5 years, despite working across from one - it just didn't really appeal to me from the outside, but I think now I have to change my mind.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was chosen to be a reviewer (Thanks!) for the Product Review Club especially since it's the time of year when my skin is in its worst shape.
First off, the smell was pleasant - kind of hard to describe but definitely not overpowering and it dissipated after it was absorbed into the skin which I like alot. I also found that it was not greasy at all, which I assumed it would be considering its called a body 'butter'. Fast absorbing, it wins points for convenience in application and its pretty big so its not too convenient for travel - although I think it might come in a smaller size?
Personally I have extremely dry skin that easily gets exacerbated by the weather, so although I think this would be great for normal skin, it wasn't quite as moisturizing as I had hoped for. It helped to keep my skin moisturized in areas that weren't overly dry and my skin was not sticky after application. I might use this more in the summer, but for Canadian winters, I'm still going to need something a little more moisturizing.
