I was excited to receive the A2 milk free in exchange for my honest opinion.
I was surprised how little difference I noticed between my traditional milk and the A2. The taste and consistency are virtually the same. The only difference I really noticed is it is a bit pricier than my regular milk. I would definitely recommend anyone who gets tummy upset with dairy to try this milk. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!
I am thrilled and did not notice any discomfort after trying it.

I received a free coupon for Breyers Non Dairy Cookies & Creme to trial. I really enjoyed both the flavour and texture of this product and found it very similar to regular icecream. A few pros of the product were it's great taste, the fact it's made from almonds, it was not too sweet (I have experienced too sweet often in dairy free) and it froze very well. The downside was it wasn't quite as creamy as dairy icecream (although easily forgotten after a couple bowls!) and I also found it quite expensive at $10.99. Overall I quite liked this product and would definitely eat it again. -

I mixed/shook some Mott's Mr & Mrs T Mai Tai Cocktail Mix with 1oz spiced rum and some ice - made a nice drink that didn't have any lingering artificial taste that I sometimes find with similar brands. The citrus was a great splash to mix with - I got lucky on my first try and found the perfect ratio (3oz mix: 1 oz rum).
I really enjoyed it and would recommend and serve to friends!

Mott's Mr & Mrs T Blue Raspberry Martini Cocktail Mix makes a sweet and tasty drink.
I mixed it with crushed ice, 2oz vodka and 3:1 mix to carbonated water (I read that some people found the mix a bit too sweet so I added a little carbonated water).
The raspberry flavour brought back memories of those 10 cent freezy treats I shamingly grew up with as a kid - now the nice cold mix of vodka and ice brings a smile to my face. A great enjoyable summer (adult) treat!

I received 3 of the Brookside Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bars (different flavors) from Chick Advisor to review.
Cranberry with Blackberry Flavour:
Another not so good bar (see my other review for Cherry with Pomegranate).
For the life of me, I couldn't find even find the word blackberry listed in the ingredients. Anyone?
Just like the other 2 bars I reviewed, this one has a ton of sugar in it - a whopping 13g out of the 39g bar (33% sugar!!).
This bar also tasted like it was made yesterday, yet I wasn't born 24hrs ago. It's unfortunate that Brookside fails to provide a healthy bar (imo). Get rid of the concentrate fruit juices, the sweetened fruit, and the sweetened chocolate.
I'm trying to eat healthy and cut out refined sugars. Replace your sugar with honey, cut back your dark chocolate and give me unsweetened 70% cocoa dark chocolate. Sure it may not taste as fantastic, but after a few bars and a low sugar diet, the palate adapts and no longer requires something soooooo sweet.
These bars do taste good, but so does candy. We need to be more selective and educated when it comes to the foods we eat. Enough with buzzword labels. Give me quality ingredients without compromise.
Good tasting bar, but I can't recommend it.

Blueberry with Açai Flavor:
Another not so good bar (see my other review for Cherry with Pomegranate).
For the life of me, I couldn't find Açai listed in the ingredients. Açai flavour? not according to the list of ingredients. I even checked their website. Crazy.
Just like the Cherry bar, this one has a ton of sugar in it - a whopping 13g out of the 39g bar (33% sugar!!).
This bar, like the other two, tasted very fresh (wow!) and very flavourful. It's unfortunate that Brookside fails to provide a healthy bar (imo). Get rid of the concentrate fruit juices, the sweetened fruit, and the sweetened chocolate.

Don't get me wrong, the bars do taste good, but so does a chocolate bar.
Angel on my shoulder says: eat something healthier.
Devil in my ear whispers: eat another bar.

I received 3 of the Brookside Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bars (different flavors) from Chick Advisor to review.
Cherry with Pomegranate:
I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed in this bar. Did it taste great? Oh it sure did. Did I eat the whole thing. Yup :-(
So why the sad face?
At first glance, the packaging for this fruit and nut bar is attractive, with about half of the front using a clear window to display the bar. (I like seeing what I'm about to eat/buy - as opposed to a picture of the product that some other bars use where they blow up the picture to show the healthy ingredients.) Looks good! But hold on a sec.
I read the label and notice some oddities. "Made with real fruit" with the french version below reading "fait de vrai jus de fruit" - not quite the same saying real fruit in english and real fruit juice (from concentrate btw) in french. Which is it? Let's flip the bar over and read the ingredients.
Almonds. Organic? No. And not a deal breaker. Dark Chocolate? Yes but sweetened with sugar- and it doesn't say what % of cocoa. So? Well, for dark chocolate to have real health benefits, it needs to contain 70-85% cocoa. Oh well.
2 strikes. Still here? Cool.
The ingredients go on to list sweetened cherries (cherries, sugar), high maltose corn syrup, sweetened cranberries (more sugar!) and even lists sugar as a main ingredient.
Total sugar for the 39g bar? 13g. Ugh. It took me 5 bites to eat this fruit & nut bar, and it tasted sweet (aka tasted really good), but felt more like i was eating a dessert (heck, the bar is 33% sugar!)
Like any busy health conscious chick, I'd like to take full responsibility for what I eat. I'm trying to cut out refined sugars from my diet (with my ultimate goal to even cut sugar from my coffee...arg - so tough!!) - so I unfortunately have to say that this bar, although it tasted great, struck out.
Brookside's Dark Chocolate Cherry with pomegranate fruit and nut bar is trying to look healthy. Non-GMO, gluten free buzzwords: check. Natural flavour label: check. Dark chocolate: check. But look a little closer and you'll see its mostly sugar and definately falls short on providing a healthy snack alternative.
But hey, if this isn't meant to be a healthy snack - then I guessI can say pardon me, my bad. After all, I probably could've eaten two (maybe 3).
Pros:
- non gmo
- source of fibre
- tasted great, a bit too sweet though.
- rice crisps are a nice touch and provide a neutral taste barrier between ingredients.
- chocolate: mmmmm.
- one of the freshest tasting bars I've ever eaten, as if it was just made the other day.
Cons:
- too much sugar
- dark chocolate didn't list cocoa % so is likely of no health benefit
- fruit is all sweetened and label read as real fruit (juice) but is from concentrate

Love this. Perfect blend of crispiness and soft potato. Great as a treat and satisfies the crunchy cravings.
