I received a gift card so that I could review this product. I ordered a Blizzard Cake online (Mud Slide). I found the website easy to use. The site gives you the option to select a store near your area first (which is good), but it turns out that selection varies from store to store (not so good). The first location I selected had only 6 Blizzard Cakes to choose from. I didn't realize there were more options until I noticed an ad for other cakes. I switched locations to get a better selection (almost double the options were at this location). It would be better if the site showed you all the options available and allowed you to choose the location after deciding what you want. I called in to ask if it was possible to do half one cake and half of another, I was told it was possible but I would have to come into the store and talk to the manager. I didn't opt for that. I ordered the cake online, opted for a message to be written on the cake, and chose white icing.
When I picked up the cake it was easy and quick. The only thing is that what I ordered is not what I received. I had chosen white icing to be used to write a message on the cake, but red gel was used instead. While this isn't a big deal, they should either follow the customer's request or contact them to let them know their request is not possible. As someone who takes the bus it was challenging to transport the cake. I was given a paper bag which basically covered the cake, but I had to cradle it in my arms as it basically wrapped around the cake and there was no way to use it as a carrier (no handles). They should provide bags with handles so the cake is easy to carry.
I brought the cake into my class to share (for no special occasion). Everyone enjoyed it. I personally did not like the cake, but others said they really liked it. It tasted like a bowl of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, with a bit of (stale) extras (brownies, caramel sauce, etc.). I'd opt for buying tubs of ice cream in the future and using fresh toppings rather than ordering a cake.
The only thing I would recommend is that if you want to get a cake don't bother ordering it online, you can find them already made in store and you can tell them what you want written on it store (and avoid mistakes). If I ever opted to get another ice cream cake, I would not bother pre-ordering it. But I am not likely to ever get another cake from DQ. If you like ice cream cake I'd say go for it (although I think Baskin Robbins has better cakes to be honest), but otherwise I don't recommend it.

This toothbrush really surprised me. I took one look at the giant brush and I thought there was no way it could possible be better than my Sonicare toothbrush. This brush was actually better in a lot of ways. The bristles cleaned my teeth really well and the back of the brush is meant to clean the tongue, but has the effect of cleaning out the entire mouth while brushing. One of my favorite things about it was the massaging bristles. I know massaging the gums is good for their health, but I never make time for it with my Sonicare. This brush does it while you brush, and it feels great. Having the tongue cleaner is a bonus. Actually a really awesome product. And a whole lot cheaper than my Sonicare and its replacement brush heads. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Sonicare toothbrush, but at this point I will probably have to alternate between both.

Love this mouthwash, it's simply amazing. I've been using it even before it came on the market in Canada after I discovered it on a trip to the US. The fact that it's alcohol free is a big plus (doesn't dry out the mouth or create a terrible sensation or effect like Listerine). But the thing that convinced me the most was the fact that you can see the results - literally. The product seems to bind to the yucky stuff in my mouth and forms a darker blue complex that you can see when you spit the rinse out. My mouth feels really clean after using it and my breath stays really fresh throughout the day. When I use it before bed I wake up without morning breath - that is pretty awesome.

I have mixed feelings about this product. The texture is really grainy and is not the most appealing sensation (but this may be the very feature that gives it its functionality). When it comes to performance it seems to clean my teeth really well, and I felt like it did a better job than my long time toothpaste (Colgate Total). This Crest toothpaste has a better flavour than past versions, which I found intolerable. I would say it's a really good product, but there is room for improvement. When you factor it along with the new Crest toothbrush and the Crest mouthwash, it's a winning combination if your goal is a clean fresh feeling in your mouth.

I received this as a freebie through Chick Advisor's Review Club.
First I should mention that there are only two criteria I have for a soap:
1. It should have a lovely scent (I'm partial to natural types like vanilla or coconut).
2. It should make my skin feel great.
Those are my criteria in that order. If the soap doesn't pass the first criteria then I don't care how good it makes my skin feel. I need to enjoy the scent while it does it's job. And I need to be able to catch a whiff of it throughout my day and it should make me smile.
Unfortunately this bar failed my first criteria and so it really didn't matter to me that is was a very moisturizing soap.
The scent is overpowering and very perfumey. I found the scent to be reminiscent of cheap perfume that is cloying and allergy inducing. I hated it to say the least. Even inside the box you can get a good whiff of it, so I recommend you have a smell before you buy to see if it appeals to you. If you don't mind the scent then you might love the bar. I could not tolerate the scent and so I only used it once.
Compared to bar soaps from The Body Shop or Lush this bar does not even come close and is not worth the buy.
If Dove decided to create a soap with a pleasant scent than I might consider switching. I have tried their other soaps (Cool Cucumber and Scent Free) and I was not impressed enough to switch brands.
On the positive, it is not drying and feels pleasant.

A couple of my favorite dishes are Golden Curry Shrimp and Thai Islamic Noodles (not on the menu but you can ask for it). Becuase of the insanity that is Salad Kind I don't actually go there more than a handful of times a year. I recommend take-out. And get an order of spring rolls. Their location at the Shops at Don Mills, a fine-dining version called Linda's, has the same menu, just smaller portions and way over-priced, so not really worth the ambiance. -

This chocolate is incredible. Amazing. Delicious and dangerous (to our waistline). I got this as a gift (I'm thinking the person really likes me or wants me to get fat. :) This is how the company describes it:
"A truly sophisticated harmony of tastes and textures that culminate in a crunchy almond pearl covered with dark chocolate. It’s a decadent delight created for the dark chocolate lover."
I like the regular Ferrero Rocher...but I LOVE this dark chocolate version. Warning: those with addictive personalities may want to avoid this product.
Based on the taste I would have guessed this was a high-end chocolate. But looking at the prices online, it's under $10. Awesome.

This is an amazing soap. The scent is really incredible and leaves a light fragrance on my skin for the rest of the day. It is triple milled French soap that is also exfolitating, which I adore. Because it lasts so long and is really fabulous I think it's worth the $8; also, it's a really big bar of soap. I'm a bit of a bar soap addict and this is my top pick for sure. It feels really luxurious. You can find it in speciality stores or at Anthro. This is a must try product. Love it. Love it. Love it. C'est magnifique! -

I love this soap and it's one of my faves. However, I have to give it a poor rating on price. As they price it by weight, it's hard to describe. But compared to the size of a small bar of Dove soap this would cost you about $10. The scent is addictive, seriously. It tends to stay on your skin for quite a bit, and it makes that bathroom smell amazing. However, factor in that it seems to be melting in your handsas you use it in the shower, and it starts to feel like your pennies are slipping down the drain. I love it but unfortunately I can't justify spending $20 a month on bar soap. Not going to happen. I did pick up some in their after Christmas sale. If you are a big spender and can afford I suggest you buy a big brick of it and stash it outside of the shower to avoid full on melting. When comes to buying expensive soaps I stick with French milled ones that last longer or the Body Shop's which don't have the melt factor. But no other product has Rock Star's unbelievable scent. Try it once just for that. -
