The palettes shades are a warm dusky rosy natural eye look. The shadows range in color from dusky pinks to taupe, and beautiful rich browns. The Ready Shadow formula is beautifully textured. It’s velvety, buttery, and smooth! It applies easily on lids without fall out issues. Colors are pigmented, beautifully textured, and just so easy to apply. Sometimes Ready Shadow has frosty finish but I had no issues with too much frost! Yay! This palette happens to include the Natural High Blush which is my favorite shade of Ready Blush! If you don’t own you’ll be delighted with this golden peach shade that’s as lovely as NARS Orgasm. All three Ready Blush shades have a dense texture but apply flawlessly on cheeks with an even, seamless finish and beautiful pigmentation and long wear. The Luminizer shade is velvety and applies just a touch of golden bronze-y glow to cheeks with a soft, buttery texture that blends out easily. This set does contain a few shades you might already own from the permanent range so just check your stash prior to purchase. However, if you’re new to the Bare Minerals Ready world this is the palette you’ll want to introduce you to the line. The Bare Minerals The Magic Act Eye & Cheek Palette brings together beautifully textured, high quality eyeshadows and blushes in one easy to use palette that will create timeless looks for use everyday! This is a palette that’s perfect for those that want an elegant makeup look but don’t want to spend hours creating that look! -

Pixi Undercover Crayon launches as the perfect time as the weather is JUST starting to warm up and I’m starting to lighten up my makeup routine. I think blushing cheeks, a little mascara, and dash of tinted moisture and just the barest hint of brightening concealer is plenty for my Summer makeup routine. This little crayon gives me just the right amount of brightening power without over doing my makeup. Loves it! If you already like and use the Correction Concentrate you can think of the peach shade of Undercover Crayon as a portable version of it as the colors are quite similar (the crayon is a smidge lighter)! The formulas are different though as I find the crayon a little less creamy. It is a fairly dense pencil at first pass but warms up quickly enough and goes nicely creamy. As I said it does run drier though so if you have dry eyes you’ll want to prep well prior to use for the best glide and application. It sets to a satin finish under my eyes but doesn’t crease or fade easily and never looks cakey. On my medium fair skin the peach shade is actually pretty freaking amazing. I wouldn’t say it’s super pigmented nor would I say it acts as a concealing product it does however, brighten up eyes dramatically. I have larger eyes that dominate my face and they tend to look tired without proper coverage. A little dash of this under my eyes and suddenly I’m looking like I had 12 hours of rest or at the least a week off at a tropical resort somewhere with nothing to do other than stare at the water! It just perks up eyes dramatically. Personally I like using it on natural no makeup days. A little tinted moisturizer, a little cheek stain, and a bit of Undercover Crayon under my eyes and I’m looking all kinds of fresh and fabulous. It’s easy enough though, should you like, to use as a partner in crime to your concealer. First apply your first, allow it to set, now follow up with a quick swipe of Undercover Crayon! Pat, blend, and BOOM instant brightening power! -

A reader suggested that baby nail clippers are small enough to fit in my makeup bag and quite friendly to stop the insanity of nasty cuticle habits and she was right! I simply clip back any skin that I’m tempted to pick and follow up with a swipe of Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream to smooth things over. Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is a dense balm which turns emollient when warmed up. It’s thin and slightly oil but absorbs easily and doesn’t leave me oily. It actually prevents those dreaded hang nails from popping up as it hydrates the area so the skin is soft and smooth and not popping up and begging to be torn. If by chance one does pop up I simply snip it and apply a little bit of this to keep the area smooth and soft. Lemony Flutter is far more moisturizing and great for using in the evening but Burt’s formula is much more travel friendly for daily use when your nails and cuticle bed might be brittle or dry from the colder weather. Plus it smells delightfully tart and lemon lime-y! -

Ok, essentially this is kinda lacking in the Vitamin E and probably has more fragrance than Vitamin E but the texture is wickedly hydrating and works incredibly well for my drier skin and indeed makes me look like I had eight hours of rest when I only had four so I’ll take it What The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil does is creates a surface on your skin to help entrap moisture which in turn replenishes much needed hydration on your skin. The formula is a serum blended with a combination of oils. It’s easy to apply and absorbs fairly easily into skin as well and doesn’t have the heavier texture of a facial oil. The texture is kinda watery with an oil-like feel that’s a combination of a skincare serum and oil all in one thus bringing you the hydrating benefits of an oil but the quicker to absorb formula of a serum. It’s actually more hydrating to me than products like Argan Oil. It’s slick but doesn’t make me feel greasy or oily. Mind you it is most suitable for nightly use as it is too rich for using in the AM however, it does absorb fully and doesn’t leave an oily film behind. I find it adds a good deal of moisture which my drier skin sucks up. In the morning my lackluster skin looks more lively, rested, and youthful. Some will argue that the amount of fragrance in the product outweighs the actual benefits of the formula but I felt like it added a good deal of moisture to my thirsty skin and in fact made it look considerably less dull. Now it does have a fresher, pleasant scent but this might be too much for sensitive skin users. It comes housed in a bottle with a small dropper for application. It can be used as the first step your nightly regime after cleansing your face and followed up with any other products you use. Overall, I think the Body Shop did an excellent job with Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil. I only paid $14 for it during one of their many, many sales so you’ll likely never have to pay full price for it as they always have a great deal going on! -

Yes to Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Body Creme is a tart, sparkling grapefruit scented body cream with a rich, thick texture that moisturizes skin on contact. This is thick, creamy, and quick to absorb into skin and leaves my rough elbows, knees, and legs super soft after use with a delicate tart grapefruit scent that lingers in the background. Supposedly the formula attacks age spots, sun spots, and hyper pigmentation. The cream is formulated with masterwort and capsicum fruit extract to repair skin imperfections while grapefruit extract wars of free radicals and argan oil helps to fade spots. After receiving this I kinda had to check around my body and see if I had any discolorations but I don’t. So I’m wondering if it’ll help with a minor scar I have on my ankle as this is slightly discolored. Hmmm! I’m using it daily for the past two weeks but I prob need more time to see what happens. If nothing else it’s a rich body cream with excellent hydrating benefits. -

The blushes come housed in a clear compact featuring a very cute embossed daisy on the blush (by the way that design never wears away! I’ve been using my blushes since last year and they still have a cute daisy design!). Each blush is 0.12 oz in size with a smooth yet dense surface that reminds me of a patch of ice. I remember my first experience with them as I thought they’d be dry due to the dense texture. But surprisingly they yield intense color pay off that applies natural and pretty on cheeks. The smooth texture almost reminds me of a cream as they apply so seamless on skin and give a very natural finish. Since they have a thinner consistency they don’t accentuate or cling to drier areas. You can layer, build, and play with these to your heart’s content and never, ever overdo them as the color applies perfectly and naturally every single time (aside from Pansy Pop which actually applies very vibrantly!). These wear for a solid twelve hours in warm or cooler weather and always look fresh and intense as if I just applied them within the first hour of wear and well into the 10th and 11th and 12th hour of wear. -

Biore Moisture Cleansing Liquid is actually supposed to be a highly moisturizing formula and promises to restore moisture to skin while not stripping it. I’m always look for the most moisturizing cleansers because I feel so many make my skin tight or drier after use.
This is a jelly-like texture that’s considerably thicker than your average cleansing oil. Pump two or three times and massage it onto dry skin, rinse with water to remove makeup and dirt! Done! It’s a pretty simple and effective way to remove all your makeup quickly and easily. It isn’t like a typical cleansing oil as it doesn’t emulsify. It is however, a gentle cleansing gel that cleanses skin and leaves it soft and smooth. The texture feels nice and moist going on but I wouldn’t say it added a ton of hydration or moisture after rinsing off. On the upside it doesn’t trip skin and my skin feels soft and not tight and dry after using it. It does have a fresh floral fragrance that might not agree with sensitive skin but I thought it was pleasant.
It actually does a really good job removing eye makeup, even waterproof mascara, however, I find it stings a little when using it around my eye area so I just remove my eye makeup prior with an oil based eye makeup remover.
If you’re looking for a gentle cleansing gel that removes makeup effectively and easily without stripping I’d recommend Biore Moisture Cleansing Liquid! It’s just as lovely as the original Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover if not better!

This doesn’t create a ton of lather but there is some foam. It doesn’t feel like a silicone-free formula but still has the thicker gel consistency of a regularly formulated shampoo which I like. It rinses clean away easily and it leaves my hair not only smelling incredible but super, duper squeaky clean. I used it twice a week for the last month (you don’t need to use it that regularly, once a week is fine!) and it did an amazing job removing buildup left over from WEN and Carol’s Daughter. It rinses silicons from my hair and leaves it feeling very, very clean. And thankfully not like straw! I didn’t experience any drying with this and felt it was quite gentle on my drier hair without over stripping. Lush is great but some of their shampoos can leave my hair quite dry but Clairol’s formula seems to agree with my hair. Keep in mind after you wash away much of the buildup in your hair you’ll find your hair feels lighter and kinda “wispy” which can make it a chore to style at times. But personally, I don’t mind in the least as sometimes you just really need to detox your hair and scalp and this formula does an excellent job of it.

These are actually a PENCIL! As in you need to sharpen them! A traditional lip pencil? Ha! Lipstick meets lip liner in this multitasking stick with a super duper creamy texture that glides across lips easily and flawlessly leaving behind opaque color on a single swipe. When I popped the cap and noticed they were a real pencil I had my doubts about the formula. I pictured these being dry and perhaps dense but nope Bobbi perfected the formula with a blend of shea butter that gives the formula a very, very creamy texture. I typically don’t like mattes but these were beautifully. They provide light moisture, beautiful intense pigment, and a flawless matte finish! The wear time is equally incredible as I can get about six hours of wear without color smearing, feathering, or fading! -

I think the thicker texture will be a turn off to some folks but personally I LOVE it. It has a SUPER glossy finish on my lips and keeps them soft and moisturized through the wear. I’ve taken to wearing it alone and on top of lip stains and lipsticks as well as it adds the perfect finish to my lipstick creating a mirror-like shine that’s breathtaking.
I admit the packaging makes it unfriendly to travel and touch up with. I wish they had put it in a tube of some sort as that would be way more friendlier to use and tote around.
Overall, I love this stuff packaging grief and all. If your lips are super dry or you’re looking for a super glossy finish to add to your lipstick Lavshuca Jelly Pot Essence is the way to go!
