I am already on my third bottle of this, but this is more like a facial oil and is meant to be mixed with your moisturizer to give your skin a bit of a boost. Odacite has a number of these serum concentrates, but the Acai Rose is my favourite because it gives a boost of moisture along with glow all the while being totally clean when it comes to the ingredients. It also smells lovely and while the price is a bit high, you only need 2-3 drops each time which means that one 5mL bottle can last up to 3 months! I adore this product and hope that it never ever goes away! -

How many times have you all seen "one step" and had it disappoint you? Countless times, right? Well, not THIS time because I was so floored when both hands were done and cured within 10 minutes. SERIOUSLY! Most gel polishes require a cured base coat, followed by two coats of polish and then a cured top coat to give that unmistakable gel polish shine. Both of these photos have NO TOP COAT. Ladies and gentlemen, what you are seeing is just the polish. Shining on its own! That bottle I am holding is the only bottle of anything I used!
Like any gel manicure, it is important to clean the nail beds of any oils using a lint-free wipe and alcohol. This is known as "dehydrating" the nail bed and helps the polish to stick. After doing this, I painted one thin coat of the deep purple SR7 (I wish the names were more fun and the bottles more descriptive of the shades inside because they all look the same!) and cured. I have an LED lamp, so I cured for 60 seconds. If you have a UV lamp, you will need 2 minutes. I painted another thin coat and cured for another 60 seconds. BAM! I was done. No wiping was needed because my nails were not sticky to the touch! Incredible, right?! I am just so impressed with these gel polishes and HIGHLY recommend them!

The Lise Watier Baiser Satin lipsticks are one of the most luscious formulas I have ever used! With a semi-matte finish the glides on smoothly, I don't ever find myself feeling the need to add moisture or exfoliate areas that are dry enough to peel! The initial finish of the Baiser Satins is fairly glossy, but over time does wear off to the promised satin finish. Don't get me wrong, I adore these lipsticks, but I do have one complaint and that it is that they move around more than I would like. Yes, the colour is long-lasting, but for some reason that satin finish makes colour transfer still a possibility. I found some on my chin after eating lunch so the it's not like the product hadn't had time to set. Maybe my lunch had oil in it? Regardless, don't let that stop you from trying these out because these are incredibly comfortable to wear while delivering some amazing colour! -

I have tried so many peppermint and mentholated lip balms over the years, but the Burt's Bees one reigns supreme! I go through maybe three a year, but it's just a necessity for me to have that it has pretty become part of the family. #notdependant -

This is a light and skin-like foundation whose formula was recently revamped last year. Unfortunately, I have no means of comparison as I have never tried the old formulation, but this new one is just DREAMY! The secret behind this formula appears to be a "Bio-Fusion micro mesh" that allows a proprietary blend of silk and natural linen fibers to smooth and hug the curves of the face to give a transparent and radiant finish. What you will notice right away about this foundation is the rose-scent. It's fairly strong, but does disappear once applied to the skin. The texture reminds me so much of a BB cream in that it is utterly lightweight, but has great coverage. It is fairly fluid in texture so application with fingers works as well as with a sponge or brush. I am a Beauty Blender gal, so I dot my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and that seems to cover everything!
This foundation was like a fine wine in that it looked better as the day went on. It really wore beautifully and just like it promised, seem to fuse right in with my skin. It was like My Skin But Better! I am just so pleased with the finish, wear time and how it invisible it feels on my skin. While this foundation caters more to lighter skin tones, I only hope that Guerlain adds some darker shades in the future because LDP is everything I would want in a foundation and then some. I wasn't wowed initially, but I'm glad I wore it for a whole day because I am now completely sold!

They swatch beautifully and feel not quite like a cream, but almost like a smooth primer because of the touch of dimethicone in the formula. As much as I love these, I wish the wear time was a little bit longer as I found the colour wearing around the 3 hour mark, but I suppose in the non-matte lipstick world (yes, there was a time!) this is actually not bad at all! The formula was comfortable on the lips and colour payoff was quite good for something that felt so weightless. -

Wear time is short like most balms, but are perfect for a neutral, no fuss lip. These Chubby Sticks come in a ton of shades and though they look quite sheer if swatched on the hand, I found a dramatic difference when applied to the lips. All of a sudden the colour just APPEARED! -

I assumed this was solely a sleeping mask to be used in place of my nightly moisturizer, but then I read the fine print again and this is truly a BOOSTER mask. On its own, this is a wonderful non-greasy moisturizer that starts off like a cream and then right at the end just when your skin is about to absorb the last bit of cream, you feel the last bit of water disappear right into your skin and then just SMOOTHNESS. It's almost spiritual really.
Wonderfluff is quite nice in the mornings when there is makeup to follow, but I definitely resort to the "booster" aspect at night when I need a bit of a moisture blast especially in Vancouver's unseasonably dry weather.
Though the ingredients list is long, I wouldn't be scared because if you look up every ingredient, they are mainly plant-based. It goes without saying that Acure does not use any parabens, phthalates or sulphates. I am actually quite happy with the ingredients and though this isn't one of those crazy aggressive treatments, I think this is going to be a wonderful way to anti-age gracefully into my mid-30s!

This cleaner is a clear micro-emulsion of oils, esters and water-compatible skin cleaners (notice it's cleaner NOT CLEANSER?) that act like an oil cleanser, but rinse off easily like a water cleanser. I have used true oil cleansers made of rosehip oil or sunflower oil and they definitely don't emulsify the same way as "hybrid" oil cleansers. These cleansers require a face cloth for removal as water and oil don't mix.
When it comes to cleansers, I'm not too picky about the ingredients because I am just going to wash it off anyway, but what I do look for is that it actually cleans my skin without drying it out. I am a double cleanser so this particular "cleaner" is always my first step. Initially, I didn't find this cleanser to be all that different than the other oil cleansers I was using, but now that I am almost finished the bottle I definitely have observations that I initially did not notice!
The first thing is the scent. Deciem products generally don't have a lot of scent and if you look at the ingredients list, you will not find the words "phthalates" or "fragrance". What you smell is what you get so I would describe this cleaner as having a somewhat "inert" scent. Though Deciem has never marketed themselves as a green beauty brand, seeing plant oils in what I deem more to be a "technical" brand sits true to my own skincare routine as I believe green beauty and science go very well together!
Texture and consistency were just like water and when water is added, turns this cleaner milky white. This is safe to use on the eyes and if you do have makeup on, start with dry skin and massage the cleaner around to first emulsify your makeup and then add water to rinse off. The second observation I made about this cleaner is that it IS actually highly efficient! I have one luxury oil cleanser that works similarly to this one, but because it contains mineral oil, takes just a little bit longer to rinse off with water. This cleaner needs less than 5 splashes and my face is clean (extra splashes for heavier eye makeup not included!). It also doesn't leave my skin feeling quite as oily as the thicker oil cleansers that require a cloth to remove. It seems to have taken the best qualities of all cleansers and transformed itself into this little gem of a cleanser!
I'm glad I gave this cleanser a chance because at this point it's hard to be impressed by a cleanser. There aren't a lot of ways to revolutionize the cleanser formula, so if you are using one that works for you whether it'd be cream, oil or gel, stick with it, but if you are looking for a change especially if you are currently using a luxury oil cleanser, this is a price point you should look into. I think the ingredients are more targeted in purpose in this cleanser than what I was using before and have already purchased a second bottle!
