I was thrilled to receive the Nivea 3-in-1 Gentle Cleansing Wipes through the product review club.
These cleansing wipes are awesome.
They are effective even on waterproof mascara and foundation but gentle enough to use as a quick refresh in the morning or when not wearing makeup.
The scent is light and not overwhelming.
They leave your skin feeling soft, fresh and moisturized , no harsh or drying chemical type feeling or residue.
The resealable package actually works!! I hate facial wipes that dry out because the package won't stay closed!
This product works perfectly for me and it has a place in my regular skin care routine.
#LOVEit definitely #NIVEAMustHaves

I received the Brookside Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bars from the Product Review Club.
These initial comments are relevant to all 3 flavours and flavour specific comments are below.
My first impression was that they looked amazing. I really liked the transparent packaging. The Visual appeal of the bars is strong with quality ingredients being prominently displayed.
The portion size is good although $2.00 a bar is a too high in my opinion.
They use lots of buzzwords like Gluten Free, High Fibre, Source of Antioxidant, All Natural Flavours etc. based on the marketing and packaging of the bars, I believed that I was getting a really healthy, wholesome bar that I could feel good about eating.
After tasting the bars and reading the ingredient list I'm not so sure that's true. Look closely at the ingredients and you will find that almost 50% of the bars main ingredients are or include high sugar components. (The ingredients are more or less the same for each of the 3 flavours)
(Ingredient #2) Dark Chocolate (sugar; Chocolate; Cocoa Butter; Milk Fat; Cocoa Processed With Alkali; Soy Lecithin; Milk; Salt; Vanilla)
Sweetened Blueberries (blueberries; Sugar)
High Maltose Corn Syrup
Sweetened Cranberries (CRANBERRIES; Sugar; Grape Juice Concentrate; Blueberry Juice Concentrate; Sunflower Oil)
Invert Sugar
Sugar
I think its important to be fully aware of the true nature of a product rather than the presented nature of a product. If you are buying this bar because you think its a super healthy alternative to some of the other popular snack options you may be mistaken.
The Cherry Pomegranate flavour was awful. I was really surprised to see all of the positive reviews for this flavour. There is nothing natural tasting about this bar. If I didn't know better I would have thought the fruit pieces were dark chocolate covered cherry nibs. This particular bar couldn't even be redeemed by the whole almonds and pumpkin seeds that I had loved previously. This was a huge disappointment.

The Cranberry Blackberry flavour was OK. As with the pomegranate and acai the blackberry is present as “flavour only”. I find the intensity of the sweetness to be hard to get past and it takes away from the highlights of the bar. love the whole almonds and the pumpkin seeds, I love the texture and the crunch of the bars, and I love the visual appeal of the product. I wish the fruit was not soaked in sugar and I wish that high maltose corn syrup was not used as the binding agent. The dark chocolate is the second listed ingredient on the bars and its flavour is completely lost among the rest of the sweetness.

Blueberry Acai was the flavour I enjoyed the most of the three. Blueberry Cranberry may be a better description however. It was the least sweet and most natural tasting. I wish the fruit was not soaked in sugar and I wish that high maltose corn syrup was not used as the binding agent. Just writing this review makes me feel the pain all over again.
When it comes to my legs, waxing is my hair removal method of choice, and I've become pretty efficient at doing it myself in the comfort of my home.
I'm not sure why I took the risk and purchased wax strips from Veet again.I had bought another version of their strips last year and it was a disaster of epic proportions. I'm an optimist though, and I thought maybe it was just me the first time around.
I am quite sure now that it is not just me.
The first thing I noticed was that for a product formulated for sensitive skin and that boasts natural inspiration and ingredients the fragrance was heavy. The main ingredient is pine tree resin, and has aloe added as well. It doesn't smell like pine trees or aloe.. its more like tropical apple, which would be OK if it wasn't quite so strong.
I warmed up the wax by rubbing it in my hands and the strips came apart easily. So far so good.
I smoothed it onto my leg, gave it a couple of rubs as directed and pulled.
My first thought was.. wow that didn't hurt at all!
And then I saw why... the paper was clean.. no hair, no wax, just paper.
All of the wax was there on my leg...mocking me for having fallen back into the Veet Wax trap.
Getting the wax of my leg was not pretty or fun so I will spare you the details.
There are lots of great brands of wax that work really, really well.
This is not one of them.
Save your money and your skin by learning from my multiple mistakes.

I was Skeptical when I saw the Maybelline New York Dream Blender.
The stick threw me off and I anticipated a very awkward makeup application.
I was so wrong!
It was really easy, the application was smooth and blending was a breeze. The point is perfect for working around the eyes, nose, lips and for adding extra coverage where needed. The Dream Blender stick allowed the sponge to sort of roll and glide across the skin effortlessly.
I ended up with perfect coverage and a flawless finish, that took very little time to achieve.
The price point is spot on and I'm a fan of easy, no nonsense makeup and products, so I'm more than happy to recommend the Dream Blender to others, and will purchase it again myself.

I was pleasantly surprised by Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation!
At this point in the year dry/combination skin is a problem for most of us and because of that, I tend to avoid matte finish makeup in the winter. I find that because I don't need a ton of coverage I often mix my usual foundation with a moisturizer for that extra boost of hydration. The Dream Velvet Foundation eliminates this necessity.
The foundation itself is gel based and leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated all day long. I've been wearing if for three days now and have tried it over a hydrating serum, my go to no frills coconut oil, and also a basic daytime moisturizer. It worked well over all of them and I didn't experience dryness of any sort.
The Dream Velvet Foundation was easy to apply both with and without a foundation sponge.
The formula itself is very lightweight and provides even, flawless coverage. I really don't feel like I'm wearing foundation at all and I'm loving the natural look it provides.
The other attribute that's worth noting is that it actually seems to look better as the day goes on.
I liked it when I was at home after the initial application, but I loved it when I checked it out while out in the real world.
Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation has officially replaced my old foundation. I am happy to recommend it and look forward to seeing others love it as much as I do.

I've been ranting a bit lately about how Winter is on a mission to destroy my skin. Its dry, it hurts, it looks awful, and its made me step up my skincare regime in a big way!
My lips have taken a big hit and I went through a ton of products before I remembered my old friend Carmex Original.
I don't love the packaging, its a little dated, and doesn't have visual appeal we expect from most product packaging today, but that's OK! and here's why:
It Works!!
1. A little goes a long way
It glides on smoothly and it doesn't take much.
I don't know about You but I don't want to walk around with goop covered lips, and I don't want to have to reapply every 10 minutes.
One thin application will set you up for hours of carefree moisturizing bliss!
2. Intense moisturizing properties
Its got lots of great ingredients like cocoa butter and menthol to hydrate and cool your winter ravaged lips.
The website offers lots of information about what they use and why, tips and tricks, as well as some offers and reviews.
Here's what the don't tell you: One of the key ingredients used in this product is lanolin. Lanolin is derived from sheep's wool and is used in many cosmetics and consumables. It has some incredible properties and is a key ingredient in this product. On the website it is simply listed as a natural product (which it is). If you are new to Vegan/Vegetarian culture this might not catch your attention, so do your due diligence and check out the uses and practices behind it if this is an area of concern for you.
3. Moisturizing is great, healing is better!
I love that I can use this product for a day or two and experience a total lip transformation. Dry, cracked skin is restored to baby soft virtually overnight. I love that the results are fast, effective and consistent.
By using Carmex Lip Balm you are doing your lips a favor and that winning smile will be back and brighter than ever!

These are great! I wouldn't classify them as "spicy" but the flavour is good and they were nice and crispy. They were certainly a nice change from the usual bag of fries, and McCain has always been a brand I have bought and trusted.

I really wanted to love this product. I have been looking for a durable nail polish for ages and its just not happening for me!
I work with my hands all day long making jewellery so i may be harder on my nails than most others.
I have tried the gel setter with an essie brand base coat and colour, and I have tried it with an other brand as well. Its really made no difference in durability. Within 2 hours my polish was chipped and I was reaching for the remover.
If you are easier on your hands than I am, this product may work well for you.
It goes on smoothly, dries quickly and has a beautiful high gloss sheen.
I think its worth a shot, but it doesn't work miracles.
