I received Mojito Lip Palm from Malin & Goetz in my Ipsy same package and overall I am happy with the results. Here are the deets!
- Goes on nice and smooth and it comes out of a application tip with a little squeeze. What I like about this compared to a standard stick is that it is always a fresh spot to go on my lips
- This lip balm is not sticky which is nice!
- color wise it is completely clear, so it doesn`t add any color to your lips (or your favorite shade of lipstick
All in all, a solid choice of lip balm if you are looking for moisture but no color!

I received a sample of the Hada Labo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask through Ipsy and applied the mask and set the timer for 15 minutes. I tend to have minor skin irritation problems with toners and certain skin care lines I was cautiously optimistic about this one because it did say that it is fragrance free, non irritating an dfor all skin types.
Here, in a full bullets, is my experience:
- definitely fragrance free! - check!
- definitely non irritating, even for irritable skin line mine - check!
- After the 15 minutes, definately my skin was hydrated and soft - check check!
- anti-aging? Too soon to tell after one application, but the fact that it didn't create any issues for me, and was extremely hydrating
Would I use it again? Definately!

I have an online retail boutique, and I was initially approached by a consultant of Optimera to see if I was interested in carrying any more lines. I wasn't really interested in carrying a skin care product, but I am always open and interested in talking to new people about their products and business, so we had a quick meeting.
I was given the product for seven days to see how I felt about it and at the end of the seven days, here is the rundown on my experience with this product. There is plenty of information out there if you are looking for the breakdown of what is in the product, but Id like to talk about my experience with the rep and how it worked on my skin.
The pros:
- very easy one step application. You are not dealing with a number of different jars, products and steps.
- Earthy smell. it doesn't smell like it is full of chemicals or preservatives. it has an appealing earthy scent that is appealing to me
- I had no issues tolerating the product. No rashes, no irritation. I wasn't cautious about my eyelids, I put it all over my face and had zero issues.
- My skin felt nourished and hydrated. It is without question a good product.
- We took before and after pictures, and there were some small positive changes in my skin over the course of the week
The cons:
- Price point was high for me, and was my only barrier to buying the product. The day cream is in the $40 range and the night cream in the $90 range. So you are paying in the neighborhood of $130 a month for this program. Its a good investment in yourself and it works - but for me, I wasn't unhappy enough with my current product or my current skin condition to make the leap. I currently pay about $65 a month for my skincare program so this would be doubling my investment.
In conclusion
If you are looking for an awesome product that works well, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. My experience with the consultant was good. Low pressure, I had the opportunity to try it and I did like it. I just wasn't ready to make the leap to that price point. If you are, my experience with the product was positive.

If you watch Lion's Den, you are likely familiar with TrendTrunk. A Canadian company, this website provides an alternative to cleaning out your closets to traditional consignment stores or Ebay.
With a free membership, you can upload pictures right from your iphone into their database, and there is no cost to list, so you can upload as much as you want. When your item sells, TrendTrunk takes 20% of the profit, and 80% goes back to you, to either check out, or to shop the many closets that are on TrendTrunk.
Another plus, is that all prices are shown with shipping included.
If you list an item for $20, TrendTrunk automatically shows the price as $28 (including shipping). When your item sells, TrendTrunk instantly emals you a shipping slip You print it out, tape it to the package and bring it to Canada Post. Easy peasy!
Much like Ebay, there is also a rating system. Once the transaction is done, the buyer and seller rate each other, so you have some insight into whether your potential buyers or sellers are reliable.
If you aren't on TrendTrunk already, I highly recommend checking it out both to buy and sell. My only disappointment with this site is that some of the people in this community want to haggle all the time, which does kind of piss me off. We are all on there to buy and sell so I think people need to respect other people's circumstances. If you don't like the price - move on :) Its not TrendTrunk's fault, but there seems to be more hagglers that I am use to on other online classifieds/auction sites. However, I buy and sell on there quite a bit, and as you can see from my rating, its all aces in my mind. A few hagglers won't ruin my fun, but I wanted to give you a heads up.
Cheers,
Carrie

I am madly in love with this brand, both as a retailer and a consumer.
In Vein Leggings, primarily are cotton blends - 95% cotton, 5% Spandex, and what I love about them is how much abuse they have endured from me, and how they just keep holding on.
I have lost weight, gained weight (and still squeezed my hams into them) and I wash them in the washing machine (always in cold) instead of handwashing, and I hang them over a chair to dry, and after almost a year, they have not yet deteriorated, faded, piled, split. chaffed or bagged out at the knees, bum or anywhere else. No piling - not yet anyway.
These are a fashion product, not an active wear product, but I am guilty of taking my cotton blend leggings on many hikes in Kananaskis, and same thing -- they hold up. At the end of my treck, they are not bagging or sagging.
As a customer, I have worn these long hours to trade shows, and they look just as good at the end of the day, as they do at the begining of the day. Let's be honest, when I take them off, I can still see my butt print in them when I am holding them up at the waist, but when I put them on, I don't have to keep hiking them up.
Also, the added bonus, is almost every time I wear these out, some random gal asks me about them. They stand out, because in conservative Calgary, they stand out. I am not too fancy. I usually have flat boots or my uggs on with a long tunic to cover my arse and women of all ages will ask me about them at Starbucks, Safeway or wherever I am.
As a retailer, I have three suppliers who provide me this outstanding product, and all three of them are an ABSOLUTE pleasure to deal with. Also, I have not had a single pair of these returned ot me by a customer. Not. One. Everyone who buys them either LOVES them, or hasn't hated them enough to complain or return them.

Much to our excitement and nervousness, we bought our engagement ring off of Ebay's Panaveli Designs. The reason why we had a trust factor was because of the positive feedback on the products. Also, when we checked the site, there was an address, so we figured if we could hypothetically walk in there and buy it, online should work well.
Once we ordered the ring, I had it shipped to the office so that it didn't get held up at a courier desk, and when Panaveli Deisgns got notification that it was received, they contacted me right away to ensure it was in my hands (great customer service).
The ring itself was BEAUTIFUL! In order to insure it in Canada, I had to do a separate appraisal in Canada. Honestly, I was a little nervous, because I had that little voice in the back of my head that suggested that I was going to find out it was worth $5. The reality is, every single thing that was claimed on the site was true. The metal, the CCC of the diamonds - all of it was a match.
I have recommended Panaveli to many men, and couples in the market for a ring. The prices are almost too good to believe, and the quality exceeded my expectations.

I am madly in love with this curling iron. Madly. In. Love.
First, let me tell you what this product is dealing with...... I have long, dry, thin, naturally frizzy hair. With the help of many high end hair products, such as frizz reducers and curl enhancers, I can half baked turn my frizz into loose curls, but it does not necessarily create a "style". So, I usually resort to either a curling iron to tame the beast, or a flat iron to annihilate it.
I was commenting at work to a friend of mine that I need to go in for a haircut, because it is getting more and more unruly. She recommended that I get the curl secret and she gave me the 10-second skinny on how awesome it is. She told me the price (around $100) and I took her even more seriously, because she has the income, but is not the type of person to spend money frivolously. If she was recommending and using a $100 curling apparatus, it was worth paying attention to. And... her hair always looks good, so that was another reason to perk up.
The short story is that I am very happy with the product. It creates these perfect, bouncy curls and for me, it also creates VOLUME. For the best results, you need to use small sections of hair. But once you are done, you can shake it out, run your fingers through and you have a full-on head of orderly curls.
It is easy to use once you get the hang of it. It does occasionally "jam" but it is often when I get cocky and start going to quickly and not brushing the knots out of my section of hair. When it happens, it is pretty easy to get your hair out of it, learn your lesson and start over on that small section.
I am famous for buying little appliances to make my life easier, and I have bought and gave away/filed away many. This one I have used almost daily and now my flat iron and regular barrelled curling iron is collecting dust for the time being. I am sure I will pull them out again, but I am having too much fun with my new Curl Secret.
