QUO eye shadow has been my go-to eyeshadow for the past ten years, and while the colors have changed vastly, I still (STILL) am rocking one I purchased literally a decade ago, and its still as awesome as the day I got it. This one pictures is called Elektronika and it goes on either SUPER BLUE or so subtly with a shimmer of sparkle; SO awesome for a "light smokey" eye effect, as in winter with the bright white snow then frosty light blue snowy eye shadow..
I know, I know, replace makeups often and regularly so as to avoid contamination. I do that with mascaras and lip stuff, but for anything that is applied with a brush, I was the brush after every single application so as to never contaminate the pot of makeup.
And, unfortunately, after going to Shopper's the other day I cannot find the extreme colors Quo used to make; rather they seem pretty subdued now, but hey still a great brand !
Further - QUO is a Canadian brand and I will always, ALWAYS support Canadian brands first above any other country's brands.

I notice that the day After I use this, I get quite a few more whiteheads because its working to draw out impurities. Then the day after that, my skin is awesome.
I use this as a spot treatment too overnight or while I'm just sitting around.
And honestly, I LOVE how it makes your face blue and I pretend I am in the fifties haha

The colours I bought are intense so I only use them for "bold" days and toes, so they last a lot longer than my "fingernail" polishes, but mine are now TEN YEARS OLD and are just as good as the day I bought them!
My nail polish tends to run out if I like it or turn gooey if I don't use it up within 3-4 years, but these are Perfect still! They NEVER got even remotely thicker; they still dry in under a minute, and only one coat is needed (two for super bold colour). PLUS the brush reaches almost to the bottom, unlike most larger (or "regular") sized bottles of polish so you get the most out of them.
My GO-TO brand for sure.

WOW. Pretty much sums it up. I figured buying a salon brand nail polish would be beneficial in the long run as I heard nothing but good things about OPI.
So I got a couple bottles of OPI Nicole nail polish, hot pink with shimmer and a deep dark purple, plus base and top coats (I like to match the brands of top and base coats for chemical consistency).
It went on Really nice and smooth, and the colors are awesome. However, this is the WORST NAIL POLISH I have ever used. Cheapo Sally Hansen lasts way longer than this brand.
My issue is: I do Not like to use dishgloves for doing dishes as I have to often dropped a glass because they make me clumsy, and honestly I like to Feel the dish becoming clean in my hand.. THAT said, I Cannot use this nail polish ! As soon as my hands plunge into the sink of suds, the nail polish turns white and strips right off.
Now generally, This happens ONLY with Sunlight dishsoap because it is awesome at grease removal. And, it happens with Every polish if I do my nails then do the dishes within the next 24 hours. Then the next day I can have my hands in sink with no problem. OPI however, NEVER gets to this point of "settled" and no matter how long I avoid dishes (up to 3, 4 days sometimes) the same stripping thing happens.
Suffice to say, I will never waste my money on this again. Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in the square bottle, Essie and good ol' Revlon are the only brands of nail polish I will buy now.

I went to Shoppers Drug Mart looking for a Benetint blush, but wasn't ready to shell out 25$ so I looked around and found this one on sale for $5. I found the shade I originally had in mind for a blush (coral) and took it home. Well, suffice to say I should have done some research first.
After watching Maybelline's tutorial on how to apply this blush, I tried it, however I used a piece of a Quo makeup sponge, not my finger (I am really keen on NOT touching any of my makeups for contamination reasons, as well as I Hate touching my face because I break out easily) but found that the sponge soaked up most of the color, and the pigment that did make it to my cheek was sort of balled up, as if it had dried out by the time it made it onto my face.
So I bit the bullet, scrubbed my hands and applied by finger. Just touching the pad totally gummed up the moussey formula and the "bounce" didn't, it just sunk.
For me personally (I am light/olivey complexion) I found the sheer pigment was enough as I haven't owned a blush in about a decade, however in future I definitely will be sticking to powder blushes that can be applied with a brush or sponge. This did dry to a nice matte finish, however I have to powder OVER this blush or it looks a bit gummy if you have no time to wait to let it sink in.
The nice thing , is that for wintertime, it gives a nice sunkissed glow to your cheeks.

I have been using this product for about 15 years, starting out in middle school. I love it. I have tried the gentle one but it does not compare - the rough grittiness of the walnut shell is what I love. I actually go out looking for natural soaps made with walnut shell in them because it is such a great exfoliator (why is that word underlining as incorrect on a beauty site??)
This is one of those products, however, that I find myself forgetting about for often months or years at a time; for whatever reason other products I try get me excited about new things and I forget about the good ol' trusty ones.
I do find that sometimes too much squeezes out accidentally when you are using this which makes its per-use cost almost double.. however I also tend to mix just a smaller-than-pea sized amount in with whatever cleanser I happen to be using to have great exfoliation with every face wash. Its also a great body wash for a couple times a week when you want a really good deep scrub (or if you work a dirty labour job..)

I got these as a sample with some other Neutrogena stuff and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these wipes. I generally have super-sensitive skin, but was able to use these without hassle.
What I found though, was a far better use for these wipes as camping bathroom wipes - they leave somewhat of a residue behind but for me that's fine - personally that means I don't need to moisturize down there after using them (as I've found with some harsher, alcohol-based wipes, as they contain no alcohol, and I still feel clean.

I got two boxes in the mail for product testing: Popcorn flavoured and Sweet and Salty -
WOW as soon as I ate a Popcorn one I immediately spat it out. SALT OVERLOAD to the max! I put them away and ate some fruit, then got the box out again. That seemed to help. Now I could taste the popcorn flavour and I did like it, but the salt is far too strong and overshadows the popcorniness. The corn part of the chip (cornchip base) helped to bring out the popcorn flavour but greatly added to the need for water.
I feel like every 3 or 4 chips I eat I need a drink real bad, too. The fact they are so low in calories is good because honestly I don't think I could eat the whole 20 chip count to get to 80 calories.
For a few days I have been munching on the popcorn ones, but not out of want, more out of oral fixation needs. I definitely won't be buying these in store.
Sweet and salty ones, your times to shine is coming later today..

DOES ANYONE KNOW: Can these be used effectively for menstruation? Are they more expensive than menstrual pads? I had received a sample through the Poise website a couple months back but have yet to use these
