After reading all the rave reviews here I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I am a total sucker for mascara, and even if I am happy with my current brand, I am always temped to try new ones. I am currently VERY satisfied with the volumizing results of Maybelline The Colossal but decided to give last blast a try. I was wary of the innovative brush (Define-a-Lash has a similar looking brush with the weird rubbery looking bristles, and I HATED that mascara) but this one does the trick!
After using it for a few weeks, I can safely say I LOVE THIS MASCARA!!! I am having a difficult time deciding between this one and Colossal, but I think they can settle for being tied for first in my books. Last Blast makes your lashes so full and voluminous, while also resisting clumping (the cool brush makes sure of that!) It takes 2 coats for me to get the dramatic effect I am going for, but it works like a charm every time. I have no complains about its performance! The only small qualm I have with it is that it makes my lashes feel somewhat hard after. I find it very difficult to find mascara that leaves lashes feeling soft (although they all claim to) so I will not hold this against Lash Blast. I cannot say If Colossal does a better or worse job of this. My last problem with Lash Blast is that I have had some small flaking by the end of the day, but I think this is a general trend with volumizing mascaras, so again, I will not hold it against Lash Blast.
Overall I am very happy with this mascara and will certainly repurchase. (Next time I might even try Lash Luxe – its Lash Blast with a hint of shimmer apparently … can’t wait to try it!)

This is one of my lotions of choice in the winter months which reek havoc on my hands. This lotion feels more like a salve in a more liquid form. It is very thick and certainly moisturizes your skin. My only problem with this lotion is that it can feel fairly sticky and your hands feel like they have a film over top of them for a long while after use. To remedy this, I use it only on my commute to/from school or work. I put it on my hands and then put my gloves on for my long journey. This helps to seal in the moisture – the heat generated from my hands coupled with the intense hand lotion leaves my hands silky soft after I arrive at my destination. AND there is so sticky feeling when I get there. Avon frequently has sales on their regular products such as this one, so look for one and try it out! -

Overall this is a decent hand lotion, but it is not my favourite. When I use it, I feel like my hands are hydrated but this feeling fades away quickly and my hands feel drier than they were before I used it. I attribute this to the fact that it is a fairly scented lotion. It smells really nice (I always get compliments like, “is that a new perfume?” when I use it) but I find that heavily scented moisturizers are generally not as hydrating as their less scented counterparts. It is also relatively runny for a lotion, which I also don’t like. Decent and mediocre and two words that are quite fitting of this lotion. -

I got a mini version of this in a gift with purchase, so it is not necessarily best suited for my skin. It is designed for people with sensitive skin, to soothe the irritants caused my chemicals and environmental stressors. It is also supposed to provide hydration. Overall its hard to evaluate the effectiveness of this product since it is not suited to my skins needs, but I can evaluate the products quality.
It makes the same claims as the day cream – that it moisturizes and soothes irritated skin while restoring the natural moisture balance. The night cream is similar to the day cream; however it is a richer lotion because it is designed to restore your skins natural moisture barrier overnight. I have to say that it seems like it delivers on its promise. It did soothe my skin and it felt hydrated in the morning. My only complaint is the scent – yucky!

Overall its hard to evaluate the effectiveness of this product since it is not suited to my skins needs, but I can evaluate the products quality. It is a lightweight lotion that does feel like it is soothing to your skin (this can likely be attributed to the oat extract that is supposed to provide antioxidants and calm your skin) . I have to say though that I absolutely cannot stand the smell! I could even still smell it long after it soaked in, and even after I put my make-up on! -

This is called a lip treatment because it is supposed to make your lips LOOK plumper (it not actually a plumping lip gloss!) I like it, but don’t love it. It does deliver on its promise to make your lips lustrous and shiny, and I do like the subtle hint of colour. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the passion fruit scent – it smells like passion fruit even when it’s on your lips (so if you don’t like this scent, stay away!!) My only problem with this lip gloss is that it is fairly heavy and pretty sticky. Overall it was fun but I don’t think I would repurchase (stickiness is a huge breaking point for me). -

I got a mini version of this in a gift with purchase. I am a total mascara junkie, so I was very excited. But, I am sorry to say that after trying it, I was quite disappointed. I have to say, it does deliver on its promise to separate lashes (it has one of those comb type brushes … some people like them, but I despise them). It also did not clump. I should note that it is a lengthening mascara, and I generally do not like these. If you’re into lengthening formulas, I think you will like this one. It does exactly what it says it is going to do. My problem with it is that I want bolder more dramatic lashes, and this mascara just does not fit the bill. It would be a great daytime, appropriate for work mascara though. -

Oh my, I love these little guys (I didn’t mean for that to rhyme!) I am NEVER without them. Once when I bought the 3 pack, it even came with a little bonus key chain holder, designed especially to hold the little pack. I may look like a huge dork, but I don’t mind because my breath is always fresh. I like these because they deliver the cleaning power of Listerine Mouth Wash without having to actually rinse your mouth obviously. I prefer these to gum because I find my jaw gets tense when I chew gum all the time (and if you have coffee as much as I do, you’re popping a lot of these babies a day! So preferable to chewing 7 pieces of gum everyday! Not to mention cheaper.) Some find the pocket packs to sting and be too strong, but I think they are prefect. I am honestly never without them. LOVE :) -

I should preface this review by saying that usually I am reluctant to review shampoos because I don’t find they have a significant effect on my hair either way – I never seem to notice a huge improvement or a drastic adverse effect. This shampoo on the other hand…
I saw this shampoo at Wal-Mart and thought I would give it a try. I love the idea of using all organic products, and love love LOVE the scent of coconut. The icing on the cake? There was a sticky on the bottle that said I could get the shampoo for free through a mail in rebate (that comes in AMERICAN dollars I might add!!) I was sold.
I took the shampoo home looking forward to the lustrous shiny locks that the bottle promised – after all, coconut oil is supposed to do wonders for making your hair shiny and soft. All I can say is OH WHAT LIES!!! I have no idea how they managed to turn something organic into something so horrible. This shampoo did the complete opposite of what it was supposed to – it made my hard dry and brittle, and worst of all FRIZZY! I do not have dry brittle hair to begin with. Granted my curly hair can be slightly unruly at times, and does get a little frizzy, this shampoo made it 100 times worse. And the biggest disappointment of all was that the delicious coconut scent did not stick around! Not even until I was out of the shower. I’m pretty sure it washed away with all the little bubbles. Perhaps the scent would have stuck around if I had also used the conditioner, but given the disaster that took place after using the shampoo, I would not even consider trying the conditioner!
What a colossal disappointment this shampoo was! I am SO glad I get the mail in rebate. This way I can get my money back and forget this whole ordeal ever happened. If only my poor frizzy locks could do the same!

I was drawn to this bottle at Shoppers Drug Mart because it was on sale (who can really resist a sale tag?) and it is SO fun looking! However that’s where my love affair with this product pretty much ends. I find it’s really hit or miss with how it leaves my hair. Some days after using a couple of pumps on damp hair as it recommends, my hair looks great. On other days my hair seems to fall flat, and I don’t have flat hair to begin with! I cannot be bothered to use hair products that have mood swings like this, so I don’t use this product religiously, nor will I likely be repurchasing it.
I should also note, (this is more my own fault than product default but I think its worth mentioning anyway) I dropped my bottle on the floor once, and the little pump popped off. So I tried to pop it back on (which wasn’t any trouble) but it seemed to not be connecting with the actual pump itself, and thus my fairly new bottle was rendered completely useless. Let this be a lesson: cool bottles do not necessarily equal quality product!! DO NOT be sucked in by packaging.
