If you just walk by you might think this is just an Asian grocery market but if you walk through you will see a bunch of wonderful places to get "ready to eat" food! They have a really great HOT food counter that has most of the usual favorites like sweet&sour;pork, fried rice, pork chops with green onions, curried vermicelli noodles, green beans, fish, and tons of other Asian goodies. Another counter has wonderful freshly fried pork dumplings and bamboo baskets steaming yummy freshly made dim sum. T & T even has a small area with seating and tables to eat your yummy food! There are cashiers to pay in multiple places around the store and the prices for the food are excellent! Portions are huge! So much better than going into the mall's food fair! More bang for the buck! After dining you can shop for all your favorites in the grocery section and bring it home too. Definitely recommend this place. -

My boyfriend and I have been here a couple of times now. It was a nice change to be able to pick out our own meat, seafood, and veggies and watch them get cooked before our eyes. The prices are a little more than your standard food fair eatery because they weigh everything you pick and base the prices on the weight. Needless to say meat and veggies can be fairly heavy. On the other hand you know your meal is being prepared fresh before your eyes instead of sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. The staff has always been nice and helpful and fairly fast for it being cooked after you order. I recommend trying this place as it can be a much healthier choice in the food fair seeing as you control exactly what is in your meal. -

So many of my friends and family go to this place for some of the best "Canadianised" Chinese food around. This small restaurant is right across the street from Surrey Central skytrain station. When you walk in you see that to the right there is a place to buy pizza and ribs and pasta (which isn't half bad) and straight ahead of you is a counter filled with a Chinese buffet to choose from. Their sweet and sour pork is meaty and NOT sickly sweet like most places and their honey garlic pork is huge pieces of pork with little to no fat. They have fried rice and different kinds of chow mein, veggie dishes, egg rolls, sesame chicken (one of my favorites) bbq pork and lots of other dishes to choose from. The prices are excellent and the portions are huge here. I would suggest getting there early for dinner because this place is extremely busy and they only make new stuff for the buffet until about 7:30 pm. You can buy single items to go though too until they close but I always go for the buffet items. Definitely recommend! -

My boyfriend and I decided to finally try this place as its been in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember! The decor inside is kind of cozy and homey with lots of wood booths for privacy. The food is a little pricey, but what we ordered was very fresh and the portion sizes were quite big. My shrimp salad was especially enjoyable with an abundance of plump little shrimp atop fresh greens and veggies and my sub sandwich was very tasty and satisfying as well. My boyfriend got the quesadilla which he liked very much. I'm not too fond of their pizza because it has a very thin, cracker like crust. It is just not my preference, but if you like that thin kind of crust you will probably love their pizza too. I have found the waitresses take some time to get to your table but they are still very nice and helpful when they get to you. All in all I would recommend this place if you are in the area. -

After many years of passing by this place on the bus, my boyfriend and I finally decided to try it out about a week ago. Usually the best places end up being the little hole in the wall restaurants but in this case we were disappointingly wrong! We sat down and were given a menu but not offered anything to drink. When asked for water she brought back two empty glasses and made us wait until our food was served which also took forever. The waitress took quite a long time to come to our table even though there was only one other person in the restaurant. We ended up ordering Chicken Tamales and a Chicken Mole Poblano. We were very disappointed with our meals as the tamales had a terrible mushy texture, the mole was very bland and the chicken had the texture of being boiled. (Super soft flesh and jiggling unappealing skin.) You could tell the rice that came as a side was microwaved with hard dried out edges. Prices were high for the tiny portions. We both agreed we would never go there again and would NOT recommend! -

My boyfriend and I stopped in here one night during some kind of new west festivities. We had a few drinks and had some eats while we waited for the fireworks that were going to start in a couple of hours. The place was incredibly packed so the service was quite slow but understandably so. The drinks were reasonably priced, as was the food. The food was pretty good. Standard fair for a pub. It seemed like a popular place with lots of regulars and new comers alike. The view there is awesome with big glass windows that look out onto the river. I would recommend people to go check it out and then take a walk around the Quay! -

Home Depot is a great place to come and shop for pretty much anything to do with home improvement and beautifying your home. They are always holding deals and sales on store items and even the regular prices are pretty reasonable as well. Its usually fairly easy to find someone to help you which I usually need because the place is just so darn huge it can be confusing to navigate the first few times you visit the store. The only thing that I don't like about Home Depot is their delivery system and rules. They will only deliver to the sidewalk and wont bring your bought items into your home or apt. That makes it very hard for people who are disabled to get anything delivered to their home. I would recommend calling your store first to ask about their delivery rules so you know before hand. Otherwise I would recommend shopping here. -

I went into Harvey's for the first time with my boyfriend and a friend of ours for some burgers after a lengthy shopping trip to the Home depot which is where this Harvey's is hidden inside. The wait for my burger and fries was quite lengthy and the person behind the counter seemed very confused and kept forgetting to get me my fries. My boyfriend and my friend both ate their burger and fries and I ate my burger and still hadn't received my fries. Even though I had such a hassle with my fries, my burger was very good and was made exactly how I wanted it with fresh ingredients. I found the prices to be a little high for a "fast food" place and I'm not really sure if the burger was good enough to warrant me frequenting their establishment on a regular basis. If you are at Home Depot and are hungry then I would say go for it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there. -

I have been to this fish and chips joint quite a few times now with my boyfriend. He loves to go there for the all you can eat fish and chips dinner they hold on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The fish is fried golden brown and served with a pile of french fries and a little bit of coleslaw with their own version of tartar sauce which is pretty tasty. The price is excellent for an all you can eat restaurant. The staff is always very nice and the ambiance is very homey and comfortable. If you don't want fish and chips they do have quite a few other choices on their menu and the prices are all very reasonable for seafood. If you have a craving for some food from the sea, you should definitely check this place out. -

On our search for great little sushi places in our area, my boyfriend and I found this new place that just opened up at the time, Yakko Sushi. We were greeted very warmly and seated at a table and given menu's to look over. The decor was very pretty, clean and new looking. The waitress brought us tea and we ordered our usual assortment of sushi rolls. Before we were served our own order, the waitress surprised us both by serving us a little something to try on the house. We both thought that was very nice and not a usual practice at most restaurants. Very few restaurants give you anything extra for free! The rolls we got were very good and presented nicely on very pretty dishes. The prices we very comparable with most sushi places but very fair for the size and quality of the rolls. This is definitely a place my boyfriend and I frequent on a regular basis when we are looking for a place to eat in the area. You should check it out! -
