I have been to the Cactus Club quite a few times now with various family members and my boyfriend and I have really tried hard to like this place but alas I just Cannot. Every time I have gone here I have found the food to be very over priced for extremely mediocre food. I have ordered a few different things there but what I remember the most was the Jambalaya. It was simply awful and I actually found it hard to finish. The Jambalaya was just plopped on top of plain white rice instead of mixing the sauce right in so the rice could at least soak up some of the flavors. The sauce itself wasn't even very flavorful or {expletive} like I asked them to make it for me. My boyfriend's steak was disappointingly small and was cooked much longer than he likes it. The sides that came with it were boring and plain. The Cactus Club isn't really a place I would go to again but there are a lot of people who seem to like the atmosphere and the food there. To each his own I guess -

I have been frequenting this place with my boyfriend for many years now and even remember going to the restaurant part of the pub when I was very young with my parents. This place pretty much looks exactly like it did way back then with very little change. The light fixtures are old school and there is lots of wood tables and places to sit along both sides of the bar. There are 2 pool tables as far as I can remember and its usually pretty busy with lots of different kinds of people. It is a very short walk away from Main St skytrain Station so its easy to get home by transit if you have a few too many of their 3$ mugs of beer. They have a small kitchen that has food that rates between mediocre and fair. I have had a few things that I liked and a few that I could have done without. The people there are a mix of old time regulars and new people alike, tattooed waitresses and can get kind of rowdy at times but most of the time its very laid back and a fun place to hang out. -

My boyfriend and I decided to go and try out the local Taco Del Mar after hearing a lot of good things about it from various people. When we walked in it was quite empty so we didn't have to wait in a line up which was good but made us wonder how good the food here actually was. We both ordered a burrito meal that comes with rice and beans which we both thought was kind of pricey for a fast food joint. While we were standing there watching the lady behind the counter put our meals together we noticed that the food inside the metal warming containers looked like it had been sitting there for quite awhile. Not very fresh looking at all but we continued on because we were famished and thought it might taste better than it looked. We sat down and started to eat our burrito meals and quickly came to the conclusion that it tasted exactly how it looked. Over cooked beans and rice on the side and bland meat, beans, and rice in the burrito as well. Neither of us ended up finishing our meal. Not recommended -

I absolutely love this little Thai place! Its a tiny little hole in the wall restaurant so if you are driving there make sure you don't turn your head because you might miss it and if you love Thai food you definitely don't want to miss out on this place! The food is amazing and feels very authentic. My favorite is the red and green Thai curries which are perfumed with fresh sweet basil and served with steamed rice. The food here smells amazing and gets your taste buds salivating, it looks fantastic, and tastes just as good as it looks and smells. There isn't much seating in this place as its quite small so its best to make a reservation if you are going for dinner. Lunch time can get pretty busy here as well so you are taking your chances is you have a small amount of time for lunch. All in all this is a great dining experience and worth your money. Highly recommend -

I used to go to this place years ago with my boyfriend. It was our favorite place to go for their AYCE lunch or late night AYCE. We went for years and were very happy patrons with their service and their food. Sui Sha Ya then went under new management and did some renovations and the food went down hill from there. We were very disappointed one night when we went in to eat after not being at this location for quite some time. The sushi rolls were half the size and thickness, the filings were tasteless and the seafood motoyaki which used to be served in pretty oyster shells were now served in cheap, tacky, aluminum tart tins and tasted extremely fishy. The prices were the same as before but definitely not worth the quality we were getting now. When craving sushi we will definitely go somewhere else from now on. -

The Oliver Twist pub is a nice place to hang out with friends, have a few drinks and to eat some really surprisingly good food. They have done some renovating in the last couple of years and the place has a very open, comfortable feel. The food has really stepped up a notch since the times of the old Oliver twist and now you can really get some gourmet looking food coming from the kitchen. To my delight the food tasted exactly the way it looked...Great! The prices have definitely come up for the food and drink at the Oliver Twist but I think its definitely worth it in the quality we are getting now from them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I think more people should check out this neighborhood pub and bring their friends too. Cheers! -

This location is fairly large with a lot of seating for a big crowd. I have never seen a big crowd at this Burger King though. It has always been fairly empty every time I have been there. The food is standard fast food burger and fries but its definitely better than the leading fast food joint. The bathrooms smell awful every time I have been to this restaurant so I try and stay out of them while being here. The staff are pretty nice but they could look a little more enthusiastic about their job. Personally if I was hungry, I would probably go somewhere else unless everything else was closed. -

Starbucks service is always fast and efficient and they are always nice and greet you with a smile. The coffee is always hot and fresh and the cold drinks are cold and yummy on a hot day or even a cold day for us Canadians. The glass counter always tempts with bars, tarts, cakes and breads to accompany your beverage of choice. There are a few places to sit and take advantage of the free wifi while you chat with friends and enjoy people watching. After a glorious cup of joe you can go window shopping in the huge mall. Over all a great place to sit and relax or even take it to go if you are in a hurry. -
This is a funky little coffee shop with lots of open window space to watch the world go by as you sip on your wonderful cup of java! Big comfy seats to relax in and chat with friends. The staff is always very nice and helpful and always get my order... +
This is a funky little coffee shop with lots of open window space to watch the world go by as you sip on your wonderful cup of java! Big comfy seats to relax in and chat with friends. The staff is always very nice and helpful and always get my order just right. Its not super busy there so you wont have to wait in a huge line. The prices are about average for these type of coffee shops. If you want to try something new I would recommend you to check this place out. -

Great little coffee shop. I always go here with my bf before we go shopping. The coffee is always nice and hot and the dark roast they have there is full bodied and wakes up the senses. The staff has always been very friendly and ready to help in any way. They have great looking baked goodies to have with your coffee. Big comfy chairs to relax in and great coffee to drink. Sounds like a little slice of heaven to me. -
