I received Annie’s Homegrown Shells and White Cheedar Mac and Cheese for free to try as part of the review clubs on FamilyRated and ChickAdvisor. I had already tried the regular cheddar and was plaeasantly surprised by how much my family and I enjoyed it. I cooked the shells just for myself, and followed the directions according to the box. I really enjoyed the taste, but found that some of the shells were stuck together and still quite hard. The shells were good other than those several that were undercooked and the flavour was good. I like the fact that Annie’s is a healthier alternative of boxed Mac and Cheese. If you enjoy shells, I recommend Annie’s Homegrown Shells and White Cheedar Mac and Cheese. I however, prefer the regular pasta noodles and flavour of Annie’s Homegrown Cheddar Mac and Cheese. May buy again, if I want shells! I forgot to take photos of the cooked pasta in my order excitment to try it, but it looked amazing! -

I received a box of Annie’s Homegrown Classic Cheddar Mac and Cheese for free to try as part of the FamilyRated Club and ChickAdvisor. I was not sure what to expect compared to other boxed Mac and cheese. I guess I thought it might taste bad, but I was wrong!! I made the box for myself, my boyfriend and my 2 stepkids (7 & 9) to try. Wow! My boyfriend was the most reluctant, but even he admitted that it was good. The kids said it was the best Mac and Cheese they’ve ever had (and they love their moms homemade!).
Now for how it tasted. I followed the box directions for cooking, but I did use margarine instead of butter. Annie’s Homegrown Classic Cheddar Mac and Cheese was really creamy, perfectly cooked and delicious! There was enough for 3 small bowls and the kids were full after eating their share. I like that the ingredients are better for you than other boxed Mac and Cheese. I always hated giving my kids tartrazine. I highly recommend this Mac and Cheese and will definitely buy it again.

I got a 12 pack of Canada Dry Club Soda, in Pomegranate-Cherry flavour to try for free as a part of the product review club at Chick Advisor. I pretty much only drink water and carbonated beverages, so I was very excited to try this new flavoured club soda. It is the best of both worlds! I love the carbonation, and the flavour is delicious! There is just a hint of pomegranate and cherry to perk up the club soda, but no added sweetness, which makes it very refreshing. Pomegranate Cherry club soda is the perfect cold beverage for a hot summer day. I will definitely be buying more, and highly recommend that you try it! -

I received Mott's Mr. & Mrs. T Mai Tai Cocktail Mix for free to review for the Product Review Club at ChickAdvisor! I had never had a Mai Tai before I tried this, and I'm in love! My favourite alcoholic drink (if it isn't rum) is an Amaretto Sour, consisting of bar lime and amaretto. Mai tai is orange, lemon, lime, pineapple and almond flavours, so it is the perfect drink for me! Mott's Mr. & Mrs. T Cocktail Mix makes having a Mai Tai so easy! The flavour is tart, but refreshing, with a hint of sweetness from the almond. There were not a lot of recipes that I could find, so I served the mix, as suggested, over ice. I was a bit overwhelmed by how flavourful it was at first, so I decided to try mixing it with orange juice. It was delicious both ways! I added rum to the straight mix and wow, what an amazing flavour! The rum cut the strong flavour of the mix and it was perfection! A 1 litre bottle will go a long way, especially when used as an additive to drinks. I would recommend Mott's Mr. & Mrs. T Mai Tai Cocktail Mix to a friend and can not wait to try all of the other flavours too! This product is a great value, at about $3 for 1L! Mott's Mr. & Mrs. T Mai Tai Cocktail Mix will be my go to for prepared drink mixes from now on! -

I received Voortman S'mores Wafers to try for free as part of Family Rated Reviews. This wafer cookie is just about to hit the Canadian market, and once it does, it's sure to fly off the shelves! Voortman's S'mores wafers are delicious, fresh, crispy and flaky in all the right ways! 3 wafers is 150 calories, and well worth the splurge if you are craving something sweet! The wafers have a great chocolate taste with a hint of marshmallow. My boyfriend and I both loved them, and the kids went crazy for them! We highly recommend Voortman S'mores Wafers and will definitely be buying them again! -

I got the Vileda Scrunge for free to try. I always use a sponge to wash my dishes, so I was excited to try this unusual type of sponge. The green part was a lot harder than I am used to, and it was also sort of wavy, not flat. I used it several times to wash dishes and I really didn’t find that it worked well for plates and bowls. However, I am spring cleaning and used it to clean my oven, and I am thoroughly impressed! While other sponges would have worn down and ripped through, the Scrunge kept on going through the whole cleaning process and it’s still in great condition, albeit dirty! Altogether, I cleaned the dishes several times, the oven, stove, kitchen and bathroom sinks, and the tub and I loved the Scrunge for everything but washing the dishes. The faucets really shine now! I think the best thing about the Scrunge is that even though it is tough, it didn’t leave a scratch! I highly recommend the Vileda Scrunge for all of your household cleaning needs! -

We got Motts Fruitsations + Fibre Raspberry to try for free as part of Chickadvisor’s Product Review Club #gotitfree! Its always a struggle to find ways to add fruits and veggies conveniently to every meal, so when I got to try this as an addition to the kids breakfasts, I was thrilled! They take a long time in the morning to eat cereal or oatmeal and a piece of fruit, so a cup of applesauce is perfect! We all enjoy applesauce, but are fussy about brand. The Motts Fruitsations + Fibre Raspberry is so delicious! We all enjoyed the flavour and I love the fact that it has 2 grams of fibre per serving. I also like that this is unsweetened, so there are only 11 grams of natural sugars. The kids like the raspberry flavour a little more than the Tropical flavour (#wegotitfree too!), but liked both. They give it 2 thumbs up, and that’s saying a lot! Motts Fruitsations is a proud sponsor of the Breakfast Clubs of Canada and I’m happy that when I buy this applesauce, I’m helping to feed hungry children at breakfast! We will definitely buy this again as a healthy addition to meals and for yummy snacks and desserts! -

We got Motts Fruitsations + Fibre Tropical to try for free as part of Chickadvisor’s Product Review Club #gotitfree! I am always trying to find new ways to conveniently add fruits and veggies to each meal, and this is a great addition to the kids breakfast. The kids are fussy when it comes to applesauce, but they really enjoyed the tropical flavour. They give it 2 thumbs up, and that’s saying a lot! I like the fact that there are 2 grams of fibre and only 11 grams of natural sugars (its unsweetened) per serving! Motts Fruitsations + Fibre Tropical is approved by Mom and the kids! I also like that Motts Fruitsations is a proud sponsor of the Breakfast Clubs of Canada! It’s nice to know that when I buy this applesauce, I’m helping to feed hungry children for breakfast! We will definitely buy this again as a healthy and quick way to introduce fruits to the kids’ meals, and as a yummy snack for my boyfriend and I! -

I tried it on her hair first and decided not to try it on my own hair after seeing the results. The results were close to the shade shown on the back of the box, but it was not a blue colour at all. Her hair was just a shade darker. I used about half of the bottle to cover her long hair, which is really good, as it can be used over again. However, the package only came with 2 plastic gloves, and I can tell you from experience that it is quite messy without them! The colour ended up on my hands, which did come out after several washes. The bathroom however did not fare so well! That blue spray was everywhere. It was on the floor, the toilet, the sink, the shower curtain, the shelf, and the side of the vanity! I tried to clean it up as quickly as I could, but I kept finding more of it and it was very hard to get out! I really wanted to like this product, but even if the colour had been nicer, the mess just doesn’t seem worth it! I do not recommend this product unless you have very light hair and will be using it in the shower, to make clean up easier! -

I got to try the Premier Protein Vanilla Shake for free, thanks to ChickAdvisor and Premier Protein. I drank one, and the other one I used in a modified recipe based on one I found on Premier Protein's website. I made an Aloha Pineapple shake using ingredients that I already had. I added 1 cup of ice, 2 slices of canned pineapple, 1 small banana, 1 teaspoon of Epicure's Coconut Lime sweet dip mix and one full Premier Protein Vanilla Shake in the blender and blended for about a minute. The banana flavour was quite distinct, but it was so good! These shakes are perfect for blending. They are nice and thick and have a great vanilla flavour. The Aloha Pineapple Shake is a nice replacement for ice cream, if you're looking for a treat that's not loaded with sugar and calories! The Vanilla shake on its own had a bit of a vitamin smell, but not in the taste at all. I have looked for a ready made shake that tasted good, and have been unable to find one - until now! I am on a high protein and fiber diet and need to have something that I can grab on the go. The Premier Protein Vanilla Shake is packaged in a tetra pack with a spout, so it's just grab and go! This shake contains 30 grams of protein, which keeps me full and on track! There is only 1 gram of fiber in this shake, but it only contains 160 calories, so adding another high fiber, low calorie snack will make for the perfect breakfast for me to stay on track with my weight loss goals! There are so many good things to say about this shake! It's rich, delicious and keeps me on track. I will definitely buy more! Thanks, @ChickAdvisor for letting me #tryPremierProtein. I #gotitfree, but you should go buy some! It's definitely a great price and a great product! -
