Out of all three flavours, this one was my least favourite. I really did enjoy the flavours but I found the other two to be much more of a tasty combination. As with the other two, I liked the light combo of fruit with chocolate, and really liked that this product was made with quality ingredients. It definitely makes a good treat!
Thanks for the opportunity, ChickAdvisor!

I found this particular bar quite enjoyable. I liked that it was sweet enough, and the little bit of chocolate made it feel decadent without adding too much in the way of calories. I generally look for a bar with a bit of a lower calorie count to higher protein grams, so it would definitely be a treat for me, but would not hesitate to have them as a treat for my kids, especially if I found them on sale.
Thanks, ChickAdvisor!

I was very lucky to receive Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Moisturizer for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club.
I'm always very interested in new products of this type, as a moisturizer is truly the only product that I ALWAYS use, and always have used. I find it essential to put on after a shower to keep my skin from peeling and feeling tight. I also look for a product with at least an SPF 15, just to avoid having to think of extra things in the sun.
This product met and exceeded my expectations. It seems to be a little bit of a smaller pumped out amount than other products in this category, which was a lovely change. I always find the pumped amount in other products is a tiny bit much, thus always having some extra to get rid of. I loved that this was just enough. I also really liked the very mild smell. Strong scents bother me, and this one was just right. The cream itself felt great on my skin, and I did not experience any irritation or tightness whatsoever.
I'm so glad I tried this new product, and will definitely be utilizing it again the future. Thanks again, ChickAdvisor!

I was thrilled to try out Garner SkinActive Micellar Water for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club.
I tend to stay away from a lot of products - I avoid extra cream and makeup when I can to avoid breakouts. It seems like even though I'm 33 years old, they're still coming on strong. Being always on the hunt for new products that'll help with my skin ailments, I was definitely curious to try something like this.
Firstly, I loved that it did not have a strong fragrance. I couldn't even smell it at all, which is a big plus in my books. I used my usual cotton cloth to wipe, and doused with with a generous amount of the Micellar Water at the end of the day. It absolutely left my skin feeling less oily, refreshed, and much cleaner! Since my bathroom tends to look like a dog shook off a bath after I wash my face, the lack of water was a welcome change. I also used the product to wipe my face after workouts where I didn't shower right away. I instantly felt refreshed and like my pores wouldn't get as gunked up after all that sweat and yuck that comes after a long run.
I love that this product goes on without rubbing or washing in - it's as simple as just putting it on! I did not experience any dryness, irritation or breakouts from it, which is always my prime concern when starting with a new product.
I love this new cleanser and will certainly be using it again. Thanks for the opportunity, ChickAdvisor!

I was very excited to try Brookside Dark Chocolate Frut & Nut Bars through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The bars that I received came in three flavours - Blueberry with Acai, Cranberry with Blackberry, and Cherry with Pomegranate.
I found the bars to be delicious, chewy, and filling. I liked that the amount of chocolate wasn't overwhelming in the bars, and especially enjoyed the presence of whole almonds. With only 4 grams of protein but at 180 calories, I generally would not buy these bars for myself, as I prefer to go for something with a higher protein and lower calorie combo. However, I found them to be great for my kids. I like That they are non-gmo, and that they include a wide array of real nuts and fruits. It's refreshing to see a bar on the market with actual real food in them! I find the price-point to be a bit high for my normal day-to-day shopping (although I understand the price due to the higher-quality ingredients) but would definitely buy them as a treat when I came upon them on sale.
Hand down, I liked the Cherry and Pomegranate flavour best, but also enjoyed that the Blueberry with Acai tastes exactly like the acai chocolates from the same company! Thanks again to ChickAdvisor for the opportunity!

My dog Sandwiches and I were very excited to try out Nurtrience Grain Free food as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. Sandwiches is a middle-aged Frenchie and has been on the same dog food (Origin) for quite some time.
We gradually introduced him to the new food - first as treats and then a little bit at a time added to his original food. He loved it! While he's usually known to leave food for quite a while after being fed, each time we fed him the Nutrience, he instantly ate it up and licked the bowl clean! He tried the Prairie Red formula, which is made with Angus Beef, wild boar, bison, salmon, herring, and cod. What a treat and a big change from his usual plain-old Origin fish formula. He seemed to really enjoy the different textures as the variety of the kibble pieces and the freeze-dried raw bits were a good change. I noticed him a bit less gassy than normal, and he had no tummy problems throughout our trial of the new food. We absolutely love that the product is made in Canada, as we're always looking for products made closer to home. I also like that it's prepared with never-frozen sources; a change that was definitely reflected in Sandwiches' enthusiasm for the new food.
The price of the new food is definitely higher than what we're used to, but now that Sandwiches is getting to the "twilight" of his life, we're aware that we may have to spend a little more to keep him healthy and active in his senior days, so Nutrience came at a great time to try. We will definitely be using the coupon we received for his next bag. Sandwiches and I thank you for this opportunity, ChickAdvisor and Nutrience!

I was looking forward to trying CeraVe Bebe Diaper Rash Cream as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Panel. My son is still in diapers, and he's experienced a lot of diaper rashes, so this product was a good fit for us! The claims of the product that appealed to me the most are the fact that it's fragrance, parapen, and sulfate free. With both my kids, I try to use as natural of products as possible. Up until now I'd only used very natural and organic products so I was interested to see the difference with this one. Unfortunately, the price and efficacy of the product did not make it worthwhile for me. I found the time to clear up a diaper rash was just as long as using a natural product such as coconut oil; something that is cheaper and more readily available. Also, I found my baby to squirm more away from me when applying the cream on his rash, making me think that it was perhaps more painful than the application of these more "homeopathic" cures on his bum. I appreciated trying the product but it is not one I'll be purchasing in the future. -

I was looking forward to trying CeraVe's Eye Repair Cream as part of ChickAdvisor's Review Panel. As a mother of two with too many sleepless nights, a product like this was right up my alley. I followed the directions exactly for this product and applied it in the morning and at night. I don't wear makeup, so the only product that I used on my face in addition was this was simply moisturizer. I found the directions of applying in "small dots" to be ineffective, as the cream was too thick. I managed to get it around my eyes and not in it, due to the thin spout. While this product is comparable to other's on the market, I did not find that it reduced my dark circles or puffiness at all. Perhaps mine are beyond repair, but I wouldn't purchase nor recommend this product in the future. -

I was thrilled to be selected to try CeraVe's Intensive Stretch Marks Cream as part of the ChickAdvisor Tester Review Panel. As a mother of two, and a person who has repeatedly lost and gained weight, me and my skin were absolute candidates for this exact product. My most visible stretch marks are on my hips and stomach, as well as a few more faded ones in my upper-body. I loved that this product is hypoallergenic, and free of paragons, sulphates, and most of all, fragrance. My biggest problem with products of this sort is fragrance - I absolutely can't stand it! Luckily, I found this product to have no offensive scent whatsoever. The one main complaint I had with this product is that is claims to be "non-greasy and fast-absorbing." Unfortunately, for me, it wasn't. I found myself very sticky every time I wore this product. Perhaps it was because I tested it in the summer, but no matter the time of day, it would make my clothing stick to me. Even if I decided to only wear it at night, I found myself waiting a very long time for it to absorb, and even then it was quite sticky. The worst was when I wore it when exercising. Because of this, I was not able to use it "as often as needed," as I certainly didn't want to constantly be sticky, and in turn, did not notice any reduction in the appearance of stretch marks. Because of this, I would not recommend the product nor purchase it again. -

I was very excited to test out Trojan's H20 Water-Based Lubricant as part of the Chick-Advisor product review club.
I was very interested in this product, as it seems to contain more naturally sourced products than its counterparts on the market. I loved that it contains aloe and vitamin E, as well as the very enticing feature that it is both fragrance and dye-free. I find that to be a big detriment in my using similar products on the market - both artificial fragrances and dyes really bother my skin.
Luckily, although this product doesn't have as many chemicals are are present in the competitor's, it's efficacy was just as great. I liked that a little went a long way, and also the fact that it was able to properly lubricate without being either sticky or leaving a film. I found that it did not stain or dirty any bedding and the product absolutely met its claims.
This was a great product, and I'm glad I was exposed to it through the review panel! With so many different lubricants on the market, I often forgo trying anything new due to lack of knowledge and too many options! I would absolutely buy this again as well as be happy to recommend it to a friend.
