I was really excited to be selected to try out OxiClean Max Force Laundry Stain Remover as part of the chickadvisor Product Review Club. With two little ones, I'm always on the hunt to keep our clothes cleaner and lasting longer.
I'm not a huge user of these laundry boosters normally but love to try out new things, especially with the stains my little ones cover themselves in. I recently tried a very similar product in a different brand, and this one seemed to be right on par with its competitor.
First I utilized as a "laundry booster" and added the product to the drum itself in regular laundry loads. In this capacity, I did not notice a huge difference in stains being removed. Moreover, the smell is incredibly strong and I really didn't like it. I had a few white items that were extra stained - several with food and grass - and used the product to pre-soak as a "stain remover." While it did get out more stains than a regular wash would have, the clothes still maintained their original stains. This was probably due to the fact that they weren't new stains, so I can't really blame the product itself. Perhaps it would have been different if they'd gone straight into the soak rather than going in after a few washes. But then again, I would never have a batch of clothes big enough to bother to soak for me to necessitate using the product in this capacity. The third situation that I used the product with was with bathroom items - towels, bathmats, etc. For this, I found it good as it really freshened them up and loosened up the "minky" smell these items can sometimes hang onto, no matter the frequency of washes. It did a good job for towels especially, but again, the smell was extremely overpowering.
At $10 a tub, this product is certainly in line with what similar products are charging. In my situation, however, I really can't see the price being worth it. I didn't see enough advantages to it to necessitate adding yet another expense to already expensive laundry, and probably would not purchase the product again.

I thought the email about getting to try out Arm & Hammer's Truly Radiant Toothpaste as part of ChickAdvisors Product Review Club was quite serendipitous - just that morning I'd been looking at my coffee&wine;stained teeth and thinking that I'd better get some of those White Strips soon, since my teeth were looking kinda "bla," especially against my lovely summer tan. I was excited to try this new toothpaste, especially since I'm not really married to any particular brand and am always looking for the next new thing when it comes to tooth-care.
I used the product for the full five days (and am still using!) and found that it definitely meets it's claims. My smile was certainly more radiant within the five days - I'd been lamenting all the stains prior to trying it, so I was really on top of checking out my progress. I don't really know about "smoothing surface imperfections" because I didn't really notice any on the teeth that I see, but they do look shinier! While I don't know if it actually works, I really like the claims that "baking soda can get into microscopic crevices along the gum line to clean away unsightly stains and naturally neutralizes acids to help eliminate odours." I found this to be a great toothpaste in promoting fresh breath for a time comparable to any other product on the market. I really like this toothpaste, and I felt that I was being proactive on keeping my teeth white, rather than just letting them build up with stains and then doing a week of White Strips.
My one and only complaint was the taste. I don't really know what it was, but at first it just tasted really "different" than what I was used to. Obviously this isn't anything wrong with the toothpaste itself - it was just different and a bit sweeter and chalkier than I'm used to. Now that I've gotten used to the new taste, I wouldn't hesitate to continue using it.
Thanks for the opportunity to try this, Chickadvisor! I would definitely buy this product again in the future!

For the first time since reviewing a product through the ChickAdvisor panel, I wasn't totally thrilled with the product! Nothing to do with it, but this item is carried by very few stores - and none at which I shop at regularly! After making a special trip to redeem my coupon, I used all of the product and was neither thrilled nor disappointed. It was a good product, but also one that's pricier and harder to find than the competition. Absolutely, this product does what the package claims but so does it competition for way less cost! I would probably buy this product again, as it's the same as all the others for dishwasher packs, but I'd only do so if it was really on sale. Thanks, Chickadvisor, for the opportunity to try another new product! -

I was really excited to be chosen by the Chickadvisor Product Review Club to test out the OxiClean Dishwashing 2 in 1 Booster Rinse Agent. To be honest, I know barely anything about this type of product. I usually use detergent pods in my dishwasher, and while my glasses were getting a bit filmy, I'd never looked into or thought about trying any products to remedy the situation. I'm glad a product found me! I filled up the never before touched dispenser that I hadn't even realized my dishwasher had, and it took about a third of the 461ml bottle. I couldn't believe that this bottle will get us through 150 washes; about half a year's worth for only $4.99 seems like an exceptional value to me! For the first few washes I didn't notice much of a difference, but as the week went on, I was thrilled to see that the water stains on the glasses were quickly receding! So far it's doing a great job on its claims to "remove cloudy film, food particles, and sports & streaks." I also really appreciate the lack of a strong smell, as well as the fact that it is phosphate free. Thanks for a great new product that I look forward to continue utilizing in the future! -

I was really excited for the opportunity to test out this new toothbrush along with the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. When it comes to toothbrushes, normally I subscribe the idea of "the cheaper the better" and end up getting whatever is extremely cheap on sale, or what ends up being cheap with a coupon.
This toothbrush, however, is certainly worth paying for! It's truly different than the other products out there, and I loved it from the first try.
I was a bit weary because mine said "soft" and I prefer a firmer brush, but it actually had the perfect firmness to it. I actually wouldn't want to go any firmer. The bristles felt great and I could see how they would absolutely remove hard to reach plaque but also act gently on enamel. My absolute favourite part of this toothbrush were the hard rubber bits designed to clean and stimulate the gum line. This is the one thing that this toothbrush has over the others, and I've never used a product with this feature. It felt really different at first, but it also felt great in my mouth! This is one toothbrush that absolutely left me with a very clean and dentist-like feeling each and every time I brushed. I loved the opportunity to test this brush, and by all means, will be recommending it and buying it in the future.

I was very much looking forward to trying the Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection Rinse as part of the total oral health package.
Generally I am not a big user of mouth rinses, but since many in my family use them daily I often find myself purchasing them. I'm familiar with this particular one, and it's become one of my favourites.
First and foremost, I really love that this formula is alcohol-free and not as "burny" as similar products out there. By far, that is the biggest advantage that this rinse has over others. I also truly enjoyed the taste of it; it's not something that was a chore to use but instead rather enjoyable. I found that unlike another product that I tried out recently, this rinse actually left my mouth debris-free, rather than foamy which is a big reason why I also like it. Lastly, I found that the clean feeling lasts for longer than I've come to expect with similar products. It makes me feel good to be passively killing germs and gingivitis by using such a great product. I would absolutely recomend and buy in the future.

I was really excited to try out the new Crest Pro-Health Pro Fresh Toothpaste, along with the other two products. Growing up I exclusively used natural toothpastes, so I always enjoy trying a new product that is so totally different to me.
With this toothpaste, I found that it was rather unremarkable. It's a good product for sure - I would definitely agree that it "fights cavities, fights plaque, fights gingivitis, builds increasing protection against painful sensitivity, fights tartar, whitens teeth (by removing surface stains) and freshens breath." However, I don't really see that this toothpaste does this any better than the other products out there. There are so many toothpastes on the market these days that for one to stand out among the others, it has to be REALLY different. While this one tasted good, left my mouth clean, and followed the general standard protocol for such a product, I wasn't dazzled by it. By all means, I would purchase this toothpaste if I had a good coupon or if it was on sale, but I would not go out of my way to purchase it in the future.

I was really excited about the opportunity to try out the Huggies Little Movers Slip on Diapers for several reasons. First off, my 2.5 year old daughter has mostly been cloth-diapered throughout her life. We've had a lot of success, and haven't really looked for an alternative to what we've known all this time. Secondly, I'm not familiar at all with the Huggies brand. Any time we've needed to resort to disposables, I've always used Pampers due to the silly rewards points that they have. It doesn't really get us anything, but for some reason I've stuck to that brand hoping for some reward in the future!
Anyway, now that my daughter is "toilet trained" during the day, I've been looking for some sort of diapers for the areas in which she's not trained: night time, and poo. Most nights she wakes up dry, but it's still good reassurance for both of us that she wear a diaper at night, and our cloth is quickly becoming too small. In addition to this, she still feels uncomfortable using the potty for poo; something I've learned is quite common in kids her age. So, I'm looking for a product exactly like the one we're reviewing: something where only two or so diapers are used per day.
We received a pack of the Size 5 diapers, which are for 27 pounds and over. I was a bit hesitant about the size, as while she is 30 pounds, she's quite tall and thin so smaller diapers tend to fit better. This one happened to be a great fit! It sits snug on her body, and I can tell that there's certainly room for her to grow into them also. I think the extremely stretchy sides have a lot to do with it! She wore them overnight several times, and we didn't have a problem with leakage at all. She loved the Tigger design on the front, and I loved the fact that the diapers distinguished front from back, as something so easy is often confusing for me! I think my daughter really liked the fact that she was wearing "underwear" to bed, as putting these on was so different than the regular diapers she was used to. What I really appreciated about this option, is that these seem to be a hybrid between a regular diaper and a training pant. While they could be pulled on, just like big kid underwear, I liked the fact that they're opened to be taken off, thus lessening the smearing factor. All in all, I enjoyed this new and innovative diaper, and for people like us who are in the "in between" stage, it's a perfect product to see us through until our daughter is fully potty trained!

I was very excited to be selected to try out these whitening products because I'm always looking for any help I can get in this department!
Unfortunately, the whitening rinse was my least favourite of the three products. I like the packaging and its promises, but the flavour left something to be desired. I understand why many like that it isn't as "burny" as most mouthwashes, but I rather like that aspect of it and generally utilize very strong tasting rinses. I also didn't like the texture of it; after gargling with it it always got extremely foamy and acquired a weird texture. I much prefer the other products in this line, but sadly this one gets a thumbs down from me!

i was so thrilled to be selected to try out this toothpaste. I've been a long-time user of natural toothpastes, and only in the last few years have made the switch to regular ones. So, this leaves me without many ties to particular brands, and am always looking for new ones to add to the rotation.
This toothpaste, in combination with the toothbrush I received, were fantastic! I really enjoyed the gristly texture of it; it almost felt sand-like and I liked the feeling of it cleaning my teeth. The flavour was quite mild, which I really appreciate after so many years of natural toothpastes. I also liked the general look of it and found it quite pleasant to use. While I've only used the product for a week, I do think the toothpaste has made a whitening difference in the colour of my teeth, and continue to look forward to improvements as I continue using it!
