I received this toothbrush to try through the Product Review Club and feel SO lucky that I did! I'm not one to spend a lot of money on toothbrushes; either I use coupons to get them virtually free or just use the one my dentist gives me every six months. "They're all the same, aren't they?" is the line of thinking I've taken in the past.
Holy cow, I was wrong! I guess there IS something to paying more for a toothbrush! The type I got was "soft" but it's absolutely firm enough and feels GREAT on my teeth and gums. I had a bit of gum bleeding at first, but I'm eight months pregnant so that's nothing new. I don't know how the whitening aspect of it actually works, but I absolutely loved the feeling of this toothbrush. It has "pockets" of sorts within the bristles, and surprisingly I found these to get my teeth really clean and pearly-looking. I found this to be a perfect complement to the other products.
This toothbrush is awesome and I'll definitely be buying it in the future!

I hadn't been a huge Vex fan before, but during my last trip to the liquor store I noticed their new flavour: "Strawberry Smoothie." I seem to be a sucker for anything that's both pink and includes the word "smoothie," so I decided to give it a go. Vex is a better deal than most ciders or beers; it was $8.99 for a 6/pack, rather than the usual of that price for only four. I found the taste to be lovely - a nice change from my usual wine drinks and while it's very sweet it's definitely not TOO sweet. I'll definitely be having it again during the summer! -

I got this chocolate bar as a sample in the mail a few weeks back, and not being a huge pretzel fan, I put it away in the cupboard. Of course, as it often does, a few days later a chocolate craving struck, and I remembered my giant bar. I opened it, with the intention of eating three squares and putting it away, and... oh my goodness.... It was aaaaaaa-mazing! It has the perfect amount of both peanut butter and pretzels; neither overwhelms the other and the chocolate is just as prominent. I shared a few pieces with my daughter (who also instantly became a big fan) and polished off the bar right then and there. I'd never think of getting this flavour, but after sampling it, I'm absolutely a fan. Yay for chocolate!!! -

I thought about getting a Diva Cup for a while before I actually took the plunge and purchased it. $40 is a pretty hefty price tag for a "period item," and who knew if I'd even be able to wear it? However, one day I was reading something and had a realization... Can you imagine the sheer amount of waste that we create with our periods? As a new mom I'd done a ton of reaserch on disposable diapers versus cloth, and I absolutely knew that I would be happy to take on the extra work of cloth rather than polluting the earth with yet MORE waste. Why hadn't I felt the same about throwing away countless pads and tampons month after month? Anyway, aside from the huge environmental implications, I realized that the $40 price isn't really that much at all. If you're spending $5-$10 per period on pads or tampons (and they do add up!) you've made this purchase worthwhile in no time.
And onto the best part: the diva cup works. I always put it in first thing in the morning and empty it last thing at night, and I've never had a leak. I rarely wear underwear, and I don't even have to now when I have my period (gross, I know.... But I don't have to!). Anyway, the Diva Cup is incredibly comfortable, reliable, and good for the earth and for your health. If you're considering it - do it! I'll never go back to conventional products. :)

As an avid calorie counter, I really love my treats! Today I noticed the tiny little Skinny Cow ice cream tubs (157ml) were on sale for $1.70 so I decided to treat myself. I waited until the baby was in bed and excitedly pulled out my special little treat.
Can I just say: YUCK!
It has a really strong taste of a very artificial sweetener, and it doesn't taste like ice cream in the slightest. After googling around a bit, I think the taste might come from the "polydextrose" in the ice cream, which is apparently a product manufactured by the pharmaceutical company, Pfizer. It actually gave me a headache instantly and made my mouth dry and gross.
I'd WAY rather get my treat in with something where I can actually pronounce the ingredients (silly me, I was distracted at the store and enticed by the sale) so I will NOT be buying Skinny Cow products in the future. Once again: YUCK!

After gaining over sixty pounds with my first pregnancy, I knew I had to make a lifestyle change. I could no longer live in an awful sedentary manner while consuming enough calories to feed two people.
I don't know how, but one day I stumbled upon caloriecount.com and it's truly been a life-changer for me.
Calorie Count is a fantastic free website with a giant database of food, advice, and forums. Any weight loss or exercise question you can think of has already been asked, and their plethora of pertinent information led me on an amazing life-changing experience. Calorie counts tools include not only a calorie tracker, but also exercise tracker, BMI tools, nutrition profiling, and that's just the start of it. They also have a fantastic smart phone app that I use at least five times throughout each and every day. This free service has been fantastic for me, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking to get healthier, eat better, and loose weight. Since I found this site I've lost over 40 pounds, and this is without having to pay for some fancy "loose pounds quickly by buying our products" scheme. Thanks Caloriecount.com!

I was really intrigued to try Chapman's frozen yogurt and was thrilled to learn that the company generously gives out one $5 voucher per household per year. Fantastic! I was happy to get my voucher in the mail shortly after ordering it, and held onto it until the time was right.
I'd been eying Chapman's products for a while. The nutritional profile is fantastic for someone like me who's really watching their weight. Most of their frozen yogurt products have 90-120 calories per half cup, which is just right for a small evening treat without breaking the calorie-count bank. The price is a little steep at about $6.99 to $8.99 per tub, so when it went on sale at my local Save-On for $4.99 I used my voucher and got it for free! What tastes better than a light frozen yogurt? A FREE light frozen yogurt!
The taste of the Dutch Chocolate flavour that I tried was amazing. It's creamy, sweet, and very fresh-tasting. It lasted me a long time, as I only ate it in half-cup increments, and even my non-calorie counting spouse loved it. Thank you, Chapman's! With your kind little $5 voucher you've attained a definite repeat customer!
