I am a huge Body Shop fan, so was excited to get to review Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Serum though the Chick Advisor product review club. A huge selling feature of this product is that 99% of the total ingredients come from natural sources. Since I've recently become more concerned about what chemicals are in my favourite products I was happy to see that the Body Shop has taken an interest in creating products like this. I also appreciated that this serum was designed to prevent the first signs of aging, rather than like most creams geared towards smoothing lines that are already there. What I didn't enjoy about the serum is the texture. It left my face feeling sticky. While I wasn't a huge fan of the smell of the serum, that wouldn't stop me from buying this product. I’m glad to see a major company focusing on natural ingredients, and hope this line of Body Shop products keeps expanding! -

I had the chance to go to the Chick Advisor Breyers' Happy Hour Ice Cream party. It was a great event, full of ice cream themed martinis and manicures. While at the party I sampled the Dulce de Leche and Mocha Fudge Brownie flavours. The Dulce de Leche was a clear winner for me. It doesn't skimp on caramel swirl, and has enough flavour to satisfy a traditionally chocolate flavour fan like me. The Mocha Fudge Brownie was enjoyable as well, with enough chunks of brownie to satisfy the Ben and Jerry's fan. I couldn't help wishing they had left the Mocha out of the Fudge Brownie, since the coffee flavour over powered the chocolate flavour.
Overall this is a great guilt free ice cream product

I got the chance to try Garnier Skin Renew brusher out through the Product Review Club. The brusher is one of the most unique skin care products I've seen recently, so I was interested to see if it was as revolutionary as it looked. I found the brush to be a useful way to thoroughly distribute the cleanser on my face, and liked the smell of the soap. I was concerned that it might leave residue on my face, since using the brush meant using more cleanser than I usually would, but was happy to discover that it washed of easily.
Whether this product offers the "renewed" skin it promises is not something I'm convinced of. I found it fun to use, but aside from the brush, similar to most other cleansers I've tried. I enjoyed that the people at Garnier included a bonus trial moisturizer in the package they sent!

For fans a Grilled Cheese with flair this casual resturant in Kensington Market is the place to go. Their menu goes above and beyone the traditional cheese and bread recipie, with more exotic combinations like dill and havarti, or the "Hamlet" (ham and cheese) which makes for a heartier sandwich. All are heated on an open grill and served with potato chips. The casual atmosphere adds to the enjoyment of this simple favourite as you can have your grilled cheese at a picnic table inside, or head out for some sunshine on the small patio outside. My only complaint about my Grilled Cheese experience was slow service. By the time I got my meal, the two friends I went with had long since finished. While the service could be better, the Grilled Cheese is well worth the wait. -

This is a great two-in-one product. I used it as a base to correct eyelid cover and then to make the eyeshadow on to last longer. It is also a nice shade on its own for a more natural look. What really adds to this product is the convenient compact it comes in, with a small mirror, making it a great make-up to carry in your purse for quick touch-ups. -

The only reason I wouldn't recommend this product is the price. The fragrance on the other hand is perfect! It is a great mix of citrus and floral (to my nose anyway...according to the website there is grapefruit, bergamot, peach, pineapple, blue rose, freesia, gardenia, red apple, violet, lily of the valley, hyacinth, rose, lotus flower, patchouli, cedar, musk, white musk and more all in there too!) I would like to try out this product in perfume form since it is the smell, not the moisturizer that I am sold on. Its a perfect perfume for spring! -

I keep hearing about how great this product is and was excited to try it out for myself. Where it tops other moisturizers is in its non-greasy feel. After putting it on my legs didn't look like winter skin slathered in a non-absorbant moisturizer, they looked like my skin in the summer: healither and naturally moisturized. While I really like this product, my only complaint is the smell is very generic and the size of the product is pretty small. -

I won this product in a giveaway from Fashion Magazine. I've always been curious if big ticket moisturizers work any better than your average Life Brand face cream, and was excited to see if this $170 Lancome product would "regenerate and reconstruct" my skin as it promised. What I did like about this product was its smooth texture and scent.....it really did feel and smell like an expensive face cream. While I liked the texture of the cream after using it for about a month I didn't notice my skin looked much different. What I think this product is really missing is SPF. For that price tag I want to make sure I'm not just regenerating skin, but protecting it too! -

Fresh off my discovery of Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Moisturizer, I was ready to fill my shelf with every other moisturizer they had to offer. While this Aloe and Buttermilk product is great for sensitive skin, I found the scent smelled more medical than memorable. I still love Burt's Bees products, but will avoid this one for now. -

I've always loved mousturizers with a great fragrance, but keep hearing about how most moisturizers have PBAs in them. I didn't want to give up those for a moisturizer that smelled like a health store variety (as in not very good). I love this Burt's Bees Milk and Honey because it smells just as good as any body shop product, but it also doesn't have any of the chemicals I've keep hearing I should avoid. -
