I received Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum for free in exchange for a review after trialling it. I’ve been searching for a skincare line that addresses aging and sensitivity. I was excited to be chosen to trial this serum as the description states that it “Instantly leaves skin feeling soothed & hydrated;
Leaves skin feeling smoother & healthier in just 1 week;
Visibly improves the look of dullness, uneven skin texture, fine lines & wrinkles in 4 weeks” without causing redness, dryness or sensitivity.
I tried it for 2 days and I had to discontinue using it as it caused redness on my cheeks and under my jawline became itchy. Also it left a film on my face that felt unnatural which was very unpleasant for me. I will not be purchasing this product in the future and I also do not feel confident in recommending it. Thank you for the opportunity to try it out.

I received this product for free to trial and provide a review. I was excited to try Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel as my skin has become even more sensitive and reactive after menopause. Also Aveeno as a brand has the reputation of effective and safe for sensitive skin. I have a daily facial skincare and I decided to replace my usual eye cream with this one.
The item description on Aveeno’s website states that “Improves the look of puffiness and dullness, and visibly energizes the look of tired eyes, in just 1 week” so I used it for 1 week, once in the morning and again in the evening which is my usual routine. The skin around my eyes looked moisturized after I applied the gel. It however took a while for it to sink into my skin and it also felt like it left a film similar to a primer that has silicone in it which I found unpleasant. Glad that there was no heavy scent. My regular eye cream works much better for me so I will not continue using this eye gel.

I was curious to try Sambucol Black Elderberry Immunity and Cold + Flu gummies with the damp winter months coming up. They taste so good. I’ve taken 2 doses as per instructions on the package. I am not sure if it helped but I purchased a full-size bottle to continue trying it out. I usually get a bit nauseous taking zinc but I had no nausea or dizzy feeling after eating this gummy. Try it. You’ll have to restrain yourself from eating more than directed.
