I've been struggling with headaches/migraines for the past 4-5 years and admittedly, my go-to is typically not Tylenol. It's not that I have anything against Tylenol specifically, but my house brand when I was living at my parents' home was Advil and that's what I stuck with into adulthood as well.
Thanks to a whopping coffee-induced headache (this is important), I was given the opportunity to try Tylenol's daytime relief pill. Typically 1 pill is enough to ease up the pain enough to get me through most of the day. However, I failed to see that this Tylenol contained both acetaminophen but also contained caffeine. Because was 99% sure the reason I had a headache was too much coffee, this was a terrible mix. While I didn't feel any worse, I was still feeling like crap 2 hours after taking Tylenol.
Unfortunately, that's what did it in for this particular Tylenol brand. I'm sure it would have worked just fine for someone who had a headache unrelated to coffee. But I personally wouldn't want to carry multiple kinds of pain relievers in my purse (one with and one without caffeine) and take one depending on what kind of headache I have at that point in time.

Admittedly, I first thought this was a hand cream because of its inverted triangle shape and when you lather it into your hands, it does not soap up very much, even when you're in the shower. While it does leave my skin feeling very soft and moisturized whilst in the shower, the fact that it does not lather up very well leaves me a little bit disappointed. Having said that, I absolutely love this scent from L'Occitane and would love to be gifted another hand cream (wink wink nudge nudge )

Most mouthwashes that I've tried in the past are either overly minty or have such an overwhelming alcoholic taste that I could probably start a fire if I spat onto a match. Neither of these tastes were appealing to me so I was skeptical that I would enjoy Listerine's Total Care mouthwash. But seeing as it was made with zero alcohol, I was happy to give it a shot.
Admittedly, my husband tried it first. I watched his facial features carefully for any indication that the mouthwash was overtly strong, but I was pleasantly surprised that nothing of the sort happened. Satisfied that he has not immediately spat it out, I tried my luck and took a swig. It was minty fresh, but not offensively so. It still had the bite of the typical mouthwash, but it was much more subdued than any other I had tried before. My mouth was left feeling fresh and ready for the day (or night ) for a couple of hours before the taste completely dissipated.
All in all, this was a great mouthwash and I loved how it didn't contain a lick of alcohol.

Lightning is a very important component in our home. It not only has to be functional, but in my opinion it also needs to suit the room's theme and overall mood. We hate using the "big light" in our living/dining room area, so receiving this single-pendant light from Canadian Tire (thanks to Butterly) was the perfect opportunity to switch it out!
This light fixture had lots of height so its super adjustable to fit whatever room or space you need it to. Despite hanging it over out dining room table, we had to cut the length quite a bit in order for it to be perfect. According to my husband, it was simple to install once we figured out the proper length.
Although I wish it had more than one bulb to provide more light, I absolutely love its rustic brown rope finish. But the best part is the light that cuts through the rope, making vertical light and shadows dance across the walls and ceiling. It has provided wonderfully moody lighting when we're having dinner and if we find its just a smidge too dark, we simply turn on an adjacent lamp (which we have ALOT of lol). This would also work beautifully in a bedroom, a walk-in closet, or a foyer.

Tis the season for short shorts and sundresses! Showing off more skin means being extra aware of what we put on it to make sure it remains protected. A good sunscreen will protect you from harmful UV rays, but a good lotion will make sure to retain all that moisture to keep your skin looking and feeling soft and supple.
Although most folks prefer unscented products, I loved the fresh, floral scent from this dermatologist-developed body lotion. I used it after showers on my body and periodically on my hands throughout the day whenever they were feeling a little dry. The consistency was just right (not too thick or thin), did not feel greasy, and I felt it kept my hands soft for quite a while. This one's a keeper!!

I had tried a Lancome product about a year ago from the same line, so the packaging was very familiar to me. This triple serum comes in a beautiful package, its cylindrical mercury-dipped bottle very similar to the serum of the same line. Like its sister product, the interior separates the 3 liquid components inside and only mixes them once you pump the product onto your finger.
After trying this eye serum for a few weeks,I was pleasantly surprised that this one made the skin around my eyes feel super soft and hydrated! It is packed with vitamin C and F, which promotes skin repair and growth. Although the package recommends using this twice a day (once in the morning and again at night, I only used this product at night so it gave the product time to really soak into my skin. Plus, I felt it a bit cumbersome to apply eyemakeup after applying this serum.
Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone wanting to promote healthy skin around their eye area!

Anyone who knows me personally knows that although I love playing with makeup, I am most definitely not a lipstick girlie. And on the odd chance that I do wear lipstick, I typically stick to matte lipsticks in either red or purple-ish hues.
When I do purchase lipsticks, I tend to stick to known brands like Mac, Nars, etc so I expected a similar quality from Armani and I was not disappointed. I received the prisma glass lip oil in the 02 shade called Candy Halo. The packaging felt luxe and the product easily glides over lips and stays on without that sticky icky feeling lower-end lip glosses tend to have. Although the colour isn't my cup of tea, I would wear this product atop of a darker shade of lipstick for another layer of dimension and shine.

The good: Noma's 52" inch ceiling fan is super sleek in this matte black and gold colour combo, has several different light temperatures and boasts 8 fan speeds. The highest setting is very strong and will easily pick up and whirl any loose papers around your room.
The bad: We use an older model of this ceiling fan in our other bedroom which emits a very quiet but (in my opinion) very soothing white noise. While this fan is near-silent there's an odd clicking/ticking sound even at the lowest speed. I'm unsure if it is the fan itself or maybe it needs to be tightened but it is enough to keep me up at night.
The ugly: Why in the world would we need nearly three feet of wire when the connection is made within a few inches of each other?! It was a challenge to wrap it all up so it would be hidden away from view. All the pieces also fit super tight together, leaving very little room for error. The final screws coming from below the black metal covering plate were nearly impossible to install because of the mountain of wires it was covering, which consequently also covered up the holes. It was pretty aggravating to install, especially given how easy the previous model is to handle in comparison.
Overall, it was a great product to test and I will definitely be keeping it in our bedroom so long as we can figure out whats making that clicking sound...

Now when I first received this full-sized sample or Urban Decay's "Face Bond" foundation to try, I honestly did not believe it would match my skintone at all. Despite going through the selection process carefully, the medium shade that showed up in my mailbox looked far too dark. I applied it to my wrist and nodded in disappointment: yes, it did indeed look too dark. But, just for the hell of it, I applied the product to my face using my foundation brush and, boy, was I wrong...
This shade matched my tanned skin (thanks, Florida!) to a T! Once I recovered from my ecstatic jump of joy, I took a better look at everything the product had to offer to provide my honest opinion. This waterproof foundation contains 3% niacinamide, which is a form of vitamin B3 (also found in foods such as meat, green vegetables, eggs, etc.). Unlike heavier foundations, it felt like I had nothing at all on my face and it looks smooth and very natural-looking. True to its claims, I did not have to apply any setting powder. In fact, it dried very quickly to the touch which is sort of a double-edged sword. While I didn't need to wait for it to dry to apply other products (blush, bronzer, etc), I found you had to work very fast to blend it out.
For its size, $57 is quite the steep pricetag but like most Urban Decay products, you get what you pay for. Admittedly, I own two Urban Decay palettes and have hit pan quite on more than one eyeshadow tin, which speaks to their high-quality products. The applicator is pretty nifty, but I worry it will make getting those last drops of foundation at the bottom of the bottle nearly impossible to get to. I guess we'll see about that when I finish up the bottle, which I most certainly will!!
Thank you Butterly for the opportunity to review this sample in exchange for my honest opinion!

Aveeno has been my go-to brand for hand lotion ever since I worked in an office which everyone knows is typically a very dry and arid environment. I've used their lotion fairly regularly post-shower as well in order to lock in as much moisture into my skin as possible, especially on my freshly-shaven legs.
The only qualm I've ever had with Aveeno's traditional lotions is the trail of white that needs to be rubbed in fairly well in order for it to disappear. While it isn't usually bothersome, it sometimes does rub off onto my pant legs if I am in a hurry. But, like its name suggests, Aveeno's gel moisturizer is clear, so there is no need to spend a couple of minutes to really rub in the lotion which works for people who are in a hurry (or just sort of lazy...guilty!)
I enjoyed its consistency, refreshing feel, and its fragrance-free formula makes it a winner in my book. Thank you to Butterly who sent me this full-sized sample in exchange for my honest review.
